"I’ve been born and raised in Charlotte, and I’ve never felt this way ’til now," said Zianna Oliphant. "And I can’t stand how we’re treated. It’s a shame that our fathers and mothers are killed, and we can’t even see them anymore. It’s a shame that we have to go to the graveyard and bury them. And we have tears, and we shouldn’t have tears. We need our fathers and mothers to be by our side."

How pathetic. You can hear this child's handlers (aka brainwashers) making demands in the background. This child has clearly been coached and manipulated by adults around her. So sad that.
That was probably her mother, who is also scared of losing a loved one to police brutality.
what I saw was a child with an opinion who wanted to speak and who at a point became overwhelmed with her emotions and received encouragement from people the camera did not show. I got no sense at all that she was forced.

Who does this little girl know, and what are her experiences? She was born and raised in Charlottesville and is 9 years old. Chances are, she knows no one outside of her community. Where is she getting the lessons that she is talking about? Is she experiencing them, or being told that's how it is? All I'm saying is, a 9 year old only knows their parents and family. A 9 year old gets their beliefs and impressions of the world from those immediately around them all the time, and is most likely to only communicate with those of their immediate community.

Meta Self That may be true, but that is not what the discussion is about. Thug crime is an entirely different problem, which doesn't mean it doesn't need fixing. But what we're talking about here is demonstrable systemic bias to racist actions taken by a government entity. There's an entire group of people who now have to fear for their lives from both thugs AND the police, and that is terrible. Personally I'd say we need to get rid of the state-sponsored killings first, since those are particularly embarrassing for the country as well as plain awful.
