You never cease to amaze me. This shed is so simple, and you described it so precisely that I'm going to give it a try. I have the lumber, and I have the time. So, I don't see why a 67-year-old woman can't do this.

I really don't mean to brag (sorry) but I've just turned 80 and have been doing such stuff (over eight properties, and 50 years...) until recently... but now I just don't have the strength to lift stuff. My wife, who has been watching me for a few years, is now my best helper.
Whenever I get out the hammer she always says: "When I nod my head, hit it..." and laughs like a drain.
"The couples who build together just can't help staying together..." OR...
"The couples who help each other cannot avoid staying together..."
      [I'll get my coat.]

Cut the right dimensions and it has to work out. Used 3,4,5 all my life or multiples if you have help, never. Some cut offs work back in. Not too much scrap. Always a good cooking fire at the end. Like the HAMMER. BRAND? Those ring nails take a good lick. Use them often. They don't back out. Local mill is so important. I support them all I can. Got posts for three projects now. I have a south of the border garage with a hillbilly roof. Hope it doesn't rain. Cloudy skies and roll plastic. All good Dave, from east Kentucky USA, keep a sharp saw. Square true level and plumb

Being female I never really was interested in doing it MYSELF so I hear the terms "jig that off" and I know basically what it means but never could figure out what the thing was nor could I find it in a hardware store. You should be a High School teacher. Patient, calm, and very informative. Love your videos! My uncle and Dad (may they rest in peace) often built their own sheds on my Iowa farm, and wished then I would have taken better notice of plum lines, and how to cut wood the right way, etc.... . Please keep doing what your doing and PLEASE, keep producing these videos.

You are a master builder. What a great video. You make it look so easy. And you explain everything in ways a novice can understand. Now...if I only needed a shed 😉

As a carpenter, who has to measure everything... I like how you slapped this all together and I can see exactly how you got the measurements without actually measuring anything.(well mostly)
I really enjoyed watching it and well done sir. This brought me back to when I was a kid building tree houses and forts and just "winging" it all. Great job and fast also. And Larry Haun is a master!

Beautiful JOB One suggestion is to remove that branch off the roof because in time it will scratch your roof paint off and that's not a good thing. I use to work in management at a Metal roofing company that supplied the metal and installed it as well. YOUR SHED IS AWESOME!!! Great design. and loved the video.

Ironically I was just thinking how I was going to build a new wood shed for some old dead trees that need to come down in the yard. Thank you sir.

My wife and I were up in norther Wisconsin this weekend and I was thinking about all the projects I've watched you create. Can't wait to get some land and put the information to good use! Thanks for another great video.

Man this was good timing! I was trying to decide what to do for a cow shelter. I'm wanting to get a couple feeders. Guess this answers my question! Thanks for the video Dave!

What a fun project. Your family is such an inspiration to me. Wish I would have went off-grid 20 years ago.

Built my first woodshed two years ago after having 5 large oaks taken down, and needing a space to dry the firewood. I meshed several different methods together and it turned out looking like a professional built it! The key is, make a plan and start. You’ll learn as you go. If you can make things square and level, you have the whole process licked. I threw down deck blocks and 2x6’s and went after it. A week later I have a shed that holds 6 cords and looks damn good while doing it.
Dave, I did use your method of setting a nail to hold the board to hold the studs while leveling and nailing. That was a life saver as I didn’t have any help. Appreciated that tip.

DAVE... you could have named this video... "COMMON SENSE CARPENTRY" Buddy, there's a ton of guys out there who can't tell the difference between a speed square and a sack of concrete. By watching this, they too can build something. Lay down some cloth and a few pressure treated floor joists and you could floor it, or enclose it as easily as you built it. That's one of the things I've always enjoyed about your channel. It's fun, it's easy, and it's practical. Thank you, buddy................
BTW, I used to have a Vietnam War buddy who lived down in Tok. I don't know if he's still alive or not, but your next trip through there, stop at the cafe and ask if there's a Vietnam era, Army air traffic controller still around. Dime me off if he's still there.............
