- Having the RED Komodo on the DJI Ronin RS2 Gimbal and using Raveneye for wireless video transmission and use it to pull focus remotely on Cine lenses with the Smallrig Magic WIZ follow focus system ... Is it a good idea or not?
We tried it, and here is the result.

The grey box is a Blackmagic Design SDI to HDMI converter to be able to get the camera feed into raveneye… not the most elegant solution since it needs USB power but it worked haha.

Yup, a dual handle or easyrig would've been nice that day on location.. :) But hey, I think it turned out quite nice! And next time, we'll rig something better ergonomic for the setup hehe

Interesting video and great footage man. You're an absolute artist. Just a question, you mentioned that you needed a Red Komodo for this shoot. Why is that? What made this shoot so that you need that specific camera? Curious to your answer man,.
Haha you are absolutely right Nick. “Need” is a strong word and “want” is probably better.
There is nothing in this production that couldn’t have been pulled off with the Canon R5 for example, but the RED just looks a little bit better and that was the objective here.
