    I love using the seaweed to eat sushi bowls. It's also a fun way to eat tuna salad, like making a tiny wrap.

      Maybe it's just the oil, but I have chronic constipation from health issues and the seaweed gets things moving like nobody's business 😅

      Yess or I cut it up and use it as a topping on a rice bowl. There’s also a way to make salmon with tofu

    I love the Trader Joes Dark Chocolate PB Cups. To me personally, they are so much more satisfying and decadent than regular Reese's.

      I agree and I find the reeces are too sweet for me now

    Enjoyed this video very much. It's good to look at all the ways we get satisfaction from our food choices without demonizing any aspect of them. Just looking for balance. I love those seaweed snacks but chose to stop buying them because there is so much plastic packaging in such a small amount of food. I can't justify the waste. Just another way to look at food choices.

      @regan7541 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      i felt the same way!! i started buying the big nori sheets (for like sushi/bibimbap) because i can get a small pack’s worth from one sheet!! i still feel bad about the plastic waste but there’s not many ways to avoid it:(

    • @ltellis63
      @ltellis63 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@regan7541, I think all we can do is minimize our impact and do better when we can. We can't eliminate all plastic waste right now. Better is better.

    Can you please do the seed oil inflammation video?! I feel like I’m having way too many conversations with family and friends who have jumped on the “oil is evil” bandwagon and I am exhausted!

    The thing I like about the trader joe's dark chocolate peanut butter cups, is that the dark chocolate helps stop it from being too sweet. The peanut butter adds the nice fattiness, the sugars, all of it. It helps balance out the bite of the dark chocolate, without having the extra sugar.
    Not that extra sugar is bad, I just find too much sugar bothersome and unsatisfying.
    Edit: another note/reason why I like it that I realized a while later is that the qualities of the peanut butter give it a more semisweet feel than dark chocolate.

    I used to devour those plantain chips in college! I thought they were such a good mix of sweet and salty. Of course diet culture rules made me think they were super bad for me, so I stopped buying them. You've inspired me to maybe go get some now bc what the heck, they're delicious 😅

    • @ColleenChristensen

      They are a fun product! I think they were kinda more like a cracker vs chip? Like a blank canvas for a dip or when you want crunch!

    This video was terrific--my personal favorites from TJ's are the dried mangoes & dark chocolate PB cups. Plantain chips are great with ceviche. Yum!!

    I LOVE the dark chocolate peanut butter cups. I usually keep the bigger container around and call them my “emergency cups” for when I have a sugar craving. 😂 I also like the plantain chips a lot because I usually find regular potato chips too salty/oily for my taste.

    loved it! please do more grocery product reviews!:) also, highly recommend tj's smoked eggplant hummus and tomato basil hummus (best - looove adding it as a sauce in tacos or in marinara sauce for pasta, but also use it as a salad dressing!!!

    Loved the video, thank you! I’m a really big fan of the PB&J bars and also the ABC bars at Trader Joe’s, I really recommend them the next time you decide to visit! The PB&J ones are, of course, peanut butter and jelly in oat bars, and the ABC ones are almond butter and cocoa which is suuuch a delicious combination. Really good cereal bars for whenever you’re on the go

    I like your term “soul nourishing”. Next time I eat hopefully I will stop and ask myself “what nourishment does this provide?” If it is soul nourishment maybe it will force me to stop and think if I am lacking something else other than the food I am reaching for. Maybe it’s boredom or stress or something that I am not addressing that is forcing me to reach out for the food.

    I don’t get plantain chips from Trader Joe’s but I get them from Saraga, an international grocery store. I don’t think they’re at all salty and are good if you want a crunchy sweet plantain snack! In all honestly, we call them banana chips cause plantains are like bananas but for cooking, at least that’s what my mom told me

    My autistic mind doesn't get the concept or context of eating a snack. So when people say you have to eat snacks, I am confused and think: what do they mean? I literally don't know what to do with candy, chocolate and cookies..and instinctively know how and when to eat it..for me it feels weird and as a interruption of my day.. does a human really needs snacks? And what is good way to get yourself to eating them if your mind hasn't got a clue😅? And tips?

    • @ColleenChristensen
      @ColleenChristensen  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      You by no means HAVE to snack throughout the day. Just giving yourself permission to eat if you are hungry, whether it's a meal time or not is part of intuitive eating. A snack can be any type of food that you are hungry for at that moment. If you don't feel like snacking and would rather stick to regular meal times that is great too! Just do what feels good to you and makes you happy!❤

    • @eb9436
      @eb9436 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      However it is recommended to eat every 2-3 hours MINIMUM (OFC. You can eat like 10 minutes after a meal too! No limit to how early 😊).

    • @eb9436
      @eb9436 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      A good example is: breakfast, snack, lunch (dessert too!), snack, dinner (dessert!), snack.

      Hey there! You absolutely can join without FB. There bulk of the material within the membership site will help you on your IE journey. FB is a good way to get/give encourgment and support from/to other members. If you wanted to be part of the FB group you can create an account strictly for that but it is not necessary. Hope this helps!❤
