I've listened to many of Barb's lectures over the last 5 years. I never tire of re-hearing life's important lessons - and she has stepped up her lessons with current science-based reserach so don't be fooled! She is the real deal. And she is responsible for my having a rebounder and doing HIIT training both for the last 3 years. One I go to the gym for (Orange Theory Fitness' whole approach is based on the priciples she speaks of) and one I go outside to my patio for... I will be 60 years young soon and was a 45 pack year smoker in my former life. You can do the math! I can run a 12 minute mile and I am darned proud! 5 years ago I couldn't even get up from a kneeling position without help. Hugs.

I have a Bellicon Rebounder with a bar and use it almost daily and never get bored. Its the best thing I could have done for myself. I love putting on music and health bouncing and my little grandsons love it too! Enjoy!
Just found this channel! I’m 70-years-old. I’ve always been strong, but I was losing that. I may be 70, but I’m not going downhill easily. Age IS NOT an excuse!
I’m watching the video again. I have a rebounder and I will use it daily. I hate exercise but I like to get things accomplished. My yard is approximately an acre. I have a self propelled push mower, but I don’t always use that feature. I can definitely feel it in my core muscles and it actually feels good. I’m also a teacher-off for the summer. I’m scraping, sanding and touching up the paint on my home. I had cancer years ago and lots of surgery. I’m working on being the best and healthiest I can be. Got so many things to accomplish and experience😄
Wonderful news a out walking out early and I believe her. Unfortunately, where I live in UK, you are at great risk walking alone in desolate areas. There is much crime here, especially in places like Bristol, Bradford, Leeds etc.
I am just turning my body around after 35 years of being bedbound and housebound through chronic illness , I started walking in may and the difference is phenomenal!!! My body has changed beyond recognition and I used to be a dancer. It’s better than it was when I was dancing! You continue your talks and keep educating us xx

I am 70, broke a mid back (T9) vertebrae 10 months ago. I got a job washing floors in a geriatric hospital 4 months ago and brought my back brace to work. Inbtge first week my back hurt bad after an 8 hour work day. Next week less. Now, I alternate not wearing the brace sometimes. I can lift heavier weights now than I could 20 years ago. I love my job! After 35 years working a desk job, this is beginning a new chapter. My husband loves the new me!
I don’t have an exercise routine. I just love walking through the endless woods in my backyard. It’s me and my dog. Mainly all I see is deer and lots of birds. I do gardening as well. It is helpful if you love the movement you are doing.
Walking plus some strength work to build muscles. My mom is 87 and she wears her 1 lb ankle weights while walking. My neighbor is 91 and she does chair yoga for muscle strengthening. Rosita 🌹
My mom never had arm muscles until she was 73. I let her drag her garden hose and put a better handle on her garden cart and she learned to take care of her plants, and bird feeders herself when I was trapped there during Covid. We walked three hours a day, she had never invested in a jog bra or walking shoes, go to a shop and let them fit you. She kayaks, and puts it in out/of her vehicle herself. Goes to physical therapy if she is has issues. My dad in another state is an active gardener already. I really feel better when I am stronger. Can't wait to share this with her and others.

Ms. O'Neil's knowledge and her generosity of sharing knows no bounds. I have never dedicated myself to any workout sport program except for simple yoga. This program was explained so clearly and easily that I must try it today. I trust every bit of her tutorial and know my 78 year old body will become younger.

My good friend is 75 years old and a fan of Barbara's lectures and she definitely doesn't look like 75. I am 57 and should have gotten an operation for Hallux Valgus 9 years ago, which was giving me lots of trouble. Since I changed to barefoot shoes my Hallux Valgus started to disappear totally. I have always been wearing totally flat shoes with wide toe boxes, yet changing to barefoot shoes (formal events, church, hiking, weddings,... only barefoot shoes) made all the difference. I experienced many more positive effects but this is the most extreme one. Try it!
I just started doing this and I already see and feel the improvement (1 week). My mind is awake. I’m gaining muscle and balance, and it’s only been a week. I use the “cellercizer” rebounder by David Hall. It’s the best in my opinion. It’s safe to use, gentle on your joints and ankles, and adjusts to your personal body weight. I was doing the health bounce for 10 minutes daily, but since adding in 30 seconds of jumping followed by 1 minute of health bounce for 3 or 5 rounds, I have noticed huge benefits, namely more energy and better elimination as well as feeling stronger. Barbara O Neil is wonderful.

I've only just found Barbara I love her videos I've just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I just watched my first video about water and celtic salt and was amazed, my Cholesterol is through the roof, so I'm going to watch Barbara's videos and save my body and my life by learning and follow her teachings. I do stairs 45 floors HIIT 3x/week. 5 floors running as fast as I can, then 5 floors slow walk and alternate that all the way up. 68 years old and will continue this "forever"
so if i can find 5 floors i can go up and down 8 times. I doubt there is a building w 45 floors. I love doing stairs . Thank You So Much :) i also love steep up hill which is around the corner from me. I could just go up and down i guess maybe 10 times maybe 5 times and work my way up to 10 times
i walk about 10miles most days of the week, anyway i thought id give the stairs challenge a go, i was out of breathe after doing 6 floors, and just about done 11 floors to my flat!!

I am 78 and now up out of the chair, walking a treadmill, drinking water and Celtic salt, eating far less carbs and plan to reduce them even more, eating healthy fats and protein. Yep, low carb, or very very low carb heals us more quickly and for longer than stuffing ourselves with too much plant food or that horrid man made fake meat

I went and bought a {cheaper than Bellicon} rebounder straight after watching this. It's been only 10 days since then, but it has truly been a life-changing experience. The amount of energy it helps you generate is unreal. Word of warning: don't bounce too late in the evening because you'll be still buzzing at 3 am in the morning! Haha.

I got my rebounder and tried it out. Felt right. Had one years ago. I'm 80 and a heart patient but pretty convinced this will be a good thing. Checking in with my doctor of course but I'm sure this will be a good thing. This is better in so many ways than my treadmill.

I'm 73 and have been exercising my whole life - I am not doing as much as I could be, and am showing signs of age - the arms are flabby...But I am back on track, and this video is perfect for me now. I am committed to getting in as best shape as possible, this is very encouraging. I'm a massage therapist, and iI agree, that it's not enough exercise!

@@BM-vc9ry Most salt has plastics and table salt is the worst because it is highly processed and has chemicals to make it pour easier. Celtic comes from the ocean which is full of plastics now. It is more expensive also. Redmonds does not have any toxins that are in the ocean and it will not travel to you as far as Celtic or sea salt. Both have 84 minerals and its the minerals that you want.

She ensures that her lessons are up-to-date with science-based research, something that many doctors nowadays seem to neglect. It's disheartening to see how they fail to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of medicine. Research plays a crucial role in developing new treatments and therapies. While most physicians have an interest in staying informed about new research, treatments, and trials that could benefit their patients, the sheer amount of information can be overwhelming. I never grow tired of revisiting life's important lessons. Currently, it is imperative that we do our own research since doctors are not adequately keeping up with the ever-evolving field of medicine. It's a sad reality, but true. Thank you so much, Barbara.
HiiT training is so effective as Barbara has made clear. It's intense yet is such a great tool to strengthen not just your muscles but also your heart. At one time, HiiT was the training I would do but I began to feel tired and worn out. Yet, it wasn't the type of fatigue one expects when doing HiiT. Then I began to gain weight in spite of my training. No matter how well I ate and how often I trained, the weight kept piling on. You can imagine my frustration. Long story short, it turned out I had "Cushings" as a result of a tumor on one of my adrenal glands. The HiiT workouts I was doing was exacerbating the condition because it increased my cortisol to dangerously high levels. I had surgery to remove the tumor and eventually my one adrenal gland and my body began to adjust. However, I still have to be careful with my cortisol levels and therefore had to stop the Hiit workouts. Now I do "steady state" workouts as well as weight lifting. This made a significant difference in my cortisol levels and once that was under control, the weight fell off.
Thankyou for sharing that.I too get exhausted with Hiit & have to watch my cortisol levels too- with 5 immune complaints.I didn't get a flare with the hiit but sure did with some unpleasant stress.

Just found this channel. Pushing 400 years old (was former neigbior with George Washington's parents) and so much has changed since I was little. I've been pumping iron for nearly 350 years and had I not started so late in my early years (my wife bought me a Joe Weider home weight set on my 50th birth day) my muscles today would NOT have that full and grainy look. People accuse me of over doing it but when they realize I look like something Michelangelo carved out of stone, suddently they all want to know my secrets. I simply provide them with a copy of Mike Mentzer's Heavy Duty HIIT routine and encourage them that if they're prepared to go heavy duty for the next 350 years, they too can look hard full and grainy. Diet is vital though.

One more important point about barefoot running (starting around the 43:00 mark), if you're changing from heel-strike to ball-strike make sure your stride length is shorter (which it probably will be, intuitively, so when your body naturally shortens your stride length, don't make the mistake of thinking that there's something wrong)

Same here! I eat a light dinner early too so that becomes like a fasting. I walk up to 15 hours per week in all weather. Simple healthy diet. Nearing 70 and it has worked so far. Many think i am 10-15 years younger. Main thing is i feel good😃🖐
I am in my early 60's.....I have been into health for decades... Gym junkie for years ... I had to my first child at 38..the second at 42....and I look 10 yrs younger than most my age..my kids... 1 is a Competitive Irish dancer....the other a Personal Trainer and amateur golfer..... I now dance 3-4 nights a week....Rock and Roll ...3 hrs at a time....I love it!! It's the best thing 💖💃

When I was a runner I had a resting HR of 47. The doctor knew I was a runner and commented on that. Also, thank you for this video. I actually worked harder in my HIIT class since I better understand the concept!!

This presentation was an answer to a specific prayer on getting myself together.
I am 70, broke a mid back (T9) vertebrae 10 months ago. I got a job washing floors in a geriatric hospital 4 months ago and brought my back brace to work. Inbtge first week my back hurt bad after an 8 hour work day. Next week less. Now, I alternate not wearing the brace sometimes. I can lift heavier weights now than I could 20 years ago. I love my job! After 35 years working a desk job, this is beginning a new chapter. My husband loves the new me!
I don’t have an exercise routine. I just love walking through the endless woods in my backyard. It’s me and my dog. Mainly all I see is deer and lots of birds. I do gardening as well. It is helpful if you love the movement you are doing.
Walking plus some strength work to build muscles.
My mom is 87 and she wears her 1 lb ankle weights while walking.
My neighbor is 91 and she does chair yoga for muscle strengthening.

My mom never had arm muscles until she was 73. I let her drag her garden hose and put a better handle on her garden cart and she learned to take care of her plants, and bird feeders herself when I was trapped there during Covid. We walked three hours a day, she had never invested in a jog bra or walking shoes, go to a shop and let them fit you. She kayaks, and puts it in out/of her vehicle herself. Goes to physical therapy if she is has issues. My dad in another state is an active gardener already. I really feel better when I am stronger. Can't wait to share this with her and others.

My good friend is 75 years old and a fan of Barbara's lectures and she definitely doesn't look like 75.
I am 57 and should have gotten an operation for Hallux Valgus 9 years ago, which was giving me lots of trouble.
Since I changed to barefoot shoes my Hallux Valgus started to disappear totally. I have always been wearing totally flat shoes with wide toe boxes, yet changing to barefoot shoes (formal events, church, hiking, weddings,... only barefoot shoes) made all the difference. I experienced many more positive effects but this is the most extreme one.

I just started doing this and I already see and feel the improvement (1 week). My mind is awake. I’m gaining muscle and balance, and it’s only been a week. I use the “cellercizer” rebounder by David Hall. It’s the best in my opinion. It’s safe to use, gentle on your joints and ankles, and adjusts to your personal body weight.

I was doing the health bounce for 10 minutes daily, but since adding in 30 seconds of jumping followed by 1 minute of health bounce for 3 or 5 rounds, I have noticed huge benefits, namely more energy and better elimination as well as feeling stronger. Barbara O Neil is wonderful.

I started over 2 years ago , needing change , I was severely overweight and could see myself turning 55 or 60 needing a Walker or being handicapped and dying early . I do stairs 45 floors HIIT 3x/week. 5 floors running as fast as I can, then 5 floors slow walk and alternate that all the way up. 68 years old and will continue this "forever"
so if i can find 5 floors i can go up and down 8 times. I doubt there is a building w 45 floors. I love doing stairs . Thank You So Much :) i also love steep up hill which is around the corner from me. I could just go up and down i guess maybe 10 times maybe 5 times and work my way up to 10 times

I am 78 and now up out of the chair, walking a treadmill, drinking water and Celtic salt, eating far less carbs and plan to reduce them even more, eating healthy fats and protein. Yep, low carb, or very very low carb heals us more quickly and for longer than stuffing ourselves with too much plant food or that horrid man made fake meat

I went and bought a {cheaper than Bellicon} rebounder straight after watching this. It's been only 10 days since then, but it has truly been a life-changing experience. The amount of energy it helps you generate is unreal. Word of warning: don't bounce too late in the evening because you'll be still buzzing at 3 am in the morning! Haha.
Is there a weight limit on the rebounder? I weigh 355lbs. right now.

I got my rebounder and tried it out. Felt right. Had one years ago. I'm 80 and a heart patient but pretty convinced this will be a good thing. Checking in with my doctor of course but I'm sure this will be a good thing. This is better in so many ways than my treadmill.

I'm 73 and have been exercising my whole life - I am not doing as much as I could be, and am showing signs of age - the arms are flabby...But I am back on track, and this video is perfect for me now. I am committed to getting in as best shape as possible, this is very encouraging. I'm a massage therapist, and iI agree, that it's not enough exercise!

@@BM-vc9ry Most salt has plastics and table salt is the worst because it is highly processed and has chemicals to make it pour easier. Celtic comes from the ocean which is full of plastics now. It is more expensive also. Redmonds does not have any toxins that are in the ocean and it will not travel to you as far as Celtic or sea salt. Both have 84 minerals and its the minerals that you want.

I have been listening to Barbara's lectures for quite some time now, and I must say she is truly remarkable. She ensures that her lessons are up-to-date with science-based research, something that many doctors nowadays seem to neglect. It's disheartening to see how they fail to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of medicine. Research plays a crucial role in developing new treatments and therapies. While most physicians have an interest in staying informed about new research, treatments, and trials that could benefit their patients, the sheer amount of information can be overwhelming. I never grow tired of revisiting life's important lessons. Currently, it is imperative that we do our own research since doctors are not adequately keeping up with the ever-evolving field of medicine. It's a sad reality, but true. Thank you so much, Barbara.
HiiT training is so effective as Barbara has made clear. It's intense yet is such a great tool to strengthen not just your muscles but also your heart.
At one time, HiiT was the training I would do but I began to feel tired and worn out. Yet, it wasn't the type of fatigue one expects when doing HiiT. Then I began to gain weight in spite of my training. No matter how well I ate and how often I trained, the weight kept piling on. You can imagine my frustration.
Long story short, it turned out I had "Cushings" as a result of a tumor on one of my adrenal glands. The HiiT workouts I was doing was exacerbating the condition because it increased my cortisol to dangerously high levels.
I had surgery to remove the tumor and eventually my one adrenal gland and my body began to adjust.
However, I still have to be careful with my cortisol levels and therefore had to stop the Hiit workouts. Now I do "steady state" workouts as well as weight lifting. This made a significant difference in my cortisol levels and once that was under control, the weight fell off.
Thankyou for sharing that.I too get exhausted with Hiit & have to watch my cortisol levels too- with 5 immune complaints.I didn't get a flare with the hiit but sure did with some unpleasant stress.

Once I turned 70, I instantly was older. I simply rotated the pedals on my bike. I learned to put more effort and return to my 60s activity.
Just found this channel. Pushing 400 years old (was former neigbior with George Washington's parents) and so much has changed since I was little. I've been pumping iron for nearly 350 years and had I not started so late in my early years (my wife bought me a Joe Weider home weight set on my 50th birth day) my muscles today would NOT have that full and grainy look. People accuse me of over doing it but when they realize I look like something Michelangelo carved out of stone, suddently they all want to know my secrets. I simply provide them with a copy of Mike Mentzer's Heavy Duty HIIT routine and encourage them that if they're prepared to go heavy duty for the next 350 years, they too can look hard full and grainy. Diet is vital though.

One more important point about barefoot running (starting around the 43:00 mark), if you're changing from heel-strike to ball-strike make sure your stride length is shorter (which it probably will be, intuitively, so when your body naturally shortens your stride length, don't make the mistake of thinking that there's something wrong)

Same here! I eat a light dinner early too so that becomes like a fasting. I walk up to 15 hours per week in all weather. Simple healthy diet. Nearing 70 and it has worked so far. Many think i am 10-15 years younger. Main thing is i feel good😃🖐

I had to my first child at 38..the second at 42....and I look 10 yrs younger than most my age..my kids... 1 is a Competitive Irish dancer....the other a Personal Trainer and amateur golfer.....
I now dance 3-4 nights a week....Rock and Roll ...3 hrs at a time....I love it!! It's the best thing 💖💃
