Dave I’m sure everyone’s been telling you, you have a great voice for storytelling. Watching and listening to you narrate completing even the most simplest of projects is very relaxing and satisfying.
Love seeing the sea lions. Nice video. If you and Brooke are ever in the UP OF northern Michigan specifically Stignace, stop by my brothers place and help them get their wood stove going for the winter season, they could use the help and I believe you and Brooke would be great people to do that. N5097 Mackinac trail StIgnace MI , 49781. They’re both musicians too so you could jam. And they love food like Brooke. Anyway this is a real invite; so if you’re ever driving by there stop by and say hello!! Plus my one brothers dream is to go to Alaska someday. Thanx for the great videos.
Dave because of you, I’m halfway through my tiny shed (house?) build. It is awesome, and way more satisfying to get your hands dirty. Thank you for the inspiration, and may God continue to bless you and the family…
I thought I knew what it took, but then I saw this guy doing it the easy way in many ways. I almost inevitably learn something useful with every video drop.
Love love love the whole family scene! Mickey is adorable! Love how easy you make building cabins look. It is nice to see y’all chilling out before the snows set in. Give Brooke a hug!
Hello from Oklahoma! Good Video! We are still in the 90's with really dry conditions "drought." Looks like I'll be deer hunting in shorts again this year for a little while anyway. Nice to see all Y'all do. Thanks again! God Bless!
Thanks Dave for the seasonal Alaska fall tour! Your catching up with Mick and guitar strumming was my favorite part of this video! Dale sure made one heck of a door stop!
Dale is such the perfect name. Reminds me of my late friend, loved fishing (in MI, FL and in Alaska) and always hung around the best spots. He always knew where the fish would be. He also had an epic mustache for many years. ❤️
Always a pleasure to watch your videos Dave! Great to see father and son together enjoying the sites and wildlife! God bless you and yours!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for your down to earthness!! You have helped me with so many building projects that I didn't know how i was going to accomplish alone, but I did it because of your common sense building tips. Thanks again. God bless!!
Like most of your other viewers have said, your videos are very therapeutic. They have a "This Old House" with Bob Vila feel to them and I didn’t realize how much I need that kind of therapy in my life.
Dave, I watched you hoist those logs over your shoulder on that cabin build, it was impressive. Concrete work during the day, that's testing some limits. Love your videos, nice work.
I really enjoyed seeing you and Mick in this video. You have 2 wonderful children. You and Brooke are truly blessed. Thanks for sharing this time with us.😊😊😊. Landing came out super too.😊
That was so awesome thanks for letting us tag along. Mick has grown into a fine young man. Love the pole with camera idea. That was brilliant. Thanks ♥️👍😏
Hey Dave, this was fun! Your breakfast meats always look awesome ☕🍳 greasy protein rules! That unholy bunker could be a storage shed, or art studio..? Crunchy floors and all 😂.. love the little projects at a time, gotta avoid burnouts! God bless you & yours!
Greetings from Arkansas Dave … watching your awesome videos reminds me when I Lived in AK .. Houston / Anchor point / wasilla // can’t say how much I’ve learned from vids .. haha can’t imagine what it was like to build that log cabin ( whew) .. ((;
Glad you found the time to,spend some time in your favorite season in Alaska. Plus spending time with Nik. Enjoyed your road trip, sure beautiful views. Plus new step (landing)..😊
Dave, I so enjoyed this video! So interesting ! Time with your son, a warm campfire, little critters, good food cookin', hunting, building, rejection, inclusion and cozy times all around. God bless you and All the family
Wonderful scenery. I have been fascinated with Alaska for many years living in South Africa it's a new experience watching videos about Alaska. Thank you for sharing your stories.
12:10 Best way to start a campfire, in my opinion!! Although when the fire "whooofs", sometimes it makes me jump and screech like a little girl!! What an awesome amount of Alaska scenery in the video! Love it!!
Similar Autumn colours to my Northern Ontario property. My Lookout is a couple of hundred feet above the surrounding area, which makes for great views. Animals love its location, too, and a pack of Eastern wolves has started frequenting it. Very pleasant and peaceful, especially in the Autumn. Enjoyable video.👍
What a gorgeous property you have sir. Thanks again for a great well narrated video as always . Puts me in a better mind set everytime I watch , just existing feels better . Nowadays that's key.
You crack me up! I was in Valdez and had so much fun watching the sea lions catch salmon! I left just a few weeks ago and the autumn ground cover landscape was amazing.
Dave, I could sit and listen to you, talk about any subject. Your approach to life, simple and free living, are soothing and full of joy. You and I are the same age, but I feel like your my old granddad, sharing life‘s wisdom. Thank you for sharing and spreading love.
Finally at a point in time I can start building a shed/workshop on my property and this channel has given me some great ideas. Gonna wait until hurricane season is finished though! Thanks Dave, your videos are truly inspiring👍
Hey you sure play a nice guitar! You mentioned that you have not been eating bread and your allergies are gone. You look terrific Dave! Enjoyed seeing you & Mick on a little trip together...loved those seals! WOW!
Your videos just never let me down. Watching after a long night shift really lets me unwind and just plain makes me happy. Great energy and I look forward to watching the next one.
Dave you and Brook are amazing, love watching you both.My guess would be a Terry trailer . Could be wrong. Jus5 a guess, but tyvm for both you and Brook. For teaching All of us sooooo much. ❤️💯
That crunchy floor reminds me of my first attempt at a primitive shelter in my backyard 2 years ago. Built from logs and pallet wood and had a concrete floor I poured myself. No wire. No grading. No floating. Such a crunchy ugly floor, and now that I work in concrete I get so embarrassed thinking about it. But watching your videos and working with guys in the trades have me inspired to make that cabin with a loft you did 20 feet from it in the near future. Thanks for coming back with another enjoyable video, Dave!
Thank you and your family for all your videos. I didn't find you all till 2024 and have been catching up! What a blessing. Love, Cathy from Pennsylvania!
I was up there in the mid 90's after D.S. at Ft Ritch , Family of 6, Getting used to 20 Hrs. of day light was an Adjustment ! 2022 with my present Wife and my Service Dog. That was a Great Trip. HyDi my service Partner dog now gone. She had a Good Life, and Loved that Trip as I and the Wife Did, Three Weeks in The Island of Ketchikan. The Inner Passage Ride from Bellingham, Wa and Back was Great ! the Wife and the Dog did great and Loved it. I Wish I had stayed now. But 65 is a bit old to try it again. Nice to see your boy that is young enough to maybe do so. With your Guidance he Should never Regret it !
Thanks Dave! Behind the scenes is refreshing. So good to see that you and Mick get together and do stuff together. When you were working on that cabin with the logs - it seems like SO MUCH work - yet when you filmed and presented the videos - you didn't mention the 'burn out' -- Kudos to perseverance! Solid structure to stand the test of time and enjoy the views!
Every time I watch one of these I feel like I've just caught up with a really good friend, hearing about what they've been up to. Wholesome family and content. Can't wait for the next one.
This was a lovely break from a busy day (prepped and canned 2 kinds of jam ! ) . It's always so nice to visit here and see what's on your ToDo list...so many talents ! Stay safe , well and wise !
great segment Dave. Good to see you enjoying some time with your son. loved your "sky cam" on a stick attempt to get a better peek at the mountains. very ingenious. thanks for sharing
These videos are like free therapy. Thanks, Dave.
Ever watched Joe Pera (TV series)? Think you'd all enjoy. Filmed in Upper Peninsula too.
@@streetsharkz love Joe Pera. Good shout 👍
Agreed!
Shhhh, he might start charging
Without a doubt the only TH-cam channel I break out the laptop, turn on HD and watch it while my two little girls fall asleep :) makes my day.
Dave I’m sure everyone’s been telling you, you have a great voice for storytelling. Watching and listening to you narrate completing even the most simplest of projects is very relaxing and satisfying.
Totally agree.!
Heck yeah, he speaks Amurican !
You have to ad "No homo"
Awe the campfire and music was the best. Nothing like father and son day out.
Any day a member of the Whipple family posts a new video, is a great day. Thanks Dave
I second the motion
I don't care much for art, but I even look at those.
I agree-💯 percent 😉

I love that the camper is basically a faraday cage.😅 Beautiful time of year to be up north, thanks for sharing!
Maybe attaching a piece of wire to the outside and running it in a window for an antennae would work.... 🙂
Beautiful and interesting video, Dave. Thanks for sharing all that you do!

That camper Dave looks very much like a older early to mid 60s Holiday Rambler.I had a 65 and looks very similar to it.Great vlog sir..!!

Fall in Alaska is the best, the alders and paper birches with their vibrant colors, the cooler weather make this season my favorite.
