I’ve got an ‘06 k1500. Just hit 300k miles. It leaks a bit of oil into the combustion chamber, I believe it’s leaking down the valve stem. I have to put a quart in about every 300-500 miles. It’ll shoot a good size amount of blue smoke out on startup but after about 15-20 seconds it clears. The vacuum accumulator and master cylinder are going out but other than that it’s a solid ass truck. Been beat to hell and still going strong. Gonna be a sad day when she goes

I did it on the driver side but I think it would have been easier on the passenger because you might be able to get more leverage.

Question? Did you have to remove the bottom dirt/splash guards under the engine & transmission?
On this truck it doesn’t have one, but on some vehicles you have too.
