I got the mini 2 last week and it's great, and tried flying in 19mph winds and it flew like a kite, anything below that though I haven't had any problems
@@dimagass7801 ahhh dude i love everything about this small drone.if dji pack this drone with active track and a avoiding sensor's this drone in my opinion is better than other dji drones because of the smaller size and less noise and you can make him go to the smaller places and avoid obstacles more easily. I wish mini 3 has this features. Finger crossed 😁

Nice to see such a test conducted responsibly with a spotter! Just a note, when flying under obstacles with a ceiling and a chance of losing signal, remember to set your RTH to "Hover", otherwise your drone might try to return and crash, because of no obstacle avoidance 😉

Ken.. ya convinced me to buy a Mini 2.. been flying several months now, 70 miles covered already. it is a HUGE value of fun .. and best part is how stealthy it is, hardly anyone even notices it .. it's small & quiet compared to other drones I have, and SO PORTABLE with the flymore carrying case .. it is now my go to drone for filming.
The new drone pilot's reaction was AWESOME!!!! Ken, I think you may have sparked a flame for this new pilot...great job on including people around you...that was great!

It can fly 400 feet btw. The same as every other drone.

@@BigJ_FPVActaully, It can fly higher, you just have to agree to the liability when adjusting the max height above 400 feet.
It flew to a height of 595 ft. So it can go at least that high.

The "Mavic Mini 2" goes up to 500 m (1640 ft) high. That is the highest setting in the "DJI Fly"-App. And it works. Even in the city. I didn't try to "fly around", but quite straight up and down was no problem at all. I love this little thing.

Even more trustworthy are MicroSD cards such as SanDisk High Endurance. They're class 10 U3 V30 with extra shielding. Higher resistance to temp extremes, magnetic fields, x-rays and vibration & shock. Microsd is durable to begin with; these are just beefed up. No significant price difference. Ideal for drone life.

I'm gonna get a new Extreme Pro SD card for my M2P soon and I use an Extreme Plus SD card in my Mini 2. 😉 Great footage of your Mini 2 climbing over 500 ft AGL.

I use that same Sandisk card in my mini 2 that you just tore up....works frine for me. I think perhaps you just needed to format the card after taking it out of the Mini 1 and then inserting it into the Mini 2

Hey Ken, it was this vid and the one u flew up to Bass Pro Shops that got me into drones in fall of 2021. You're a fun guy and still a kid at heart ❤️ my kids roll their eyes at me for being the same way. I seen you were in Chicago last year on your rt66 trip. You were near the old joliet state prison they closed in 2002 opened in 1850s.. I got footage of the place and a window is open to look into the cell blocks. Last August Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi played a blues Brothers concert in memory of John Belushi there. Next time you are coming to Chicago I would like to give you a heads up some places u might wanna explore 😉 stay blessed and safe brother and keep on going 😃

It's a GREAT first drone - had mine about a month and love it.
I'd wait and see how the pricing on the Mini 3 compares, if it's got sensors all around I'd spend the extra few hundred - really the only thing the Mini 2 lacks.
@@scrambler350 yeah I was thinking on waiting to see about the mini 3 but at the moment I think the 2 will be more in my price range, can always upgrade to the 3 at a later date :)

I bought mine through DJI and it appears they have a 'trade in' program if, after it comes out and gets put through it's paces, the Mini 3 is just too cool to resist we can always 'upgrade'.

I just started flying yesterday. I have my part 107 cert and all that. I took thing to 300 ft in a field and was shaking. Watching you fly around the At&T building had me so nervous. My goodness. Excellent flying and video. Eventually, I will be this confident.
How was the testing part?
