Today, I’m going to cover the top foods that can destroy your liver.
Unfortunately, these foods are very common, especially in restaurants.
There are three main problems that occur in the liver: inflammation, fatty liver disease, and scar tissue. Scar tissue in the liver can lead to cirrhosis.
While alcohol is a big culprit when it comes to liver issues, many people are facing a condition called non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Even young kids are being affected by this condition.
The good news is that the liver can take a beating and regenerate. But, there is a point of limitation.
The worst foods for your liver:
    1. Fried foods
    2. Canned meat products
    3. TV dinners
    4. Nachos
    5. Canned tomato soup
    6. Foods with high fructose corn syrup
    7. Foods that contain aflatoxins
The best foods to support the liver:
    • Cruciferous vegetables
    • High-quality, grass-fed protein
    • Eggs
    • Cod liver or cod liver oil
    • Fatty fish

As an alcoholic taking my life back after 22 years of abuse was the best thing I did. I was told cirrhosis was my end... 19 months in no more health issues. Withdrawals almost killed me 3 times. I ended up not being able to walk due to so many vitamins and minerals missing .... was so dehydrated beyond belif. Heart attack, high blood pressure, fatty liver, and other things. An addict is ready when they are ready. For context, I'm 36, 5'1, and I was always an athlete until addiction took everything. Now Running 5 miles a day. Doing intermediate fasting and truly watching what I eat after only 2 months in, especially cutting all sugars. Except fruit. An alcoholic has to be very careful bc diabetes can come into play. Dr. Berg truly saved my life with intermediate fasting and breaking down everything. I'm a freaking walking miracle! Cheers to the mf new year ya'll! This body and especially the mind, has never looked of felt better. Weight was 220 im at 140 and was clinically depressed, BDP... life ain't so bad now, but my gosh, the focus and discipline it takes. The pain it took to get here, though. I drank 5 pints a day.

As someone who had NAFLD and completely reversed it. (Ultrasound and Blood work has confirmed this), I can absolutely attest to what Dr. Berg is talking about. I kept eating what my doctor told me, kept gaining weight, ended up Type-2 Diabetic, high LDL (Low density particles), high blood pressure. I was a walking heart-attack. It’s the volume of fructose you consume. You’re body can only handle a certain amount at once. A couple glasses of orange juice is no different to having 10 oranges, putting some maple syrup on red meat is fine. A bottle of Coca Cola before a 2 hour weight lifting session can be beneficial. I grew up on all of this stuff. I am 68 now and having a real problem with my liver and I am having so much trouble getting rid of my fatty liver. I started having problems with my gallbladder back in 1996, but nobody was talking about what we know now. Then, in 2010 I got really sick and had my gallbladder removed. At that time, they said my bile was really thick, but again no one knew what to do to solve it. Now, I know I am having trouble again, because of rashes everywhere and pain all around my right side. I recently went to the emergency room, but they would not even listen to me about the liver issues and gave me medication for the rash. I am poor and only have Medicare, so my medical options are limited. It seems everything I do just makes things worse, so am very frustrated and concerned.

@@kimsim6757 I have been intermittent fasting for a couple years now. I did Keto for quite some time but can only do that for so long. I am taking Tudca to try and thin my bile. I don't eat anything I don't make myself. I have quit eating just about everything I know of that is not good for me (most of the time). Since the trip to the emergency room, I have been fasting with only cabbage soup, which has helped a little. Every time I try to "cleanse my liver" I get even sicker, so I am leery of doing anything too extreme.

Well I'm 52 years old and I went to my doctor for a random normal checkup. Now I've always been trying to lose weight but it's been an up-and-down battle all my life since I had children. So anyways my doctor told me that I had a fatty liver and I had to go on meds for high blood pressure and my cholesterol was also up. Now even though I was struggling with my weight up and down my whole life everything was fine. I was shocked at my blood pressure when I went in because I wasn't feeling any different. So already at this point I started working out everyday then watching one of the videos here I decided to try intermittent fasting and since June I've dropped 30 lbs. All I eat is boiled eggs with arugula, I do have kale even though I cannot stand it and I also eat chicken from the oven and I also have broccoli. I watched one of Dr Berg's videos and he said that arugula is very good for your arteries. So that's why I started with arugula not knowing anything else. Well when I went to my doctor even though I'm on a very very tiny small dose of this medication, my liver is no longer fatty even though I'm still having to lose weight, my cholesterol is completely perfect and my blood pressure is completely perfect as well. I have to wait until February and I have requested to see if I can go off this medication to see if my change in eating habits have done enough where I don't have to take the medication anymore. I am seeing a heart specialist because I have svt's now and then and they wanted to make sure that my heart was okay and that's why I started on arugula because they said my valves I believe it was were hardening of it but they said that was just due to age. Anyways the arugula and the broccoli the chicken and the kale and the eggs have all played the most important role in getting all of my levels back to normal. So I keep plugging away, trying to lose weight and we will see where it goes. I have an uphill battle though according to my doctor because I am 52, I've had three kids I've also had a hysterectomy and I'm going through menopause. So she told me that my hormones are playing a huge role in the fact that it's hard for me to lose weight I have gotten to the point where I've gotten extremely depressed about it because I would really like to be Slimmer and be able to tuck in a shirt and not have to hide a tummy but everyday I go downstairs in my basement and I work out. As tough as it is 😢

@michellebaily-defina644 thanks I appreciate that a lot. It gets tough because even though I can feel I'm losing on my body and when I try on my clothes, I'm still chunky so when I look at myself I'm like oh why is it taking so long? Then I ran into three people that I know acquaintance wise and they were really tiny oh my goodness how did you lose your weight I've been working out and eating healthy for months. What was their response? Ozempic. I'm like no thanks. I'll do it this way and if I lose more I do and if I don't oh well. It's very hard mentally for sure.

    • @babygrizwold
      @babygrizwold 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@nickbonvino2292 yeah I stopped all of that too pretty much cold turkey. Just because I have a pretty strong willpower I guess. It never bothered me to go low-carb. The working out I do everyday. I was told 15 good minutes on a treadmill and on an exercise bike is all that I need that was from my heart specialist. Then I also do crunches leg lifts things like that. Alternating days I do step aerobics this is all in my own home of course in my basement. It's just very hard because it seems like I'm stalled out and recently my family doctor told me it was due to my hormones and menopause and I just have to keep plugging away at it. It's very very tough to keep going downstairs everyday and working out not knowing if I'm actually going to see any more improvement. Even though I look in the mirror and I like myself it's not like I hate myself, it would just be so nice to be able to go into a store and buy clothes not worrying about is the shirt long enough to cover my tummy

My fault clearly, but I fell victim to the packaging that looked organic ,it's Stevia In The Raw. Avoid it. I noticed upon using it that I felt aweful and had stomach issues. My vitamin shoppe was out of organic liquid stevia ,so I bought the other at the grocery store.

It would be great if you could do a video about how life and nutrition intake can be improved if you don’t have a gallbladder as well as the long term issues that can arise from not having one. I have plenty stored. As Dr. Ken Berry says canned meat is still much better for you than any refined carb. You still get the protein and canned meat is mostly organs. SHTF this food will carry you and give you vital nutrients, you won't care about the maltodextrin in it. I say this avoiding anything with maltodextrin in it or any other chemicals including vitamins. But until then eat other meats that are whole without added ingredients. Steak, burger, pork chops, etc.

Gonna raise and grow as much as we can for our families. I try to share with others what I see is killing them or making them hurt or sickly. It is astounding how many people just don’t want to believe there are things being pushed on us and sold to us that cause so much pain, suffering and illness. So sad. They would rather take a hand full of pills a few times a day than to eat in a healthy way. Keep up the great work!!

Avoiding these 7 things that harm the liver would be an adjunct to the recommendation to eat one or two meals a day with a long interval of not eating to give your cells a break from dealing with insulin.
