Hey folks, this is a quick run through of the heritage walk shopping mall in siem reap. Easily the most modern mall in town, and after a couple of lean years in Siem Reap you can see a few empty spaces here and there.

Hey Ed! Cheers mate! This place is massive by SR standards...but pretty small when comparing it to the AEON ones in PP! However yeah it would be pretty unusual for you to see one these days out where you are!
I love the signs at the entrance - along with no skateboards is no pistols!
Classic isn't it! I wonder how many people turn themselves away once seeing that sign and remembering they left their Glock in their backpack...

As you say a lot has changed in SR , the roads especially seem better
I only spent time in SR and then Vietnam but i absolutely intend to explore the entire country - Modulkiri sounds good

G'day Simon - Cheers mate glad you enjoyed the video! Must admit SR was pretty quiet overall on that trip (May 2022) so hopefully there is a bit more of a buzz around the place these days.
Agree the security guards weren't guarding much were they haha!
Mondulkiri and up the north east of the country is beautiful - if you can get out there soon that would be amazing (before they cut down all the trees...)
G'day mate , That mall wasn't there the last time I was there but as usual many same same empty shops but alas I was disappointed there was no Kermie burger 😢😢 , oh well atleast I'll feel like a newbie tourist one day , 😅😅😅 . Oh well ..

Ah .... found your original post. Not much has changed since you visited. Guess I was peeved to find no supermarket (I thought Lucky Mall closed because of new competition) and had to walk down to Angkor Market......
Yeah that is annoying not having the supermarket in there however there are now 3 within a 5 min walk of that location. Will be interesting to see how it all develops - big buildings like that need tenants and those tenants need business!
Watched your just posted hood cruise. Right now, checking out Angkor Mkt on Sivutha. - we live on Sivutha so it's closer than the one on NR6
Ahh nice - I call Sivutha the min drag - the road is a gateway to the guts of SR. Great spot you have i reckon! There are a few decent supermarkets along there - lots of great choice!
@MarcsMildlyInteresting Yes, I agree. I was a bit nervous about Cook Chook but the paving of the roads has really opened the area up. Kim and I can walk into town in 30mins . We are just before Street 30.
Anyway, the big beer question is....how do you cash in the Krud and Cambodia pull rings - especially the cash prizes? I've heard it said that you catch the brewery delivery guy - but yeah, that's easy to say....
You should have got the security guard to rough you up for a photo then used it as a thumbnail 😂

I love it how they show gang signs then show off the cleaning equipment. that's gangster! Maybe they believe the K stands for "Kleaning"

G'day Peter! Yeah if it's not your cup of tea that's all good. At least now you know! The supermarket and pharmacy (when open) are reasonable if in the area - otherwise yeah looks like a few tenants had moved out. Cheers mate!
