I just realized, in the tutorial Mario is fighting by himself with Luigi cheering him on, but in the final boss Luigi is fighting by himself with Mario cheering him on. Anyone else find that kind of sweet?

I’m curious if it’s possible to do essentially the same challenge but Mario is actually dead and you have to carry him throughout every fight

I saw another challenge run that was posted at about the same time of beating the game without using action commands, which felt pretty similar up to the point where you grabbed the mush badge. On that challenge the runner specifically did not pick up the mush badge because he felt it would trivialize things.

I could easily imagine this game simply being moded to remove a bro. The game is already coded to target 1 bro while the other is downed, so just activate that and tweak the cutscenes/dialogue and puzzles (maybe some new animations for overworld movement). Boom, done.
