When I was a kid my Dad went in the backyard with a hacksaw, grinder, some hinges and other assorted hardware and a 50 gallon oil drum. A few hours later he was barbecuing chicken and grilling hamburgers. Over the years his oil drum grill was the main attraction at a lot of family get togethers. Dave, if my Dad was alive today he'd be your biggest fan.
If I ever got stuck in the woods I would want to be with you and Brook so I know I would survive. I find both of your channels relaxing and a chance to learn something. You are both so knowledgeable about the wilderness so thanks for sharing it.
Ok, now that's pretty slick. I LOVE the height of it. I'm a tall guy myself, and get so sick of having to bend over to do everything. I believe I'm going to make something like this myself.
Awesome video! Yes indeed 1 man’s junk is another man’s treasure, I can’t agree more. Love watching you and Brooke do great things with the new property.❤❤
Great Video Dave! I look forward to your videos all the time! Glad the weather is nice and you will be able to post more updates! Be radical and get outside are my favorite ends to all the videos!
Dave, that was some recycled fuel tank/ cooking stove! I like the height and your creative first meal off of it! Keep on narrating and musically enhancing your episodes. I love your guitar accompaniment. Very soothing and spot on.
Awesome video, that was so cool. And a great reminder for anyone welding or grinding on a propane tank to make a BBQ- it may be your last. Definitely need to get the fuel out of all those pores in the steel.
Super nice big cooking surface, it's always a good feeling to be able to repurpose an item, especially something that will see alot of use, great job Dave, till next time stay well :)
So great seeing you Dave, been tending to my hubby and RSV for four weeks, it’s great just hanging with you and watching what you’re up to. So good to just relax and watch. Tx Dave for taking us along, very relaxing!❤❤❤❤
Your resourcefulness is something we don’t see much of these days. Everything that loses its face value purpose is seen as trash and thrown to waste. I was raised to see use in practically everything so this makes me happy. Keep teaching these valuable lessons brother!
This is probably one of the best ideas and best videos iv seen yet on TH-cam , imagine how much a cooking log burner would have cost to buy that size and yet you made one at virtually no cost other than your time and it looks way cooler than something shop bought 😊😊😊😊
Wow the flames coming out that old fuel tank where pretty radical. Multifunctional 1 man's junk is another man's treasure Nothing better than multipurpose
I went to Costa Rica with Brooke and we made hand-made tortillas on similar kind of flat big top. That farm made the best home grown and fresh hand ground coffee ive ever put to my lips. Tell Brooke to bring the tortilla dough and salsa her next trip up to the UP cabin. Gotta break that in properly on a Taco Tuesday. Eveyday is taco Tuesday in my house. Maybe see what porcupine tacos taste like. 😂 salsa and sour cream, guac...probably all tastes good!
I'm a new subscriber. Love the flow of the video. Children learning by example and they seem to enjoy it all. Thanks so much for sharing with us. I'm from Central Oklahoma
Another Amazing video. Can't Thank You enough for bringing us along. It's incredible how you make things work out and so useful. I'm always looking out for your videos. Blessings from above.
That was so cool! I love the new stove, and I love it even more because it just came with the property. And, I admit, it was great fun watching it burn out. Thanks,Dave!
Glad you burned off the fuel and fumes. One neighbor boy back home, forty some years ago was not so fortunate: he didn’t do that cutting a barrel for a hog waterer and he died from the explosion. So glad you educated people what to do
Another AWESOME video!! You amaze me! Can't wait to see the cabin refurbishment project. I'm always so happy when you put a video out (and Brooke, too!)
This was a perfect ending to my day. Dropped on by You Tube, and there was Dave Whipple, working, wisecracking, and inventing. Love you and your wife, and your endless wisdom and good right living. Thanks, Dave!
Great reuse! When we moved to our farm we found an old grill. A pack rat had even moved in! We took it to a car wash and cleaned it up and back home we sanded and painted with high heat stove paint. Got a new piece of glass, took out the propane fixtures and put in a cover for the bottom and we had a great grill! Lol the wood on the handles and side boards are growing lichen now but it's been 18 years worth of great steaks! Lol And only really cost us a couple of dollars to restore. I guess I could replace the wood side boards and handle and maybe get another 18 years out of it!!😂
That was simply amazing how you could take something that was for something else and make it into something useful that you can use again. Well done Dave
Dave has sooo many skills but I wasn't prepared for a three-egg flip!
I think he surprised himself on that one
Right on 😀
It was epic! 🥚 🥚 🥚
Your ingenuity never ceases to entertain and inspire me.🎉
@alivewithhemp4989 , My thoughts exactly. Dave, another awesome video.
Seriously I envy the guy he’s me. Times 100
Dave, the only words missing when you were burning the tank are, "Hold my beer, hey, Y'all, watch this." Always look forward to your videos.

Great to see some uploads around the abandoned cabin.
It's going to be cool to see Dave fix up his cabin.

thanks
At 2:25 we were all wondering: Is this guy going to blow himself up? Nice build. I really like the door setup.
Let's get cooking.
Can't take the boy out of the man. 😂 Building toys and fire, what could be better?
Those fire shots are EPIC!
I love the idea to repurpose the old fuel tank.
I love what he did and with 2 upgrades it could even be used as a heating stove.
Boys. Pyrotechnics. Fire-belching fuel tank cooktop. I'm here for it!
Ok, now that's pretty slick. I LOVE the height of it. I'm a tall guy myself, and get so sick of having to bend over to do everything. I believe I'm going to make something like this myself.
Made me feel like a kid again watching that thing on the fire.
Love how you “repurposed” that old fuel tank. Thanks for showing all the steps you took.
I love how u take things that might have been thrown away and turn them into something useful.
Great stuff. Built my own man cave because of this channel. 👍🇬🇧👍
Amazing what happens when you use what you have , and make what you need ! The possibilities are endless !
Thank you for bringing us along !
Awesome video! Yes indeed 1 man’s junk is another man’s treasure, I can’t agree more. Love watching you and Brooke do great things with the new property.❤❤
I knew you couldn't resist making it into a BBQ stove !! Awsome!!
A great idea for a wonderful and so useful idea. There's just nothing like being able to cook food. Thanks
Whipples all release videos on the same day...this is good.
Thank you for the heads up! TH-cam doesn't always let me know when Mark, Mick, and Brook post!
Who are the Whipples?
Oh he’s a Whipple lol Are there more of them with other channels? Thx.
@sunshine2528 oh, and Dave's brother is Blackspruce. So there's 4 whipple channels, all very interesting
@@PeaceWorkIIThere is now a fifth: @bellewhipple Belle's channel for her new coffee shop! ☕
Great Video Dave! I look forward to your videos all the time! Glad the weather is nice and you will be able to post more updates! Be radical and get outside are my favorite ends to all the videos!
I love all your videos! Your narration is great. Thanks for sharing the outdoors with us!
IT WAS NEAT WATCHING THAT, BIG BOY FUEL TANK, TORCHING ON THE FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!! COOL IDEA FOR A OUTDOORS COOKING STOVE!! Do take care. Fl,
I love your ingenuity for designing useful things out of scrap. Great video.
Dave, that was some recycled fuel tank/ cooking stove! I like the height and your creative first meal off of it! Keep on narrating and musically enhancing your episodes. I love your guitar accompaniment. Very soothing and spot on.
I really like your dip stick!
Brilliant Dave! I could almost smell the brats and coffee!
Awesome video, that was so cool. And a great reminder for anyone welding or grinding on a propane tank to make a BBQ- it may be your last. Definitely need to get the fuel out of all those pores in the steel.
MAN that made me hungry!! 😂 Good Work!!! Loved the "fanfare" and fireworks in prep of your new stove!!
Awesome transformation of the old tank…. Simple, functional and smart!… nice work Dave!
You make things look easy.......the mark of someone who's good at what they do! Thanks for your videos!
Oh, let's not forget that 3 egg flip! Woo-hoo! 👏
Solid repurposing
I enjoy wholesome outdoor cooking!
Cool! It's always fun to see an old fashioned Repurpose.
Continuing your ability to take the mundane and transform it into something so useful is just amazing Dave, stupendous.
Dave, this was the best transformation! Love your ingenuity 🔥🔥🔥 good lookin breakfast too.. very radical indeed.
Great re-cycle on that tank, no welding required.. should last longer than you'll need it.
Have a great day
Nice build. Very satisfying to re-purpose something into a useful thing from scratch.
Cheers to the funky outdoor kitchen edition 🤙
I don't think there is anything you can't do...!!! So cool! Yet hot!
Loved this style video from you.
AND nice to see another man cook brats with the correct "bark" as I call it. 😊
Dave you and Brooke are pure geniuses!! God bless your family!!
Super nice big cooking surface, it's always a good feeling to be able to repurpose an item, especially something that will see alot of use, great job Dave, till next time stay well :)
Wholly smokes. What a display of fire! That was nuts. Certainly good times
Dang, that was the craziest burn I've ever seen! Amazing job on that stove, Dave! 🙂
I laughed every time that fire shot up again. I kept thinking it was done for sure. Thanks for sharing

Way to go! Love it!!
I love this video! Such a great repurposing of something that might otherwise go into a landfill. Seeing how you did it all was great.
Thanks Dave...you made my day...had a good chuckle watching you make your stove...brilliant 😂
Wow 3 Whipples in 1 day and your daughter yesterday. What great weekend!
You are just Amazing. 😊

You should collect those tanks, make outdoor kitchen stoves out of them and sell them.. how cool is that.. loved the precision latch😂
Such a great idea I’ll bet you’ll get a lot of use out of that especially when you start renovating the cabin.loved the video keep them coming Dave😊☮️
Hi Dave, Be careful. Your life and your health are your most important asset. Take care and stay safe. All the best to you and yours. Roland

That was so cool! I love the new stove, and I love it even more because it just came with the property. And, I admit, it was great fun watching it burn out. Thanks,Dave!
That was great! It makes me wish I had an old tank to turn into a cookstove!
This video is a win if for no other reason than the cool fireworks! That was nice.
edit to add, putting it on the fire definitely burned off all of the residues, too. Excellent project, Sir.
Glad you burned off the fuel and fumes. One neighbor boy back home, forty some years ago was not so fortunate: he didn’t do that cutting a barrel for a hog waterer and he died from the explosion. So glad you educated people what to do
oh ! Sorry to hear that
Handy man you are, I’ve watched 3 videos in last 24 hours from Father Mother Son. So enjoyed them all 😊
You missed daughter, Belle; she's opening a coffee shop! Part 1 just dropped a couple of days ago ... Belle Whipple is name of the channel.
Wow that burned pretty long for not much fuel left in there. Another awesome creation from a Whipple member. 👍🙋
Another AWESOME video!! You amaze me! Can't wait to see the cabin refurbishment project. I'm always so happy when you put a video out (and Brooke, too!)
Thanks Dave I got a good giggle out of the tank on the fire 🥳🥳🥳🥳
This was a perfect ending to my day. Dropped on by You Tube, and there was Dave Whipple, working, wisecracking, and inventing. Love you and your wife, and your endless wisdom and good right living. Thanks, Dave!
I wish I had placed like yours. That would be great. I like the idea of turning the fuel tank into a stove.👍
Great use of that fuel cell. Fun watching it burn out. Thanks David.
Also, kind of amazed that valve worked.
Great reuse! When we moved to our farm we found an old grill. A pack rat had even moved in! We took it to a car wash and cleaned it up and back home we sanded and painted with high heat stove paint. Marvelous! Just loved the door and latch adjustment. Dave, you crack me up. I enjoy your witty quips during the videos.
😂
That was simply amazing how you could take something that was for something else and make it into something useful that you can use again.
Well done Dave
I grew up with creativity around me, like you have and I never tire of it. 👍🏻
Always enjoy watching you and all your projects.
Great job and loved the video 😘👍🏻💕
