I wonder when they will try out rug tufting since they enjoy this I'm sure the transition to making rugs would be the next step, and we all know it would be a joobie rug for Katelyn and a chaotic galaxy for Evan?
Yes! Please try it. I can think of many reasons why both of them would love it. 1. You have to be more controlled than with lets say, needle felting for example, as there are steps and rules that need to be followed to get a good rug result which I feel Katelyn will really enjoy while Evan will be a bit more willing to push the boundaries of the rules to see what really can or cannot be done. 2. The planning of the rug before hand that I think K will enjoy can be complimented by E need for seeing how artistic you can make a piece think like a Bob Ross painting but in rug form. 3. After the initial cost of getting the tufting gun and discounted yarn being able to see just how much of the other items can be DIY made to save costs will be perfect for the "bought vs DIY" type episodes they sometimes do. 4. It would make a great live stream too so everyone watching can see just how much time really goes into making a custom rug, like how long goes into making needle felting art, this way those who want to buy instead of DIY can understand why some artists charge what they do for their rugs. 5. The rugs can add sound dampening to the workshop while also adding art since you can hang them on a wall if you don't want to walk on your work. 6. Kitty can have a new scratching surface if they can find out what yarn type she enjoys scratching. 7. Rugs can be used in more parts of life than just one.
@@EvanandKatelynUncutI actually got into needle felting ilafter watching your first video on it, and it's been great, so thank you for that. From what I've seen, you haven't mentioned the different types, or gauges of needles. If you're wanting to move a lot of wool fast, you're best bet is to use a thicker gauge needle. So 36 or 38ish. If you combine that with one of the multi needle gadgets, you will see a stark difference in how fast you can shape your wool. Once it becomes difficult to push the needle(s) into the wool, that's the sign to either drop down to a smaller gauge, or fewer needles, or both.
my autism is always ready to chime in about the Ghibli pronunciation! both way are very much correct, the hard j pronunciation comes from it being pronounced with a Japanese accent, but the studio is actually names after an Italian plane, which is said with a soft g! so it fully comes down to preference and accents!
When Joobie was hanging out at the bottom of the screen, my long-haired void (who shares me with two ginger DSHs) got super excited and tried to play with her through the TV. She usually doesn’t pay attention to the screen, but I guess she was happy to see someone that looks like her. Representation matters!
As a hobby jeweler, those optivisors (the magnifying headband) are GREAT. They're especially helpful when working on really small things, though usually jewelers usually work much closer to the face than a standard desk and chair setup would have you. so being just a couple of inches away is actually the ideal focus range for that. I know of other artisans who use them for painting or glazing ceramics, and I've heard of dentists refining things like crowns or dentures with them. Pretty specific use cases, but *very* helpful for the purpose. ETA: as a glasses wearer, I leave my glasses on while using them, too. They're magnifiers, not corrective lenses. So any shortcomings in your vision will carry over without your Rx lenses too.
My dad used the pair I bought him to work on watches and electronics, specially with the tiny screws and sodering small connections. And with his poor eyesight it really worked wonders.
In my job, making medical accessibility jewelry, we use the visors for focusing on polishing the rings and splints that we make. I’m about 7-10 inches away from my work surface. Also, I don’t take my glasses off to work
Being bothered by mouth sounds CAN be Misophonia (I have it, but Evan’s snacking doesn’t bother me too much so thank you for keeping that in mind without even realizing how big of a deal that can be for someone like me
Another solution is you can just eat off camera and there's a zero percent chance of anyone hearing it at all! I totally have it and it drives me insane sometimes hearing the crunching and munching some people do. Some people eat like literal animals.
To get rid of all the fuzzies at the end you just need a sharp pair of scissors (smaller ones used for sewing or nails) and you just go around and give it a close trim. You can make them super smooth with no fluff at all.
The trick to getting equal sized arms/legs/eyes/etc, is to get 2 equal sized fluffs of wool before you start felting it down, since you'll most likely be compressing them pretty equally to each other. Then if you realize they're ending up too small, get 2 equal sized pieces again to add. For something like Calcifer though, he's kind of an amorphous shape so having unequal limbs isn't really an issue.
So I have to ask, "is it that kind of stream?" My 17 year old saw Evan's "log", turned red, and said to me "Mom, is he making a pen15?" I had to lean on my cane, because I was laughing so hard. My 9 year old chimes in with "It looks like poo!" 😂😂😂😂 Timing is everything.
19:00 I love when Evan explains how things work and what each part is ✨✨. THIS WHOLE TIME I THOUGHT JOOB WAS LIKE 5-7 YEARS OLD AND SHE'S 14?! She's just a little old lady 🤧🤧
Often couples have their own hobbies that they do separately so it's lovely to see you both enjoying activities together. I remember watching my parents spend a lifetime at opposite ends of their house as my mum sat in the living room knitting while my dad would be upstairs with his computer and all of the couples I know follow that pattern too. Thanks for demonstrating that it isn't impossible for partners to actually do stuff together. I also adore how clearly you both show your love for each other. Such a cute couple!

I 100% watch all videos on each channel while I’m crocheting. It’s fun entertaining background noise that’s easy to pay attention to. And it makes my fam look at me weird when they enter and hear what I’m watching with no context😂😂😂
Joob Is the best part of this video. I'm currently living with my husband a couple of states away from home because of work, And our apartment doesn't allow pets. So i'm currently missing my baby boy desperately who I only get to go home and see every couple months.
You guys are 100% my comfort show. Right now, in fact, you are being my comfort show. lol Thank you so much for all the comfort you have given me the last few years!
I am absolutely in love with the Calcifer, I want so much to try needle felting now!!! I love Howl’s moving castle so much and I need a felt Calcifer now❤️❤️❤️
Ok, I have another excuse to needle felt. How about doing some needle felt paintings! You start with a felt sheet "canvas" and use your wool as paint to create an artwork.
The magnifying headset thing IS worthwhile if you are trying to paint the faces on 28mm minatured. And for finding and repairing dropped stitches in socks made with regular sock yarn. Larger things really don’t work for me either.
My kitties only care about the TV a when any form of fish tank is playing… but Joobie had both of their attention!! Sitting up in my lap, watching intently, purrs and chirps. One of my two cats also loves when I needle felt - she especially loves chomping on the edge of the big ole felt pad I use like she’s teething.
I kept feeling the need to apologize for intruding on Calcifer every time Evan would tilt his crack toward the camera. Loved this project, and you guys KILLED it!
You can make your own lint balls in the dryer doing it a little bit at a time with one color then changing color and you get a geo after you cut it after you’ve done multiple layers, put one color of fiber in the dry at a time
Not sure if someone said this, sorry don't want to read all the comments, Calcifer didn't have testes, that's Howl's Heart. It disappears after they give Howl back his heart. That's why you see it a few times before the end of the movie. You guys are great, thanks for all you do. PS, our daughter asks to pass on Joob Loves
Random tangent thinking about your tie dye crafts - have you tried tie dye with batik? I even wonder if you could batik with bleach or if it would eat the wax? You can make super awesome line art, crackle art and anything random you both dream up.
I’m hopping on the train: I’m in the Seattle area 😊. I started watching this video while doing chores… and ended up switching to needle felting haha. I got a set for my birthday after I saw the video of you felting with Joob’s fur and that’s what I’ve been doing. The set came with finger protectors, highly recommend! I watched a couple of how to videos and one thing I noticed is that they roll the starting wool up really tight and I think they said sometimes they even knot it. Maybe rolling it tighter could help make the early densification shorter? Although y’all have more needle felting experience than I do so I’m just playing telephone
I got that exact same magnifying headset but in white for my dad for his birthday last year. He loved that thing, with his old eyes it worked wonders for the trinkets and watches hed work on and fix, sadly he passed away last month and the magnifier got broken in his decline of his health and mental functions. But its a great tool for those that have a need for it.
Also, i think you are supposed to wear with your prescription glasses. It is an afjustment in depth per eption, but your brain is capable of that adjusment with just a little.practice.
They make needle felting machines that look like sewing machines. They're only intended for flat felting, not 3d, but they're pretty cool. The handheld ones are probably best for flat felting, too
Needle felting tip! U could brush out regular yarn with a slicker brush and use that as the felt It gives u a lot more color options and I've noticed the finished product tends to be softer I've done this with multiple types of yarn and the only one it didn't work great for was cotten yarn
These streams are so comfy to draw to, thank you for uploading the uncut versions! I love how they both turned out, very good and very cursed! So Pom Poko features Raccoon Dogs (which are their own species in Japan) They are depicted with large... uh... bowling balls... as a sign of prosperity and money in Japanese folklore and the larger they are the wealthier one becomes. Calcifer's situation is that he has a pact with Howl and that is his heart, the image is definitely sus though xD.
My son and I loved this stream. It was so much fun to watch. P.S. my up next recommended video was a TangoTek stream titled 6,000 wool 😂 how appropriate.
Yes, wet mouth sounds are worse than crunch (usually), but I gotta say, ice cream and mashed potatoes and yogurt are perfectly fine. You're telling me you actually make noise when eating those things?
I have a headaet that came with a series of different lenses which is great for seeing different levels of detail. I use it for mini painting and cross stitch

joob's purrs are awesome. you guys got one adorable supervisor.

3:35:55 This moment was so adorable! I love that these 2 are genuinely, obviously crazy about each other🥰 It makes me ridiculously happy seeing it
I have one of those headsets and I absolutely ADORE them for detailing my 3D print projects.

This was a fun stream! Katelyn is cute with those magnifying glasses :)
I again fell asleep while whaching a relaxing stream, so I have to see the rest of it now 😅
I kept feeling the need to apologize for intruding on Calcifer every time Evan would tilt his crack toward the camera. Loved this project, and you guys KILLED it!
I will be watching this soon but I already know the edited version is gonna be epic 😊❤
You can make your own lint balls in the dryer doing it a little bit at a time with one color then changing color and you get a geo after you cut it after you’ve done multiple layers, put one color of fiber in the dry at a time
You get the outer layer, not the inner stuff when you do small layers at a time
Not sure if someone said this, sorry don't want to read all the comments, Calcifer didn't have testes, that's Howl's Heart.
If you didn't know, Calcifer's full name is Sir Calcifer Longcrack.
I love watching your videos while I crochet :) you guys should try doing a video crocheting!
1:18:28 yes!!!.. Joob!!!....
Magnifiers are typically used for fine detail work. I use magnifying glasses when painting miniatures.
Katelyn’s Kirby had North of the border vibes❤
Lol, 33:40 - I think Katelyn just got AI-splained 😝
YES 😂😂😂😂
Using an animated image as an inspo pic is a bold move 😅
Oh my, just in time to background watching while I start working ❤🎉
One second into the video and I'm already rolling on the floor 😭😭
I got that exact same magnifying headset but in white for my dad for his birthday last year. He loved that thing, with his old eyes it worked wonders for the trinkets and watches hed work on and fix, sadly he passed away last month and the magnifier got broken in his decline of his health and mental functions. But its a great tool for those that have a need for it.
Try flipping the lens around on the glasses, all the ones I have seen used you dont have to be that close.
I was wondering about this too because her eyes were so big 👁️ 👁️
Also, i think you are supposed to wear with your prescription glasses. It is an afjustment in depth per eption, but your brain is capable of that adjusment with just a little.practice.
They make needle felting machines that look like sewing machines. They're only intended for flat felting, not 3d, but they're pretty cool. The handheld ones are probably best for flat felting, too
Needle felting tip!
U could brush out regular yarn with a slicker brush and use that as the felt
It gives u a lot more color options and I've noticed the finished product tends to be softer
I've done this with multiple types of yarn and the only one it didn't work great for was cotten yarn
I literally wore that exact shirt today Katelyn lol
Joob is so cute and the best supervisor 🥺🖤
My cats don't like the sound trash bags make either. If they are playing with plastic, though, they love to make as much noise as possible.
Omg the Evans giggle after he said define the checks had me going lol
Evan cutting toward his hand had me cringing so hard and just covering my eyes waiting for disaster. So glad it didn't end in bloodshed! 😂❤
Evan is definitely the type of person that needs to be reminded on the regular not to run with scissors xD
I'm so sad I never get notified for your Twitch lives anymore and I just checked to make sure that they were still turned on, and they are! 🥺
so strange! wish the notifications were more reliable
It’s funny how you mention putting on your streams in the background as I always put your streams on when I crochet!
Joob purrs 🥰🥰 oh my goodness
My son and I loved this stream. It was so much fun to watch.
P.S. my up next recommended video was a TangoTek stream titled 6,000 wool 😂 how appropriate.
Instead of "Don't let your dreams be dreams." It's "Don't let your logs be turds."
THANK YOU! When they said 'turd with a toupée all I could see was Trump.
@@exotherm42 I was debating keeping that on my comment! I was like "Is that too far? Not far enough?"
😆
@@exotherm42 😆
The magnifying glasses are good for crafts you can bring close to your face that require precise vision (like crochet)
No chaos, Evan! Katelyn got dressed up for this. She is serious. LOL Great video Stay safe stay well
Watching at 2:59:42 and gritting my teeth seeing how close that thing looks to Katelyn's hand! It was definately scary!
Without teeth, Katelyn's Kirby looks like one of the Martians from The Muppets. (Yip Yip Yip Yip, Uh-Huh Uh-Huh).
You know, with those felting guns... you could do a Bob Ross painting with felt
I like Evans outfit
Hey Evan and Katelyn what if you guys made biodegradable plastic bags or water bottles?!
