Permatex should’ve paid you for making this video. Thanks for making it, their written instructions were a little challenging to follow.

Started reading the directions that came with and after the 1st step went right to TH-cam. Thanks man. Perfect
Glad I could help!
After being quoted $150 to fix my windshield crack, I knew there had to be a way to get this done cheaper. I found your video, bought the same product, followed your instructions, and it worked! Thank you so much for the clear instructions. You saved me $134!!
Glad it helped
First time I've seen someone do this on their own. Looked exactly like what the pros did when I had mine fixed. Nice job! Looks great too!
Thanks Brian! It worked like a charm.
Why I thought dude was the savitar Barry Allen 😂
Twins
The other one has pizza face
Literally
Everybody got side projects
You just fucked me up with that lmfaoo 🤣
Great video. Sticks to the point and well explained. Doing this fix on my Sienna today. Key is get at it as soon as you see a crack. Doesn’t take long to expand.
Agreed. Gotta catch it before it spreads!
Im so glad I found this video! I felt so lost and intimidated reading the instructions 😢 and then remembered TH-cam has it all! ❤❤❤❤ much appreciated for the easy tutorial ❤
Glad I could help!
@@itsbentestedthat is not a safety razor. That is called a single edge razor blade. Safety razors have 2 edges and go into a safety razor holder for shaving your face. They're called safety razors because they have a guard that stops you from cutting yourself if you put too much pressure.
THANK YOU so much for this. The written instructions are a little intimidating for a car repair novice. Your video made it very easy to understand. And I love that you’re a fellow Office fan. 😁
You're welcome!
Thank you for the easy to understand instructions. I was able to follow through n fix my windshield. Your wife is so lucky
I read the instructions and followed your video. It's good to have both. But your video was the key to my success. It looks so much better and smooth to the touch. Thanks Ben👍
I'm English so I had a cup of tea whilst waiting. The instructions for my kit were absolutely useless so your video was very helpful. Thanks
You’re welcome 😊
Very accurate, concise, and to the point.
I watched your video, then read the instructions that come in the package just in case. *You nailed it.*
You're the man! Awesome video...I had a rock slung at my toyota tacoma recently and your vid is very easy to follow. It's timed perfectly...
Glad it helped
Super helpful video! Tried looking at the manufacturer's site for a video demo but it was hard to navigate.
Glad it was helpful!
I super needed a visual tutorial. Never been to your channel, I don’t think…but I really needed this. Thank you for posting, for whatever reason. ☺️
Glad it was helpful!
Create instructions my bro. Thank you. Just fixed our crack on our Chevy equinox. Thank you for the straightforward introductions.
I’m so glad it was helpful!
I rarely comment on TH-cam but this one deserves it! Thank you! This was awesome instructions that worked out well for me
Wow! Thank you. Such a kind thing to say.
Super appreciated for this video! Easy step by step instructions that I just used. Thank you!!
I got you.
Thanks for the help with the video, I’m a more visual learner and was a little confused about the plunger in/out etc…
Thank you. The instructions that came with it were not clear! You magically alleviated my headache.
Here to help :)
Honestly, I didn't even crack the instruction pamphlet. Thanks for supporting my lazy endeavors!
You saved time. I did, it sucks. That’s why I’m here!
Omg … you are my life saver I have a rental and I don’t know if they change for a Little Rock that hit the windshield and I have no plans on paying for a new windshield the only reason I’m in a rental is because my car is in the shop and you really did save me more money if they wanted me to pay this is a game changer and thank you so much for showing me how this works much love from Texas
Happy to help!
Actually this is the same thing that happened to me right now but Im not sure if this was already there and now spreading.
Thanks bud. This is my second time using this stuff and watching your vid this time helped a lot. This stuff works great
Thank you! Just gotten a chip in my window day..thought I would ‘first’ watch how to apply the product before. I go out and buy it..your video- ah simple and easy instructions and you showed how easy etc it is to do etc. (Laughed at your ending lol)
Saved this video to do it along when I do mine tomorrow ☺️ (raining today)
Thank you again for doing this video!!
Glad I could help!
Did some chip repair on mine today with the help of this video. worked great! Thanks man!
Glad it helped!
Quick and informative, GREAT VIDEO !
Thank you 🙏🏼
It works, so far so good. Mine was the size of a quarter. Thanks for your help 👍
SCORE!
Thank you so much!!! Just got done fixing mine using your tutorial. Did it ever crack again?
Nope! It's holding up great.
I hv a question at the last step. Once I removed the plastic n i see there is another attached to the window. I need to remove this one too right ? Thank you
Correct!
Thank you so much for posting this video. It was really helpful to me. 😁
Does anyone know if the tube had enough resin for two cracks? I really don’t want to buy a second, and I thought a kit would contain enough for two, but it looks like they include only one part for the applicator ring and all that.
what did you ever find out I'm in the same boat...just paid 20+ and I have 2 chips. Dont wanna pay 40+
Excellent video! Thanks for sharing! Helped simplify the procedure a great deal.
I got you :)
Very user friendly thank you so much.. did it myself! 🎉
Thank you so much for making this video!! You've helped many people who find it difficult to follow written instructions. (Mainly my son...thinks instructions aren't meant for him) 😅
Glad it was helpful!
Thank u so much!!!
I’ll try it tomorrow morning!! Is 101 right now here in south Texas!!
Yikes! Hopefully it worked.
Thank you sir. Well explained and well executed for the world to understand to do it by ourself. And Thank You “ Permatex Windshield Repair Kit “ for your wonderful magic work item.
What happens if I didn’t do it successfully with the syringe the first time ! I had to try 3 times to get through the stuck at the second line 😅
The random leaf blowing by at 6:12 was a nice added touch👌
ART!
What if the crack has started now. It's about 8 inches. I just found this stuff yesterday. Can I still use to prevent the crack from getting worse?
Easy to follow up! Thank you !
Glad it was helpful!
A+++ very well explained and shown. great video.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for this video. If I was left to the instructions from Permatex I would have been in trouble. The car recently got hit by a pebble kicked up by a truck which left a 1/4 inch divot in the glass. It wasn't so bad that I needed a new windshield but living in NH I know that in the winter this divot would eventually get worse. So I tried Permatex. Things to note about the process: With my Permatex kit the syringe metal stops broke immediately, and I had to fiddle with it to make it "sorta" work. No kidding about having a rag available. During my process today I had the 20 minute wait and left the vehicle for 10 minutes or so and came back to see a 9 inch resin river on my windshield. Fortunately it cleaned up easily but I'd recommend not to leave the vehicle during any of the steps. In the end the repair was pretty good. I'd say it looks about 90% better. The Permatex instructions are less than adequate, and the syringe stop metal broke. On a one to 10 basis, I give the product a 5 as far as ease of use and a 9 for results. Your video is a 10.
I agree. Permatex needs to create a QR code with this video attached because it was very helpful. I went cross eyed trying to read the instructions lol
@@lancer717 Hi, So true. Just an FYI. It has bee a little over 2 weeks since I used the stuff and it is holding up fine.
@@bobglin4209 thank you! I messed up during the dropper/ air suction part but it is better than it was before.
what a compliment :)
Thank you so much!
Thank you for this video!! I’m anxiously waiting to see if it works. Currently on the wait 10 minutes step. 😬 I’m in a Walmart parking lot so I super appreciate having this to reference so it looks like I know what I’m doing 😂
Edit: well it’s definitely still noticeable, but hopefully doing this will help it from spreading. Thanks again. I can at least rest a little better knowing I did what I could.
Yes - that's the hope.
Mine looks like I never touched it. Sux
After a few weeks Did it spread or got worse ? Or it just stay the same ? I'm doing it right now but I'm not sure if this will prevent it from spreading
@@xXKYKYXx99 it’s stayed about the same. I worry whenever I defrost the window, but so far everything has been fine. Hope the same will be true for you.
@@NevadaLamb how many cracks can you fix with one kit ?
Thank you so much for the guidance!!! The instructions were unnecessarily confusing for me. 😵💫 Thank you for the help 👍
Right? Glad it helped
dang, i think i didnt put enough of the resin liquid in the pedestal (hard to tell how much goes in there). so it got a little better, but still can see 1 of the 3 radiating cracks (about an inch long each), that i had. has anyone tried to fix the same chip twice? if yes, did you try to remove the resin from the first try, or just did it on top of it? thanks!
Happened to me also. But the outside of the glass is smooth. So I’m guessing it will not get worse. So I’ll wait and see.
@@allenmahan505still good?
A lot clearer than the instructions, thank you for the video 🙏🏼
You’re welcome 😊
I didn’t even read the instructions in the box😂😂 I followed his steps on the video as I worked 😄 and it worked 😀
I lost the curing strip and I had already gone through the process. Do I have to use the curing strip? What happens if I don’t and how could I fix it?
Thank you Flash for teaching me how to fix my windshield.
I got you :)
Thank you so much. Your video put me through my windshield Crack. I appreciate your video so much
Glad it helped!
Great video...... 👍 nicely explained
The instructions were kinda like a puzzle while reading it lol
Right now, it's cold like in the 40's .... nice day at this time of year tho. It's been cloudy all week with little or no sunlight. I'm wondering if I just turn on the vent for the windshield to use it as sunlight instead.... will that work, you think? Thanks first
howd it go?!
I have 3 large cracks generated from middle bottom of screen up to 1/3 Rd of windshield screen. Can permatex fill and repair them completely?
no, these really more are for chips that you don't want turning into cracks
Great video!! Thank you!!😊
Thanks man, you are good at teaching to simpletons such as myself
I got you
Great video, I just did this watching your video as well as reading the instructions.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for the instructions. Mine partially worked. The crack is faintly visible. The resin also escaped from mine after about 15 minutes on the 2nd part of the syringe portion when you push air in.. Also, on the initial tape that you put down on the center of the bulls eye to attach the components, there is protected cover you need to remove on both sides.
Totally!
This is great. SafeLite really jacked up their prices. It's been a year or so since you published this. How has the repair held up?
It's been perfect. just stayed a chip. No bigger larger crack
Great video, thanks for making. I did have a cup of tea and m&ms 🤣.
Snacks!
Thanks for showing me brotha didn’t have to read the instructions before buying it super easy !
Nice!!
I did this and this kit make a crack in my rock dent!
Thanks for this video good sir!
Thanks. Currently in the mountains in Colorado and need to do this as no autoglass people willing to come out.
Hope it worked!
Thank you, I got big rock chip today and fixing now. Look how it goes😅
Hope it works!
Thanks for the video. Just fixed my windshield. Looks 👍
Score!!
Thanks! Is it still holding strong?
Yup!
Thanks for making this. The included instructions suck although they are very thorough. I just enjoy the video format more so im grateful to you sir.
Of course!
You have a twin in California named Brendan Goodman. I thought you were my apprenticeship teacher for a minute, making TH-cam videos.
thanks for the info on the windshield
Brendan, sounds like a great guy!
Good video and easy to understand 👌
Thank you!
This product and illustration really works
Agreed!
thanks. i have a spidered rock chip on my prius in going to fix with this kit
Excellent video and great explanation. You saved me money thank you
Glad it helped you!
thanks for the video, helpful
You are so welcome :)
I didn’t touch the instructions in the kit once & just followed what was shown in the video. Been almost two weeks and nothings spread! It’s hard to even tell where it is unless it’s sunny.
That's what I like to hear!
Got another chip on a recent road trip. Round 2! 😂
Thanks for the video it worked like a charm. 😊😊😊
Glad to hear it!
Nice. Great video. ❤
Appreciate the love!
Is there one with a bigger hole? The crack on my windshield is small but spread out
Not sure, sorry.
Great video. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
Ok Mr Savitar , it works on bigger cracks ? Or just on the small ones
Has to fit within the hole
I am guessing that is a fiberglass casting resin with acetate. ... just a guess.
Thank you for the price quote. It actually really helps they brought [the price point] down a little. Cracks are illegal here in Cali; so, $25 would be a major setback for a sole proprietor. But a crackt shield should get replaced is as the other point.
Beautiful job with the directives. My multi-dialect english would never have read that correctly.
Thanks for the video! I'll be doing the same procedure to the same color same model prius of my own. Cheers!
Prius buds!
What if it was long crack not small spot like that? Need help at ls
use it at the point of impact (or starting part of crack)
Thanks for your video Luv your Instructions

Great help thank you!🎉
No problem!
Bout to do this on this weekend!
hope it worked!
Mr. Vanheer, 1st time viewer I'm just wondering the windshield has to be Quarter side to repair the problem that's said not pit bite correct
Appreciate your reply
Thank You! Sir
These kits are made for chips and to stop the chip from cracking fully.
Easy explanation 👍🏼 well done 📌 THX

Can I do this the night before and leave last step till morning?
I believe so!
This video was a 9.5/10. The Prison Mike at the end made it 10/10 lol thank you. I've used this product before, maybe a decade ago. Solid product, this time wanted a refresher. Thank you.
Thank you for the honest review :)
Thanks for your video. It was a great help. The instructions on my kit are rubbish.
