    Thanks for the video. FYI K&N are terrible filters. Might be OK if you ride street only, but I would never have one offroad. They just don't filter well. You can get a Unifilter to replace the intake snorkel if you want something that can be washed and re-used. Best of all, you can do it without taking the tank off! Many people report that they never have to replace the stock paper filter again. Improved filtration AND reusable!

    Syncing throttle bodies at idle will make the bike run smoother at idle, the goal is to have a smooth engine at your usual cruising rpm, for example i cruise 4k-6k rpm therefore my best sync rpm would be at about 5k

    • @ozarksbackroads5484
      @ozarksbackroads5484  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      sorry sir but if that throttle bodies are in sync at idle they will also be in sync at highway rpm. That is just the the way they work... thanks for watching and keep safe out there... :)

      hello sir, the scan app does allow you to reset the service light on the Tiger 800. I have seen videos where some people cannot get their service lights to reset however. I have reset the light on my Tiger a couple of times and have had no problem doing so. I cannot say for sure if the app allows this with the 900 or 1200 however. I would imagine that it is the same for the 1200 but with the new 900 you may have to do some research on that. Thanks for watching sir... keep safe... :)

    Thanks for all the info, I want to get the components to do my 800. A couple of questions; should you warm the engine up to operating temp before you do the vacuum balance? And should you clean the throttle body with carb cleaner with a emphasis on the balance ports?
    Thanks again!

      hey Chris, good to hear from you. Yes the engine should be at normal operating temperature when the throttle bodies are balanced. I do not believe the throttle bodies need to be cleaned unless the bike has really a lot of miles on it. Hope you enjoy your trip to Eureka and Cassville in November. That is a really nice area. I will be out in Texas the last week of October and the first week of November so I won't be able to catch up with you guys but thanks for the invite. Hello there sir, good to hear from you. The computer on your bike raises the idle up when you begin to let out on the clutch to help keep the rider from stalling the bike on take off. This is a feature of the 800's 900's and the 1200 Tigers. I am not aware of any way to defeat this feature.
