One funny thing that I have found during my sort time is that sometimes you can have extremely beautiful women or people in general or very talented when people mix their races. This is not even in scientific sense nothing new as different genes will make better results and lower the possibility to a genetic errors as have happened in the past when royalties across the Europe where almost all cousins or what ever between themselves and then they got this hemofilia and other severe problems. To have one of the best male singer ever and beeing a mix of asian and white tells it all. From all the other living things, people have made borders between other people and spesified others to be something else than they are and at same time some low life goose, or bear or fox or wolf goes across the border and find his or her mate and have a punch of puppies. I mean really you people??? You may think this is absurd, but think about this: ¨While we have tried for decades now to reach other intelligent beeings in the universe, what are the odds if they have any clue of what is going on here between us humans that they would ever want to contact us??? Seriously? If in your neighbour there is an abusive man or woman as it is even more common in reality in partnerships and women are also more prone to use violence , but not recorded as the damage and the pride of men makes this shade over this thing too along with the most difficult tabu ever called crib death. If we cannot be honest to ourselves and we just kill each other from decades and millenials to infinity... What intergalactic race if the travel even ever is possible would make friends with us??? Not a FUCKING ONE CIVILIZATION EVER want to make friends with us unless their planet just accidentally goes near my by in some weird free fall...
My girlfriend dragged me to see JOURNEY, as I thought they weren't my style. But when I heard Steve Perry sing live, I was blown away. 40 years later, it remains one of the best vocal performances I've ever seen.
Mother, Father from this same concert is an amazing vocal. Let's be honest, everything Steve sings is an amazing but that one is a track most people outside of lifelong Journey fans haven't heard and he slays it.
Yes, he is, “the voice”! Pure natural talent and they are so amazing they sound as good live as on their albums like you said. Steve still has that voice today, love them!
Best recommendation I can give: From the same concert, listen to Mother Father. One of the best rock vocal performances ever caught on video. Just stunning.
No video walls, no dancers, no ornate sets or 15 costume changes. Just talent and energy. That's the way it should be if you're going to call yourself a band....
Nonsense. Today’s bands are keeping up with, and taking advantage of technological breakthroughs to add even more to the concert experience. So, just like when your daddy told you that Rudy Vallee was the “end all be all”, and you rolled your eyes at him, today’s artists are rolling their eyes at you now.
It used to be that the studio helped make talented people more presentable. Nowadays they take commericial looking types and try to make them seen talented. There are exceptions, of course.
This entire concert is amazing!! I saw this as a teen back in 81' when it was shown on cable (which was a new thing at the time). My friend recorded on his (New thing at the time) VHS. We re-watched this concert a million times!!
Love your reaction! Open Arms, Mother Father and Stone in Love from the same 1981 Houston. Also Lights/Stay Awhile Live Osaka 1980, Faithfully, Walks Like A Lady, When You Love A Woman, Lovin Touchin Squeezin, Wheel in the Sky, Why Can't This Night Go On Forever, etc etc. Journey with Steve Perry's vocals are 🔥🔥🔥
Please react to "Mother, Father" The live version...Escape tour '81. Incredible, incredible vocals. The best performance by Steve in my opinion. Powerful lyrics and vocals!
I’m fortunate enough to have seen Journey on this tour. And the switch ups Steve Perry does now and then were the only way I could tell he wasn’t lip syncing in concert. To this day, I still remember my friends and I leaving in amazement. “They sounded just like the record! He didn’t even hit one bad note all night long!?” Because you asked, this isn’t even close to my favorite song. “Stone in Love” would be my rock and roll favorite. For a vocal showcase? Nothing beats “Mother, Father” live from this same show. Otherworldly abilities of The Voice Steve Perry
If you want to hear Steve's angelic voice hold a long note, MOTHER FATHER. From this SAME show. This was my first concert when I was in high school. The crap music today is really sad. I love watching people say, "How can they sound the same,, or BETTER, live?" than the released track. When musicians did NOT have computers to make them sound like they could play.
Every song by Journey with Steve Perry is good :-) The “Escape” concert was awesome, “Mother, Father”, “Lovin Touching Squeezing” “Open Arms” “wheel in the Sky” “ Any Way you Want it” Faithfully is for me one of the dullest songs and one of the few I like better in the original video, the video is so beautiful and emphasizes the depth of this song. Also excellent “When you love a Women” And there is so much more, Steve, the voice, is simply a gifted singer and his voice is out of this world.
I actually saw this tour but near the end in Ca. And yes they are fabulous live. Actually I prefer them live. If you want to see him go beyond with his voice, Mother Father from this same concert
Can't pick one. Too many. Love the Lights/Stay A While combo...live in Japan, Faithfully...official video, Mother Father, from this same Houston concert, Send Her My Love...just to start with. Lol
This is when you had sound techs who understood the acoustic changes and nuances in a live performances compared to studio. The sound tech on this did great EQ setting up the audio for the concert!!!!
One of my favorites is "Feeling That Way". Very early Journey, 1978, when Steve Perry had recently joined the band. It was really cool watching the transition from Greg Rollie to Steve during this song.
The live version of “Still They ride” is insane! Believe it’s in Tokyo. I saw Journey in Lincoln, Nebraska in 82’ or 83’. Ryan Adams opened. Love this band with Steve
This song is more popular today then back then. Live singing was the rule back then. How he can sing perfectly with his head so tilted always amazed me. I attended a concert on that tour. Lights is a great tune.
Steve was actually a shy guy. Comfortable on stage and very natural voice. He and Neal, guitarist, complimented each other very well. The chorus didn’t happen until 2:32 into the song.
Just saw a Jeans and Classics with Orchestra Kentucky two nights ago. Listened / watched this reaction to be reminded just how much better the real Journey was. And what I heard two nights ago was not bad.
I believe this is my favorite song of theirs. Steve is definitely one of the greatest singers ever, also Journey is an iconic band. Steve is making a comeback in 2024 after a long hiatus. Im really looking forward to be hearing from him again.
Steve is such a nice person as well. He lived in my area and at one point he was would sit in with local bands as a drummer and sometimes singer. We didn't know he was this level.
Steve Perry's greatest gift wasn't merely his voice, but his ability, his willingness to sell out to the moment and the audience. To give everything to the song and the emotions of the lyric. Originally Frank Sinatra was the first to be called "The Voice", but when it comes to this type of modern music Steve Perry wears the title well.
I was at this concert. One of the beat concerts I have ever been to. This concert tour was so brutal that Steve Perry went on complete vocal rest between performances. No talking at all.
that's one thing about journey and a few other bands back then but especially journey they match they're live performance just like their recording's !
The most fun I've ever had was with this song. I went with my daughter's high school band to New York. We went to the Stardust, and the servers sang this song. The whole school band joined in. If was so great. It felt like even the floor was vibrating. The drinks and silverware were visible vibrating. The servers were shocked that a high school band knew every word of this song.
Steve Perry is a Legend! "Don't Stop Believin' " is one of my all-time favorite songs. It's on my short list of when I hear this song I have to stop and listen to the whole thing and if I'm in control, I crank the volume. This is quintessential 1980's Rock.
I saw them live at my first concert at 12. In Seattle, WA. It was this tour. Steve Perry the singer was my all-time crush…named my cat after him. The version you mentioned at the end was authentic lime the album…somebody else sang it the way you just did.
Being a professional singer, you might appreciate this article that I came across about Steve Perry, the lead singer: “Steve Perry has the range of a high tenor and solid alto and is considered a countertenor. He is a rare tenor altino, a rare form of countertenor, a voice that many consider incomparable. His voice is very recognizable and a longtime friend of Perry's, Jon Bon Jovi, gave him the nickname, "The Voice."” Bon Jovi gave him the moniker in 1989 and it stuck with him for over 20 years.” Could you please react to the Official Music Video for the song “Faithfully”, which includes live performance segments and tells the story of the song! It’s my favorite song of all ❤ Amazing song and video!!!
I grew up during this time. And nobody faked it. It was all legit such a great time to grow up in! There were no backing tracks you got what you got for anywhere from $10-$20 for a ticket! Sure miss this time this music in those days great reaction and yes, Steve Perry was known as the voice back in the day
And don't forget this was late in the concert; he'd already been singing for over an hour by this point. Mother Father in this same concert will blow your mind. Still They Ride from Japan 1983 is also amazing, especially since Steve had the flu that night. Steve Perry was vocally perfect every single time; his tone was the same from the bottom to the top of his range.
What should I react to next?! Sponsor a reaction on my channel here: www.maggierenee.com/book-me/sponsor-a-reaction-live
Brooks and Dunn "Believe" You will absolutely cry

Rik Emmett from Triumph is one of Steve Perry's fav vocalists..... check out Triumph's live performances from the Us Festival.
Cheap Trick "Mandocello"
react to Gino Vannilli a great canadian singer his hit living inside myself live if possible !
My girlfriend dragged me to see JOURNEY, as I thought they weren't my style. But when I heard Steve Perry sing live, I was blown away. 40 years later, it remains one of the best vocal performances I've ever seen.
Mother Father from this performance is absolutely my favorite. Incredible vocals
Mother, Father from this same concert is an amazing vocal. Let's be honest, everything Steve sings is an amazing but that one is a track most people outside of lifelong Journey fans haven't heard and he slays it.
"Mother Father" from same concert will blow you away. Steve said it was the hardest song for him to sing.
No auto tune,no lip sync,no WAP,just pure talent.
Favorite song is “Faithfully”, but best live performance from this concert is far-and-away “Mother, Father”. Incredible!
My favorite Journey song is whichever one I just heard.
Yes, Mother Father is absolutely brilliant in this concert.
@@robertfindley921Well said! 🎶🎵🎶
Yes, he is, “the voice”! Pure natural talent and they are so amazing they sound as good live as on their albums like you said. Steve still has that voice today, love them!
Two words: "The Voice"
one take vocalist. didn't need a second one
Freddie Mercury called Steve Perry the best rock vocalist… pretty high praise
Best recommendation I can give: From the same concert, listen to Mother Father. One of the best rock vocal performances ever caught on video. Just stunning.

HOLY WORDS 👍👍👍👍

All Steve needed was a tight pair of jeans and your Aunt's favorite blouse and he was ready to roll.
It used to be that the studio helped make talented people more presentable.
Nowadays they take commericial looking types and try to make them seen talented.
There are exceptions, of course.
@@jakemaattanen Strippers with autotune...
Mother, Father live in Houston!
This entire concert is amazing!! I saw this as a teen back in 81' when it was shown on cable (which was a new thing at the time). My friend recorded on his (New thing at the time) VHS. We re-watched this concert a million times!!
¡Qué suerte! 🍀🍀🍀🍀
Mother Father from this same show greatest live vocals ever IMO!
There are no bad Journey songs but Separate Ways will always be number one in my heart and soul!
Of course Anyway you want it Live in Houston is powerful and very energetic
Hell yes more Journey. Loving, Touching, Squeezing; Lights, Faithfully, Open Arms, and many others. Yes please.
Mother, father, live
From this same concert the song Mother, Father will amaze you.
This is so awesome! No auto tune. Just pure raw talent. They did not call him "The Voice" for nothing! Love your reaction!
You NEED more Journey in your life.....this entire Houston concert is on youtube as is a Japan concert.
Journey with Steve Perry's vocals are 🔥🔥🔥
Wheel in the Sky , Faithfully, Open Arms in that order
When You Love a Woman the official video is a great song
My favorite is "I'll Be Alright Without You"
I saw this tour live in Hartford, CT, three nights in a row.
Flawless voice, he was running up and around the stage. Phenomenal.❤❤
Great song, enjoyed your reaction. Journey has a great discography, my favorite of which is Faithfully.
You have to watch the song Mother, Father from 5his same concert. What a rocker
Love my Journey! Sounds so good! Woohoo!
Please react to "Mother, Father" The live version...Escape tour '81. Incredible, incredible vocals. The best performance by Steve in my opinion. Powerful lyrics and vocals!
Oh those jeans😂 also who doesn’t love this dude?! Lol
SO great to hear someone sing along with Journey who can actually sing! Unlike so many others who try. 👍 (you know who you are!)🤣
You should check out Lights and Stay Awhile, played together Live in Japan 1980. You can hear more of Steve Perry's range
It's been said that this is the most played song in the world. Every minute of every day, this song is being played somewhere in the world.
I can believe it... so sick to death of this band... used to like them, but now it's over kill
Mother Father is amazing live. It will blow you away.

Steve Perry’s first solo single, “Oh Sherry.”
i love Journey, if i was to pick two other favourites of mine for you to react to it would be Faithfully and Open Arms
"faithfully" and "when you love a woman" are my fav Journey tracks... Steve Perry is awesome!
Pure talent, nothing more
I saw them in Dallas just a day or two after this very performance in Houston. Just an unbelievable show.
One of my favorites is "Feeling That Way". Very early Journey, 1978, when Steve Perry had recently joined the band. It was really cool watching the transition from Greg Rollie to Steve during this song.
Open Arms and Faithfully for their slow songs 👍
Lights
Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'
Who's Crying Now
Mother Father Live from this same concert
My fav is " When you love A Woman ".
The live version of “Still They ride” is insane!
Believe it’s in Tokyo.
I saw Journey in Lincoln, Nebraska in 82’ or 83’.

They are Epic live, Stone in Love is my favorite Journey song
Second the Stone in Love selection!
"wheel in the sky". Classic Journey
Steve Perry and Rik Emmett of the band Triumph, had(have?) a mutual admiration society for each other's vocal abilities. 😊
From this same tour, Stone In Love!!!
I was at this concert in Houston in 81 . I was 18 . It was great and I love watching this. It takes me back
Can't pick a favorite of theirs, they're just that damn good
Just saw a Jeans and Classics with Orchestra Kentucky two nights ago. Listened / watched this reaction to be reminded just how much better the real Journey was. And what I heard two nights ago was not bad.
Don't have to imagine. I have seen them 4 times in concert. Love there music.
Journey live 1984 was amazing
Forbes magazine said this is the most successful song of all time.
Can I imagine being at this show? Yeah, I was at this tour back in the day.
I believe this is my favorite song of theirs. Steve is definitely one of the greatest singers ever, also Journey is an iconic band. Steve is making a comeback in 2024 after a long hiatus. Im really looking forward to be hearing from him again.
Love this song
As a drummer gotta shout out the great Steve Smith on Skins… IMHO the best Journey drummer. Great reaction and review 👊🏻
I agree! Love Steve Smith
Love you Maggie, thank you for the joy you bring with such a lovely smile
The crazy thing is with the voice he possesses he is modest and nice like he doesn't realize what he was blessed with.
Send her my love.... my favorite
Faithfully is my absolute favourite ❤
I saw them in Aug, 1983 in Providence. Great concert as usual.
Steve is such a nice person as well. He lived in my area and at one point he was would sit in with local bands as a drummer and sometimes singer. We didn't know he was this level.
Send her my love.

Favorites to me are "Faithfuly" and "who's crying now"
Saw them live 1985,,,outside concert started lightly raining, Steve said if yall are not leaving, we'll play. 3 hour concert. It was awesome.
I was at this concert. One of the beat concerts I have ever been to. This concert tour was so brutal that Steve Perry went on complete vocal rest between performances. No talking at all.
that's one thing about journey and a few other bands back then but especially journey they match they're live performance just like their recording's !
Did you know, there was a Journey arcade game. It had a tape player inside that played their music along with the game.
I heard this live. 1986. Raised on Radio tour. It was better than you can imagine.
Wheel In The Sky, Lights, Stine In Love, Separate Ways
My first Journey 45 was Loving Touching Squeezing
Great song
The most fun I've ever had was with this song. I went with my daughter's high school band to New York. We went to the Stardust, and the servers sang this song. The whole school band joined in. I saw them live in Detroit in 1986 I was a Senior in high school sssssssoooooo awesome
Thanks for the request, Trixie! My favorite Journey songs are "Lights", "Lovin Touchin Squeezin", and "Anyway You Want It"!

I saw Journey live in 1979 just as they started to get big. People make fun of us boomers, but we lived the golden age of live music.
