I can't believe I found this!!! This is an answer to prayer. I need to loose some weight and was thinking of how to begin. I was wanting to find an exercise video that didn't involve any music, but thought that was impossible. Than literally as I was thinking this, your upload update showed up on my phone! Hello Marilyn, We are glad that you enjoyed the exercise video. To answer your question about stretching, we recommend self myofasical release using various tools like balls, a foam roller, or a special "stick" to loosen trigger points and to aid in regaining range of motion. Dynamic stretches are excellent as a warm up and are only held for approximately 2-3 seconds. Static stretches are ideal at the end of your workout and can be held from 30-60 seconds. I totally loved it, I have very bad kneees . could not do squats and lunges. can you make a vedio for knee pain, A work out that can be done with knees not getting hurt.
Hello Sridevi, I am sorry to hear that you have pain in your knees. Here are a suggestions: IF you have pain in your knees while doing an exercise then avoid it. You mentioned that squats and lunges don't make your knees feel very good, so perhaps you want to try doing a "step up" instead. This exercise is more gentle on the knees and can help build strength in the legs. If you have a stair step in your home try stepping up and down on it 8-10 x on each side. Hold onto a rail if you need too for balance. Then try to wean yourself off from using the rail. Try doing 2 or 3 sets of 10 repetitions on each side. If you do not have a stair step in your home, you can purchase a step with risers. Please see the link. www.livingspringsretreat.com/affiliates Other forms of exercise that are easier on the joints (particularly the knees) would include: rebounding, swimming, and biking. I would also suggest that you take a look at the joints above and below your knees. In this case, your hips and your ankles. Are they tight and immobile? If so, it can cause knee pain. Try massages the muscles around the knee, the thigh in particular and the calf muscles. You may get a professional massage or perform self massage with a foam roller or massage stick. You can find these items here: www.livingspringsretreat.com/affiliates Simply roll your thighs (inner and outer) in a back and forth motion while applying pressure. This will help to loose the knots and adhesions that have accumulated in the muscle tissue restricting blood flow and causing pain. Try 20 strokes on each major muscle group. Be consistent with your massage and see if that helps relieve your knee pain. It is also important to stretch. It would be wise to continue the stretching routine that you saw in our video.
