I tell you what I never liked it I bought one ,,, was blown away with it and the looks grow on you now I like it , it drives well ,,, I have 1.5 Diesel goes well .. and I thought could I stick to speep limits go on a 100 mile trip and get average 100 mpg !!!!!!! im not joking with very light trottle and staying below 55 yes I got 98 mpg

My wife has a stock Nizmo RS, and we still love it
seriously considering getting one of these as the insurance is a lot cheaper compared to cars with the same sort of power. plus I like the look of them and their going to be a lot more comfortable than my current car

I totally get the torque steer, can catch you out if your not careful.
absolutely flies though once your on boost. those Recaros feel so good too. I wish they did a 4wd one in manual not just xtronic.
Just looking at your face, it's not often your not smiling, it definitely gives you a good vibe when driving it.

Always secretly liked these motors. Killin me to admit it but they quirky with no rivals as of yet.
Hated Jukes when they first came out but I accompanied someone on a test drive as they needed a new runabout... They came away hating it but I'm starting to like them. I wonder what modifications can be done to the Nismo version and if it's big in Japan. If it's big there then HKS, Blitz, etc usual players will be making bits to make them faster which is probably what I'd do...

Sister's got the standard one of these and in all honesty they tick the boxes of a sensible car... mpg is good and you don't have to remortgage your house just to get a satnav as an extra... as far as the nismo goes I can imagine it's quite fun as they are very light for a bigger car

Agree with everything you say. It’s quirky, fun and has a great spec with the Nismo badge to boot. No, it’s not a Golf GTI but neither does it have the price tag of one. All in all, a great little car, fun with teeth.
This car looks great and mainly because it looks insane - very tempted

I know of some people who do that. Buy a newer one of what they have already. But if they are leasing them. Then that’s probably why he’s on his 3rd time. Must be good for him to get a car he doesn’t own when there’s so many other options.

some people have really tuned these and got some insane power out of them.
Countryman JCW would be the rival. Owned one and was awesome with 4WD. Pretty sure they share the same engine in fact
i think the 1.6 alone in the quashqui and the juke are underpowered
Zain K juke makes 0-60 under 6 seconds , why you say it is underpowered???? Nismo juke has 215hp
never really understood the crossover idea myself, the juke in terms of interior space is similar to the Micra, hence why they're small in the back, its like the underpinnings of a Micra with a SUV body. My mate who is a mechanic tells me the juke shares an engine from the Renault Megane. I'd say it's rival was probably a Renault Captur or ford Ecosport.
guitarplayerforu yep your friend is correct , the Diesel engine is a Renault engine , for a modern Diesel engine it’s noisy and unrefined like an old Diesel engine.
We have a juke nismo rs. And love it left a seat Leon standing at the traffic lights shhh top speed 115 mph 😀

Just a heads up, Jamie. This Juke is actually a 2015 model, not a 2016 like you said. I checked on Cazana and it said it was a 2015.

The engine in the juke was in the juke before the Renault, you can get a awd flappy paddle version of the nismo

Previous to getting my nismo juke I had a Subaru Impreza. And I have to say that the Jukes sports mode, is just as fast as the Impreza. I've had my juke nismo for 4 years now, love it.
Can't watch anything above 480 because the frame rate doesn't work.

To anyone thinking of buying a juke the drivers side visibility is appalling. Masive A pillar and a huge wing mirror results in not being able to see anything on that side.

So its a car that needs a sport mode, an Eco mode and a normal driving mode, like wtf, why?!
Give us back the good old days of if you want eco you keep your foot off the fast pedal, if you want sport you put your foot down and if you want normal you just drive normally, is it really that hard?
Normal is the factory tuned daily driver, best fuel efficiency. The Sport Mode is a tune that puts full power, and peaks boost for best performance ( from stock anyways ). Eco Mode is false advertisement. It dumps gas and goes nowhere.
Tim Vega the entire thing is false advertising, I have 270bhp 1.6ltr, at 70+ she does 44+mpg, in town she does low 30's and eco, never driven that slowly but she is suppose to do 55mpg. My car has NO modes, it doesnt need them, performance, normal and economy depend on how the driver drives and not reliant on an ecu that will give you pretty much the same as a good driver can.
Are you speaking of Diesel? As those are definitely not gasoline numbers. lolAlso for the CVT, it makes a huge difference, as it controls the simulated gear ratios. There are other factors as well, the onboard ECU's will change depending. Sport mode on a CVT also provides a more sporty feel, with replicated gear shifts, and such as well. But regardless of CVT AWD or MT FWD, the following is an example.This is just an example: If your car has 13PSI as example, if you floor it, you have 13PSI, if you feather it, you have 13PSI. It does not change without a boost controller. With more control, as example, it can adjust those numbers to improve fuel efficiency. So in Normal, it would have 13 PSI, but in Sport it would have 16PSI. Again, this is an example where the computer can make a difference.
So essentially, think of Normal/Sport as different tunes. One is tuned more for higher BHP (the one advertised), and one is tuned more for MPG ( normal for fuel efficiency). Eco is total BS. I think I got like 7MPG with ECO... the minute you hit a hill, you are rolling backwards as it has no power to move up the hill.

Own one, a black RS 2014 (64MY) with those optional bucket seats (£1800 option!). The seats are nice as are the touches in cabin. It gives Juke semi practicality with a touch of power. It does grip really good with the mechanical LSD and although the power is fun in sport mode, I don't like how the steering changes to light when you select it. Brakes are decently sized. what's missing in the RS is the lack of occasion, it fairly quiet when driving and accelerating. The car is not going to be a keeper, it's an ex demo car bought on a whim, but it's annoying downsides outweigh the good stuff.
Maybe the turbo RDX would be in the same league?

I'm extremely late but there's kits to make around 400hp. That's a lot of power in a car that weighs less than 3000lbs

Test drove one a couple of years back had it for half a day for the price you can get one 2nd hand it was a fun car,torque steer is there when you push it but whats wrong with that?i think fighting torque steer is part of the fun of a powerful car,if your older like me and want a higher ride that's good value and fun too and is well kitted out it's a useful frog on wheels,i chose and owned a Fiesta ST ECO over this though but if i wanted a small crossover taller car i could live with the ugly duckling jokes but this car can make you smile.

A few bolt on parts, bigger turbo, tune, and guys in the US have hit 350whp. For a car this light, that's plenty. As soon as my warranty expires, I'll be messing under the hood.

Miss Viking: Bought a used 2014 Juke Nismo RS here in USA and love it. But they are outnumbered by the non-turbo versions and very rare. I tested them; the RS is an altogether different fish.

The Juke is terrible in anything other than sport mode. I got one last year and in Eco Mode and Normal mode it's so sluggish and slow but when you put it in sport mode it's a totally different car.

MrGuvEuroman and Nissans of that era weren't any uglier than nowadays?? boxes on wheels back then, atleast now they are some of the best looking cars on the market, and the spec levels compared to the rivals is beyond belief.
