Nice adventure ride with the new bike John. Looks like your new bike got baptized for sure with those water crossing. Nice history and beautiful scenic route. Sorry about your phone. BTW, Old log cabins in the Ozark region often had long logs running from gable end to gable end because this construction method, known as "full-length logs," provided maximum structural integrity and stability, especially in areas with harsh weather conditions and limited access to large quantities of timber; essentially, using fewer, longer logs created a stronger framework for the cabin walls. Keep the vlog coming.

Another great video, Jon. As you know, I love the water crossings and the drone footage. Great time to do this too, with all the water coming from the springs. Sorry about the sacrificial phone though. A reason to upgrade, I guess. Keep up the great work! I still want to try that Chinese in West Plains! : )

Nice day out for it being February ! Would you say so far that the Transalp is an comfortable on the highway as the Ibex ? I would like to see you do an in depth install video when you do your cruise control if that would work out for you .

That was quite a ritual to set the abs off and traction. Good thing it didn't send a confirmation email also. Throw away that phone mount please. Ram has another model, the Quick Grip. Looks safer than this one.

I'm watching with a whole lot of envy, and substantial memory of rides taken and bikes come & gone. I crashed my Kawasaki 650 a couple of years ago, breaking my hips, pelvis, arm, along with various other injuries. I'm 80 now and figured, yeah, better not push my limits any longer. But one bike still stands out in my memory like a lost sweetheart. Enjoy your rides... just stay out of heavy fast moving traffic.

I think we would love to hear how and why you chose that bike considering you already had a middleweight bike in the CF Moto. Are you planning on keeping the Ibex, or is there another bike in the future?

Hey Jon, I like the way you are outfitting your TA , I stopped a the dealer last week and sat on one , had a really nice feel I thought vs the Africa Twin that was right beside it , different bikes but I am thinking the Trans Alp may be a good replacement for my 650 vstrom adventurer although it would be hard for me to part with it too. Do you still have your Ibex 800 ?

I watched your video, congratulations! I wanted to ask you for some advice: I noticed that you didn’t use any thread locker on the monoshock bolt. Do you recommend not using it, considering the high torque?

Nice new bike Jon, I think you've picked a winner. Just hate to see the old Triumph go. A fine video too, just a shame the ice turned you around. I'm sure cabin fever was getting the best of you, especially with the new bike in the garage begging to be ridden. Keep up the good work, see you in the next one!

Just put cruise on mine this last week. It works great. Also got motorcycle car play unit so my phones not on the bars. Highly recommend. Trans alp is a good touring bike for me, you can get on the big road and really fly if you need to.

Some of those low water slabs are like ice year round. I have been down in the water a few times because of them.

Hey, I bought a Transalp in December. Rode it for the first time today. The Veridian Cruise Control kit I installed seems to work great! Enjoy the bike!
