Great vídeo as always. Can you tell us where do you find the service manuals? I need the service manual for a Triumph Tiger Sport 1050 but can not find ir on internet available. Greetings from México !
I don't understand the 20-30? When I see you do only 2 1/2 on the ruler lol. I'm American so I think I'm not understanding the measurement conversion? Or do you measure at between 20 and 30?
Hi Randy, As a rule of the tumb.. when you are able to pull the chain a few mm away from the rear sprocket (in the middle of the sprocket) then its time to renew the chain. When that is okay then you measure the play of the chain to see if its within spec. Greets from The Old Mechanic
@@TheOldMechanic Thank you for getting back to me. As I said I don’t have a bike with a chain but a few guys in the motorcycle club do and some of these guys don’t do maintenance on their bikes. It’s a law enforcement club and all we do is ride. Some are retired and some still work. I have them watching your channel and they have subscribes to the channel. Again thank you for the reply Sir. Stay safe and keep them coming Old Mechanic. Randy
110nm is correct and is the same as my 2011 Tiger 800. You don't need a service manual especially as it is a common adjustment so it is specified in the basic owner's manual that comes with every bike.
Thankyou Old mechanic.Another superb video. Love watching these videos with a cup of tea and planning my weekend maintenance.Superb.
This guy is great. Well done on this video 👍
Love the video Sir.
Thanks !
Very helpful, Thanks!!
Thanks for the detailed video. Is pulling it to the specified torque enough, or is there any lock for the nut?
I like this guy.
Hi old mechanic, I’m interested to know what make and model of torque wrenches you use… many thanks 😊
I use TengTools for the click ones i have, and my digital is a Facom 😉

Its in millimeters. 1 inch = 25.4 mm 😉
@@TheOldMechanic thank you!!
I have a question. I never had a motorcycle with a chain. When do you know it has to be adjusted or replaced?

110nm torque isn't that much?

This wrong. Need to measure the tension in few points.
Right 👍🏻👊🏻😉
