I live about 45 minutes north of Denver and make regular pilgrimages to Twist & Shout and Wax Trax. I had never heard of Eagle Valley Music but am making the trip tomorrow after watching your video. Thanks for the great post!
I’m a little late but I just saw this video. It’s awesome you visited here in Colorado. Wax Trax and Twist are great stores but there’s some other smaller ones around. My go to place is called Black and Read in Arvada. There’s two of them but you want the main store in Arvada. So many gems to be found! Ryan Adams would always stop by there before his shows in Colorado. I’ll never forget showing up before a red rocks show and seeing his tour bus parked sideways in the middle of the parking lot. He signed my record, it was awesome! I’ve also met and talked to Jello Biafra there a few times. He’s kind of a regular actually. If you’re ever in Colorado again I can’t recommend this place enough! It’s probably only about a half hour or so of a drive from red rocks. It’ll seem a little unorganized or messy but you’ll never walk away from that place without finding something you didn’t know you wanted.
Wow, I had no idea you’ve been to Denver and checked out a few of our record stores! Both sites in the city are on my usual digging sites! Red Rocks is so AMAZING! Glad you caught a show there!!! ❤️🎶❤️
Twist and Shout!!! I visited Denver in May and I have can't stop thinking about that place. I was only there three days and went back twice haha such a good spot
I hit both Twist and Shout and WaxTrax when I was in Denver a few years ago. Twist & Shout is almost too big and you could be in there for days lol. Loved WaxTrax 🤘
So happy to see you had a nice Colorado trip. I live ten minutes from Red Rocks and go to as many shows there as I can. Never a bad night of music at Red Rocks. I had never even heard of Eagle Valley Music, so thanks so much for the great tip.
Matt thanks for sharing all these great experiences at vinyl stores. Best wishes from Brazil, we don't have #RSD down here so we watch the videos with attention. I've even made a playlist from the albums you've shown here. Not enough ways to thank you.
Come to Minneapolis!! The Electric Fetus is an iconic record store that has a ton of cool stuff, I go there all the time. While you're here, you should also check out Solid State and Cheapo- those ones are great as well.
Loved that you picked up Barrie - I got the VMP release and loved it. If you're ever in Cardiff, UK, let me know as the world's oldest record store is there (Spillers) and it's my local.
Salt Lake City. Randy's Records. Open since 1978. Best used record shop I know. They are picky about their intake. They take the time to rate most of their used records based on condition and quality of sound. Not a large space, but quality over quantity.
Glad you were able to visit good ol Colorado. You didn’t visit Recollect Records though. I know they don’t have a ton of what your into, but they have a good rap/hip hop section. I like the store because it’s got a good used jazz section and cheap record section. I believe their focus is soul, r&b, and funk.
You mentioned that Eagle Valley Music is worth a trip just to go visit- sounds like a 3 star Michelin restaurant. You should come up with a record store rating system. 1, 2, or 3 LPs haha
1:43 it's funny I just recently picked up that Semi.Official LP for $8 at my local record store but I got for completely different reasons, none of which have anything to do w/ Metal Face or DJ Abilities.
I find Twist & Shout difficult to dig. Not a fan of how they organize and often walk out with very little. I don’t live in Denver but there a few times a year. Wax Trax is my store because they have good classic used 80,s and not a lot of new used, which is not my thing. Too many hipsters on Crosleys playing a record a few times and ruining it so I avoid new used crap. After this video all the good stuff will be gone from the Vail store so thanks for ruining it for views lol - just kidding
Do you know of a cool area with lots of good record stores that I should make a video at? Drop a comment below, maybe I'll go next year :)
If you come to Provo Utah there are two pretty good stores. 3 hive record lounge and platinum memorabilia.
Memphis .
Where I’m from
*coughDarksideRecordscough*
The greater Orlando area has a surprising amount of record stores, I wouldn't say all of them are amazing but there are a few interesting ones

they had everywhere at the end of time!! legends work in twist and shout man👍

If you come back to Denver, be sure to go to Recollect Records as well. Well worth the visit!
Wax Trax is my go to store. It’s good to see it getting appreciated.
Thanks Matt, we really enjoy your videos of your visits to various record stores. Never gets old!🎧❤️🔥
Wow, I had no idea you’ve been to Denver and checked out a few of our record stores! Both sites in the city are on my usual digging sites! Red Rocks is so AMAZING! Glad you caught a show there!!! ❤️🎶❤️

Whoaa that Caretaker record at 1:08 would’ve gone into my bag right away without a doubt
In “dance” no less lol
Congrats. Love to see record stores. Thanks for sharing.
I love seeing road trip videos. Gives me a chance to see other record stores. 😃
Twist and Shout!!! I visited Denver in May and I have can't stop thinking about that place. I was only there three days and went back twice haha such a good spot
Love these vinyl hunt videos. Storing these shops away in my knowledge for any possible trips to Denver!
Glad you stopped by.
Thanks for letting me film!
As a Coloradan my favorite stores are Twist & Shout Denver, Bogey's West, and Angelo's CDs & More. Sadly I have not been to Wax Stax yet.
Wax Trax is still there? I used to haunt them in the 1980's. Good for them.
Slept on in the video: Recollect Records. An amazing Denver dig, well worth a visit.
Can’t believe that cudi album, you’re unbelievably lucky! Wish I can add that to my collection one day
Word! 350 euro on Discogs for a NM copy...

I hit both Twist and Shout and WaxTrax when I was in Denver a few years ago. Twist & Shout is almost too big and you could be in there for days lol. Loved WaxTrax 🤘

Yeah I hope to go back for a show once a year.
WZRD is the ultimate Kid Cudi grail! that’s an awesome come up right there. i just need to find myself another copy.
That Barrie record is one of my favorites of the year so far. Brightened up my summer
So underrated, right?
And my wantlist keeps getting bigger... more cool stuff to discover! I never heard of Dead by Sunrise before, I will check it out. Great video!
I would love to go to that wonderful honey hole you discovered. RSD records from 2009 still in shrink? Wow!
Great Job on the record store tour. Tone Scott did one too! I encourage you to check it out! Trish
Looks like I need to go to Denver now, haha! Some solid grabs man! Great video as always man!

I saw VW in SLCat the complex. This tour has been so good
They're really on fire.

Oooh that's a cool video idea. One day.

I'd love to come check it out.
Good store
I'm driving to twist and shout as I am watching this coincidently enough. They are expensive but let's go see what we can find
Amazing record store check out Leechpit next time you’re there
I love Colorado!
I need that WZRD!
More record store videos⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
In 2020 for sure.
I had great luck this weak, I won a Raconteurs Help Us Stranger album signed by the whole band!!! Including Jack White!!!
holy crap that's a come up!
Glad you were able to visit good ol Colorado. You didn’t visit Recollect Records though. I know they don’t have a ton of what your into, but they have a good rap/hip hop section. It was on the list, just ran out of time. Next time!!

This is a cool idea if I do more of these.
I am actually more impressed with their cassette collection. That was massive.
If your Michigan go to Weirdsville records, third man records, melodies and memories, and Dearborn music
What was that second album you found in Colorado called Barry’s something?
Jeeeeeeeezus, that WZRD is INSANE!
Didnt even go to RECOLLECT
I've mentioned them before the wounded funk duo Tuxedo has MF doom featured on their latest album Tuxedo III.
Sick threads bro.
Thanks, I'm a real fashion icon

Your hood ??? Lol!!
Your hood ??? Lol!!!

Hmm?
You're like a crow that collects shiny objects, except you collect colored vinyl.
I take that as a compliment

modern used records, and using the word grailz a lot. Geez. Also the term, classic records, geez.
