Just rented and drove one of these from Baltimore, MD to Tampa, Fl and back. It was comfortable to drive
I have a 17 and love it! Interior is simple but feels luxurious. Exterior is stylish and unique. Great car!

The Lonewolf I prefer the Chrysler 300 in every way over this car. Better and far more reliable drivetrain, far more luxurious and the 300 is faster..

I have a 2016 Malibu Premier 2.0L. It's been a good purchase. A couple of issues taken care of under warranty, which is to be expected.

@Harry Poter run premium gas 91 or higher no more turbo lag . I have a 2019 Malibu Premier and only put 91 octane or higher and she runs like a champ very little to no turbo lag

The Malibu has been around since 1964. This car is considered the 9th generation. Sadly it will probably be the last generation as it might not live past 2022 or 2023.

I am looking to purchase a 2020 Chevy Malibu soon and I was wondering if you guys can share some pros and cons about this car? I have heard some bad things about steering/handling and I am curious about the CVT transmision and its reliability? Also anything else you can add about the car that you like and dont like. Honest reviews will be much appreciated!
Just out of experience in general. Don't buy one with the CVT transmission. From any brand, not just GM. They aren't nearly as reliable as a conventional 9 speed Automatic. CVT transmissions have a tendency for breaking down a long time before the 9 speed transmission would. It's also a hefty chunk of change to repair/replace a cvt
Cars like this don't ever depreciate in value, when you upgrade, or replace, the parts. That's why they call Those Old-school Vehicles, ( Muscle - Cars ). You have to take care of anything, that You are responsible for......................

Gm brought the holden commodore ssv over to North America and called it the Chevy SS. 6.2 V8 sedan. It was a flop. GM won't make anything like that again anytime soon

What would seal the deal would be all LED head and tail lights, real and more wood, more aluminum in the interior, and stitched leather.
Adjustable seatbelts and sunglass holder as well!
The headlamps are full-LEDs, as well as the tail lamps; however, I don't think GM would make authentic wood an available option at this price point, and, if anything, the out-going Impala may would have had the genuine wood instead.

I got one and it has 3000 miles on it. The fuel gauge already broke so when full tank of gas is full it doesn't show it on the dashboard.
No rain detector on it ??, but may be it has another name in US .

No parking sensors, adaptive cruise, or what seems to be any advanced drivers assist features on a 2020 Top trim Chevrolet? Even a much cheaper Nissan Versa comes with those for crying out loud... in 2020 for a top trim these should be standard.

That's a pretty heavy car at over 3200 lbs
Well every other car in it's class is a pig then, because at 3200 lbs it's the lightest. The Camry with it's 4 cylinder weighs in at 3300 to 3400, with the v6 it's 3500 almost 3600 lbs. Accord comes close at 3300 to 3400 lbs, Mazda 6 2.5t comes in at 3500+ lbs. Nissan with the 2.0t is mid 3400 lbs. Comparing to other cars that it competes with the Malibu is very light. The Malibu has a lot of faults, being heavy is not one of them.
The Honda Accord and Toyota Camry easily puts the Malibu and Impala to SHAME 😂😂

I'm not impressed with the Malibu. The car is under powered and handling is a chore out on the highway. The outside is plain and boring. It has no detailing to spark interest or make the car more attractive to customers. Inside, the car is uncomfortable. You have to play with the seat adjustments for several minutes, parked and while driving. Interior is shabby and cheap plastic. I'm happy I didn't buy this car. I decided to try out the Impala. Far better than this cheap knock off of a Toyota.
