Journey are the best. They are icons and this song is iconic. Steve Perry was not known as "The Voice" for nothing. They had no auto tune back then. It was just pure raw talent! Love your reaction!
Welcome to the reactiverse! I was at this show, (old I know) and it was incredible! There were girls crying, and screaming, and Steve got their motors running just like he did you. Another great anthem is Faithfully from this same show, he was brilliant! I noticed that you reacted to Pomoy’s The Prayer, you should check out Pentatonix’ version. They’re an a cappella band and they are incredible
Perry was a phenomenal force on stage.. We are unlikely to hear songs like this today, such a shame. At least we have the anthem's from the 1970's and 80's to sing along to.
This is a great concert there several song from it you can watch and you won't be disappointed in any of them. they are an outstanding group. They never disappoint
More from this show, Anyway You Want It, Stone In Love, Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin', Who's Crying Now to name a few. From 1983, Osaka, Japan Faithfully. I saw them in '82 &'83 great shows.
Journey is one of my favorite groups! It's hard to pick just certain songs since they have so many, and other people have pointed out the obvious ones. But I'd recommend watching their video, "Separate Way/Worlds Apart." A great high-energy song. Other bangers: "Who's Crying Now?", "Mother, Father," and "Wheel in the Sky"!
This is from the live show in Houston, Texas in 1981 You can watch the entire show on Chase Harlan's channel there is no autotune or backing track, It's all Steve Perry's wonderful voice and an equally super band. Enjoy/
Mother, Father (same concert) is an incredible vocal performance. Open Arms, Send Her My Love and Faithfully DEFINE the power ballad. Separate Ways… can’t go wrong with any of them when Steve Perry sings.
I’m from where this band generated and most of them lived around. I just saw a few months ago the bassist Ross Valerie play a local fun show with a few of his buddies - guitarist Steff Burns & Jeff Watson & drummer Jeff Campitelli During the late 70’s & 80’s I would always see Steve Perry , drummer Steve Smith & Gregg Rolie zipping around Though that’s Jonathan Cain on Keys now
If your old enough this song will take you back to a time and place! For me , I was 12yrs old camping with my cousins and brothers. Fishing, catching newts, getting way too close to bears, van sneakers and skateboards, hitting yourself with nun-chucks. And 9 kids vomiting because of my uncle's horrible cooking. Being scared by a rattle snake and chasing a bear into the woods. The 80's were fun!
Written by Steve Perry, Jonathan Cain and Neal Schon. I am a San Francisco native 🌁. I grew up seeing Steve Perry as the lead singer. Neal Schon dropped out of high school 🏫 in San Mateo. He rejected joining Eric Clapton: Carlos Santana already hired Schon. Years later, Schon and Greg Rolie left and founded Journey. Rolie retired. The Babys broke up 💔 . Jonathan Cain joined Journey. Arnel Pineda is the current lead singer. You might have reacted to him with Morissette Amon. I am also a fan of her 💘. Suggested videos 📹: 1 Steve Perry and David Foster perform I Stand Alone 2 John Waite sings Missing You 3 Bad English performs Straight to Your Heart 4 The Storm performs I've Got a Lot to Learn about Love 5 Journey with Steve Perry perform Open Arms
Steve Perry is a fan of the San Francisco baseball club 'The Giants', so much fun watching him sing "Don't Stop Believing" from his seat at the Giants baseball stadium, what a great voice. Steph - love your reaction, read a few of your comments on your Community page - you're only about 18, stop telling us you're thirty... no way!!!😅 Maybe you can do a reaction to Rod Stewart or Carlos Santana.😊 I hope you do!
One of the best songs ever written, period. David Chase, creator of "The Sopranos," knew from day one that he would pay whatever price Journey wanted to have it playing for the last scene of the iconic series.
listen to any of the journey songs with perry : they're all great but here's a few : lights.....faithfully.....mother, father.......wheel in the sky......stay awhile.......just the same way....open arms
Steve Perry is one of the greatest singers ever. He and George Michael were at the top of the heap, the best of the best mid 70s or so to mid 80s. They have many very good songs. No Auto tune also! Steve did one of the most difficult things walk and sing great only a few can achieve that. Best of success on yr channel.
Hi Steph You are such a nice young lady. Your reaction when Steve Perry started to sing was priceless. You totally bubbled over with excitement 🎉. As a musician for 60+ years, it's great to see how good music can still have a such a wonderful effect. I know you've reacted to many Led Zeppelin songs however, I don't think you have covered "Kashmir"yet. The band feels this one was their best work Thnx Steph Rock✌️😎
I miss the 80's no internet just one on one time with your girl. Had the best music. Poor poeple had cars. More babies made back then. 😊😢oh the nostalgia

You should react to other songs from this concert. Also the Tokyo concert from 1983. Journey sounds better live than in the studio and Steve Perry is the greatest rock singer of all time.
Do a Reaction to the either songs from Journey with lead Singer Steve Perry live in Houston 1981 " Stone in Love " Girl Can't Help it " Open Arm's " lights " Who's Crying Now " Mother father " Escape " Stay Awhile " Steve Perry is one of the Best if not the Best Singer in Rock History.
Well, there's only one thing that you can really say about journey............ they are awesome. A number of their other songs from this particular concert in Houston. Are out there for you to react to? And the great thing about journey is each of their songs is just as good as the one before and as the 1 that's after. Anyway, You've probably got a couple of dozen of their songs to get through and react to.
New journeys band Arne Pineda lead singer now it's but not amazing voice like the oregenal lead singer Steve perry legacy counties treasure of music perry legend forever 💗💗💗💗💗
You really can't go wrong with ANY song that Journey did, with Steve Perry as their lead singer. Arnel Pineda is good, but he's not as good as Perry, and most of the videos that you'll find will be of Arnel singing Steve's hits, anyway.
Our generation just calls him the voice. Faithfully is a great song.
every generation calls him the voice :)))
Probably 2nd to George Michael.
Journey are the best. They are icons and this song is iconic. Steve Perry was not known as "The Voice" for nothing. They had no auto tune back then. It was just pure raw talent! Love your reaction!

Faithfully by Journey is one of the most beautiful lovesongs ever, sung by a man who was truly in love.
Journey is one of my favorite groups! It's hard to pick just certain songs since they have so many, and other people have pointed out the obvious ones. Freddie Mercury was once asked "what's it feel like to be the greatest singer in rock n roll?" He replied: "I don't know. Ask Steve Perry."

Gotta listen to Journey's MOTHER FATHER and WHY CAN'T THIS NIGHT GO ON FOREVER

A lot of guys in this era could hit those high notes because of how tight the jeans were! 😂😂😂😂😊😊😊😊

"Ooh his voice is so good!" You have no idea. Do some more videos. You'll understand what I mean.
Wheel in the sky, Open Arms
Lead singers back in the day actually knew how to sing. They didn’t have autotune back then.
