I like the neo, but I really like My avata2. Thanks for taking the time to put out these videos, really appreciate your personality. The rapid response vehicle made me think about the mobile home museum that you visited that was fascinating, one of your best pieces Imo.
Spoiler: it has issues indoors. The Neo (maybe just the one I used) has terrible sat signal reception, which is of course even worse indoors. Add to that the “low ambient light” issue (in daylight indoors) and you get a drone that likes to FLY FULL SPEED OUT OF CONTROL when it drops all sats. This is in follow mode, using the iPhone controls… AND with goggles 3 and motion controller. 3 tests. 3 flailing into the wall moments. Why it can’t just maintain course for a second or pause before it regains says or vision system feedback and has to go nuts is beyond me.
im just curious but do you know what dji drones are under 501 grams? (in argentina, the limit to fly a drone without registration is 500 grams wich is cool isnt it?)
I've been having a lot of fun with my Neo. You are correct about it being a gateway to buying accessories. I started with the Neo by itself, and now I have a spare battery and the RC-N3. I hear a rumor that there will soon be less expensive goggles coming out as well.
I have the avata 1 and 2 that I fly with the 2 equipment and a mini pro 3. Even though i really want to get the Neo I’m not going to buy it because I’m not going to buy the 3 equipment or rc2. To bad, so sad.
That’s dji and their dumb compatibility nightmares. If they wanted to, they could even make the v2’s compatible. Although the avata 2 with Goggles 3 give better range, latency, o4, and 60mbps. With the goggles 2, the avata 2 runs in o3 mode instead of o4.
Sure, but the ZeroZero Hover Air X1 Pro Max Ultra will not require registration. Not that they don't want you to, just that the form application does not allow that many characters under "Drone Model"
@@BlairAir I never bought one of these selfie drones because I live in a big city in Montreal and I noticed that nobody ever uses these selfie drones in a big city. These ridiculous rules that determine how you can fly based simply on whether you have a monetized TH-cam channel or not seem to have no logical basis whatsoever. I think you're taking a very extreme position on part 107. Using your logic, if a private pilot with no commercial rating makes videos from his airplane and uploads them to TH-cam, he is breakin' the law, breakin' the law, as Def Leppard would say. There are thousands (millions?) of monetized TH-cam videos from private pilots with no commercial rating. I don't see the FAA going after them. One of those content creators, Scott Manley, has 1.7 million subscribers. If this was an issue, surely the FAA would have come after him already. He only got his PPL about a year ago. The video that got me monetized was literally a video of me crashing my ultralight. I have my PPL, but the FAA never came down on me for monetizing a video of my ultralight crash.
First off. It a Cold open, Satire combined with facts. This was there to be funny. How ever, People are already being sued, with their home range that is not open to the public, with the claim they are now commercial ranges due to the fact they are posting the footage to TH-cam. he was had an injunction form filming at this home and posting the videos because of this. (the very thing you are proposing here, just replace drone, with Legel, private, gun range) It has been in litigation for 4 years now. so even if it is for entertainment or not, you are underestimating the governments propensity for going after the normal everyday citizens
Technically, since TH-cam can place commercials on non-monetized channels, it is still considered in furtherance of a business according to the FAA. BS as far as I'm concerned.
@@exiledfpvcuz kenheron is wrong He basically saying drone videos you post on youtube makes you be required to have the drone registered and be part 107 with the FAA That’s totally incorrect as its all about intent and if you actually are being paid Orderwise anyone posting drone videos on any social media platform including Facebook, Twitter or Tiktok would be considered to be registered and be part 107 licensed as well cuz Kenherons assumption they could just add commercials to your videos In reality thats just not how this works at all He really needs to talk to someone from the FAA like Ive have before spreading his misinformation

Second off.. "Breaking the law" is Judas Priest
what if i dont monetize the video?
Technically, since TH-cam can place commercials on non-monetized channels, it is still considered in furtherance of a business according to the FAA. BS as far as I'm concerned.
@@KenHeron good to know! Stay epic buddy!
@@exiledfpvcuz kenheron is wrong
He basically saying drone videos you post on youtube makes you be required to have the drone registered and be part 107 with the FAA
That’s totally incorrect as its all about intent and if you actually are being paid
Orderwise anyone posting drone videos on any social media platform including Facebook, Twitter or Tiktok would be considered to be registered and be part 107 licensed as well cuz Kenherons assumption they could just add commercials to your videos
In reality thats just not how this works at all
He really needs to talk to someone from the FAA like Ive have before spreading his misinformation
A sense of humour, how refreshing:)
😊♥️
Excellent Video Ken
What about One Second Song Jason Crockett v Kelly Green on Rock 98.3 WJLI FM 👍
Now that's an idea!!
they're Definitely going to make a 2nd gen of this drone because it's been such a hit
but it likely wont be soon, unless they make a "neo pro" version. i only wish it had a better camera module, like the one on avata 2 ... ... hmmm makes me wonder... what if..... 🤔
1:03 whaaa? I did not know this…. If only there was a bi-weekly drone channel that features cutting edge industry/hobby news….
If only... 🤪
You the Man Ken!
😊♥️
I'm gonna try and see if it will track my german shepherd ha ha
Yeah, do it!
Awesome.
Thanks! 😊
Thank you for the video!
You are very welcome!
Got the goggles, now scavenging for a discount RC3, might try the Avata 2 after I learn the basics 😅
You're gonna love it!
doesn't have obstacle avoidance.
i wonder if it would imprint from a photo........ yikes if it can then how easy would it be to add some software to make it hunt for that person... double yikes!!
The technology is about as scary as it is cute.
Ya, I don't think I'd escape that swarm either. I wonder how much of a pop the batteries could make.
Wow, what timing. Thanks
You’re welcome 😊
The FOIST THANG I DUN waz... (why am I talking like that?) The first thing I did was take off the prop guards. Like as I opened it, and pulled it out of the thick, hazy plastic bag, I removed them. I kept them, but can't imagine putting them on, for any reason.
Couldn't agree more!
😂😂😂😂at those who actually follows the drone rules. F them, F the FAA and F the public who get butthurt over a hobby. Dji neo is just an another toy and the fanboys love it. Hover air is where it’s at.
Wow, what a progres on Your channel :) +1
Thanks a lot! 😊
Don't forget about the recently approved DJI ban outcome as well lol!
🤪
Very entertaining and informative!
Glad you enjoyed it!
best not-review review evah
hahahaha, you crack me up man
Coke floats corndogs? I had no idea. I wonder if the breading provides extra buoyancy.
🤔
Imagine caring about the regulations.
Wow Kelly Green! Hey Ken was that also the VTOL guy Owen wearing a cowboy hat?
It was!
We're working on a very special surprise involving the LST 325 ship.
@@KenHeron thought he looked familiar… that’s awesome 👍
noun: butt-hurt
an excessive or unjustifiable feeling of personal offense or resentment.
"it's time to get over the butthurt from last year's playoffs"
I think that whole group from the View have made entirely too much money already for the absolutely horrible show. All they ever did was lie about people they did not like. Never honest, never accurate, and never could be trusted. Take your money, shut up and retire please for the love of Pete, no one wants to hear or see anything from that group again. No ill wishes just go away, PLEASE
Thanks for sharing this information with us Ken. I'm selling all my other drones and keeping the Neo for all my Part 107 professional jobs, LOL. Great video, thanks for sharing.
🤣🤣
Good plan, Ron!
Good video
Very entertaining
Yup folks just don’t know that
Technically it must be flown from a controller too to be compliant too so autonomous flying is against 107
The things we learn 😂
Make Video Horizontal Again! Fun little presentation! You are such a PIC!
Thanks drone Rob!!🤘😎
9:08 the CrackRock gateway drone of ‘24… 😊
🤣🤣👍
I thought anything under 250 grams didn't have to be registered
"I thought anything under 250 grams didn't have to be registered"
Likely so, but if you fly under Part 107 rules, your drone must be registered.
@thomasmaughan4798 Mine is 249 grams and I just fly to capture cool videos of landscape. I upload some on my TH-cam channel but I'm far from monetized. I guess I'm ok then?
@@t.g.remixed " I guess I'm ok then?"
yes.
