Idk exactly what he did, but you see the button on top right on the dashboard? Above the engine meter. Press that, it should cycle through several settings.
I would not recommend synthetic oil for these older trucks. I bought the oil for my previous oil change and after my mechanic did the oil change, he mentioned to me that synthetic oil is much thinner than conventional oil. He warned me that it can leak because these older engines aren't designed for it. He was correct. My oil got pretty low and had to add a couple quarts. I've had the truck since it was brand new and in 16 years, i never had my oil go low using conventional oil. I also believe that the slight knocking that my engine developed was due to synthetic oil. I'm about to change oil today and going back to conventional. I will update but I am fully expecting the knocking noise to go away. Also...i have read comments elsewhere from people who said their engines were knocking after using synthetic oil. So don't use it guys! Not for these older engines.
Mine has had synthetic in it since break in and there’s zero leak issue and never had any noises out of ordinary. Maybe it’s just her time. She’s 20 yrs old . Might need rings .

The gauge on the dash they have little actuators I think that's what they're called that I always go bad on those Chevys so like it could be for the speedometer or whatever the gauge cluster so notorious for having issues and then you can send it off to somebody or do it yourself so that's why it's not reading correctly or gauge is working at all

I don't know why the camera isn't put on a tripod???? As a viewer with the repeated movement of the camera detracts from the subject matter. The tight close up shots that follow ever step along the way. Use the tripod.

Shouldn't any oil filter be tighten 1/4 turn past firm? Also, no offense, you need to keep a cleaner project...oil all over filter it looked for instance. Otherwise pretty ok vid.
Concentrate on what you're doing...You ruined your video, yacking..plus you keep pulling the oil catching pan away from the oil...
