      The poor impala, I'm on my third now and everyone always asks how my Malibu is doing. Hell I got a parking ticket once and it said Malibu on it. I think just the total lack of marketing killed the impala. That and the sudden demand of suv crossovers. I honestly hope the Malibu isn't killed off as well when my time comes to trade in. For me a GM family car has been a purchasing tradition whether good or bad and I am certainly not caving into buying a crossover or suv.

      @Czlowiek Znikad having experience with working in the service dept of a Japanese brand you'll be amazed how much blind loyalty goes on. Cars Falling apart, mechanical faults etc and all the customer says " it's okay just please have it repaired." Whereas if it's a domestic God forbid a mistake was made and its somehow the end of the world.

    1. IF I only had the money...
    2. Even IF I did, GM vehicles have been complete money pits for ages. The 1999-2005 Silverados/Sierras/Tahoes/Suburbans/Yukons are the only reliable vehicles GM has produced. So if anything, I'd be leery on buying a Chevy or anything from GM.
    3. GM should NOT have axed the 3800 V6 engine, which was their most reliable engine they have ever produced. When the Malibu was revived in '97, GM had the 3800 V6 in most of them, along with its mechanically identical twin, the Olds Cutlass. It was stupid for them to downsize the Malibu since the '08 model years.

    • @Stressless2023
      @Stressless2023 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I remember reading that the 3800's were discontinued for emissions reasons, or something that those old motors couldn't comply with when it came to government mandates. Not sure on that but I remember something about it because of all the public outcry when GM announced it would be axed after 2009.

    • @Stressless2023

      These don't sell poorly. GM moves 100k of these a year, just not as many as Toyota/Honda sells. And yeah these will depreciate more than the Japanese alternatives, but the cost of entry is always thousands less than those cars. This car will sell for close to $10k under MSRP if the buyer is even halfway savvy.

    Ya Ben it looks like a Chrysler 200. I currently have this as a rental car. I had a dodge charger as a rental awhile back . I personally like the charger better. Visibility in the charger seemed to be quite abit better. I know it's technical two different class of cars. I like the screen setup on the chevy. Ben can you get a sxt charger for about the same price?!? It should be pretty close .

    I have a 2016 and it has multiple issues that the dealer couldn't figure out. Wouldn't recognize that it had been shifted into park, throttle would surge and almost cause you to get into an accident, the back windshield leaked over the high mount stop light, the check engine light came on about the air filter and never could get it to go off. The only nice parts were keyless ignition and apple carplay. The carpet was so cheap that you couldn't get the dirt to come out of it when vacuuming. Thankfully I totaled last month and am waiting for the insurance payout and then I'm getting an Altima.
