Lol I just commented a similar comment. I said she should've made Alice turn into the Cheshire Cat but I do like your idea. She should've turned herself into Alice though and Joob into Cheshire and Evan into Mad Hatter.
@RheannaBanana I love that! One of all three to make a cute/spooky character of them in wonderland. One drink me one eat me and Alice with were all mad here!
I have the photo chromatic powder and a heat sensitive powder (I mixed into white/clear paint) and I made a magic wand using them! It looks like a plain white wand, but as you hold it the area where your hand is warms up and turns one color blue and then when you get it in the sun the rest of the wand reveals swirls and stars and stuff in another color blue/green! It's so fun and magical! I have it in what usually is an incense box but works perfectly as a wand box and if you open it on a warm sunny day it's *chef kiss*
@@EvanandKatelynUncut Oh! And the wand was super easy, just a chopstick, marble or bead and bead cap to make the end fancy and hot glue to make a thicker hand holding area. Then paint on top. Seems like it could be a fun project for you guys to try too!
I like how the sand on Evans painting creates a dimensional illusion where the sand goes from light to dark kinda looks like a cliff or steep edge down into the ocean.
Sand paints, a.k.a. textured paints, have been around for decades. I refurbished a Victorian home in Southern Indiana and painted the entire interior of the home with sandy textured paint. The walls were plaster, so it gave it a very warm, comfy feel that blended well with the style of the home. Works really well with a Tuscan design too.
Absolutely wild that I was watching the original DIY paint stream from 2 years ago just yesterday or the day before and then we get gifted with this 4+ hour stream! Love the uncut as always!
Just a canvas full of hair with a tiny little person popping out of the middle like 'help', lol. I actually kinda wanna see a little painting like that now
Hello, I'm an artist who uses glow pigments in just about everything I make, and what I've found is Martha Stewart glow in the dark finish is the BEST. It will glow bright in indirect light and gets super charged under UV.
I am moving to the US this July to be with my husband, and I've never been there before. I am so nervous, but your video came up and I feel slightly less anxious, because if people are like you there, I'll probably be okay. 😊 Thank you for the hope!
One trick I use for those tin twist-on lids if I think it needs to store for a while: add plastic wrap between so that it forms a sort of gasket when the lid twists on. The plastic will get a bit torn torn up, but that's ok.
You guys should use acrylic to mix paint on. It's so much easier to mix, and you don't find yourself losing paint as you mix it either. You could even use resin to make a custom mixing palette~♪
I've actually been using solar and heat-changing pigments, as well as glow-in-the-dark and black light pigments to make my paintings so that they're multiple paintings in one. It's been really fun! 😊
I think you guys would do those glass paintings so well too! Like the ones you do in backwards layers, kinda like some resin pours ;), but Ugh love both so much they look so good!!!
So fantastic, both of of them! And this whole stream was an example of why you need to trust the process... because honestly for the first part I really wondered what you'd end up with. So impressed! 🎉
Omg this Is adorable. The look on your faces when the paint turned yellow, like two kids on Christmas. Love y’all, I love painting, I love this stream. Thank you ❤️
Those both turned out great! 😍 You've both gotten much better with actually using your DIY paints. 😁👍 I do want to suggest to Katelyn that if she's going to mix a lot of a custom color for a background, like in her painting this time, to mix it in a little airtight paint pot (or at least a wet pallet with a lid) so you can seal it up when done and keep any leftover paint for patches and/or repair work while creating. Would have saved a bunch of remixing time. 😅 I was actually kinda hoping you'd do the quote in the Nueral White and then borrow Evan's "blood" glow paint to do the word "mad" and maybe also some on the tip of "Malice's" nails too but then I thought it wouldn't show up as well on the glowing background and was glad of the choice made, lol. BTW, did you know that the brand Let's Resin came out with a container mold that actually looks like a giant D&D dice? You might want to get one (or more) and possibly use it to make a storage container (or several) for your dice collection. It's really cool! 😎
Y'all should 3d print your favorite dnd characters or something loool. Or make a tiny map/board and find someone to dm on screen with y'all. I love dnd and I would absolutely dig watching you guys play lol.
Hi I just wanted to say thank you so much for creating this content It has made my life so much more enjoyable when you upload a video thank you so much for using your content for something great and inspiring people to do what they are scared to do I watch all of your videos every time you upload them I loved finally being able to watch the completely resin keyboard it was so amazing to see all of these ideas come to life thank you so much for being my inspiration❤️
You guys should make frames that have LED black lights around the edges so that you can turn them on and off and it'll glow from all sides and should be pretty even across the whole thing
That was so much fun! I saw like half an hour of the live and had to go, always glad to be able to catch up here! The painting both turned out amazing guys! Such a cool concept to make your own paint too!
Sand paint has been around for many many many years. Have been an art teacher for 27 years. I have bought it along with many other wonderful mixing mediums forever I've made all kinds of Saint paints and others my favorite is round tiny pebbles from the beach mixing green paint and you have natural-looking Moss to paint on panoramas. Liquitex has wonderful mixing medium products check them out. All kinds of mediums to look textured like all natural materials. Various kinds of snow and ice. You can mix spices etc into paint and get amazing textures.
I used Sand many times., first mixed with glue, also with paint, I had really heavy cliffs and cracked land, using regular beach sand. The best way was a layer of primer or paint then sprinkle on the sand where you want it, let dry and repeat., paint on top or matt varnish.
Sand paint was used a lot when I was just starting school, you’d do cross stitch, sand paint, water marbling stuff with paper dips and making rubber stamps for ink
Lol! Katelyn, you were cracking me up. Should I do this or that? I could do this, or that....Evan says - how bout this? You say, yeah, I could, but then this. He was being so patient with your indecision. I can be so much like this too, that's why it was making me laugh....also, I 100% feel you on- I like this art I made so much, I don't want to ruin it now!!! What you both made looks beautiful. Great job, as always. And thanks for the laugh. 😂💙
When you have a paint that's dried out, you can try adding an airbrush leveling/thinning agent. (Mr. Color products work best for me) Mix it in conservatively until you get a desired consistency. Your mixing machine will help tremendously with this process. Hope that helps! 👍
You might even want to add it into a different container, small glass bottles..or plastic bottles are fine, just find an appropriate size for what you're mixing.
I think it would be so cool to take these paints and apply them to every day items. It could even be useful to signal to someone this way are being exposed to UV outside. What if you carried a water bottle that changed color depending on the intensity of the UV rays? That would be so cool and useful! All this assuming UV light you used in the video is similar to the harmful UV rays of the sun.
This is the longest and most entertaining TH-cam video I have ever watched! I absolutely LOVE you guys! And I have to admit, I am completely OBSESSED with both of these pieces. I was curious if you guys would be willing to sell them?
where did you buy the glow pigments? usually when I look for it I can only find the tiny nail art containers, also would you maybe try color change (changes color in heat or UV light) pigments in any of your projects?
When I was a railway modelling kid, my miniature house making grandparents gave me a jar of grey paint with fine sand in it. Was very thick with the sand and perfect for a concrete texture. I think the medium they used was just grey acrylic, which is more like Katelyn's suggestion of colouring the sand paint here.
yesss i love your guises crafting streams so much i love to draw or paint while im watching as well so when you guise go in focus mode its not boring is hostilely so cool to watch yall's process
30:35 I had to pause the video, cuz I couldn't get over how cool the photochromic powder was. I spiraled 😵 into a 2ish hour pigment hole and bought not only photo-powder samples, but also chameleon and pearlescents- powder and drops... 🙃
You should make watercolors instead of acrylics, then when it dries out you can reactivate it. Swatch on white and black paint to evaluate opacity. I make my own calligraphy inks so I swatch them a bunch.
Evan and Kaitlyn really need to start playing Stardew valley. I feel like they would love it. I honestly love the game and I would genuinely love to watch it on the gaming channel
I made sand paint once. I painted the walls of my son's room to look like the turrets of a castle made of sandstone, and I mixed sand into the paint to give the sandstone texture.
Now I wanna see a joob painting that with uv light turns her into Cheshire to go with Alice!
Lol I just commented a similar comment. I said she should've made Alice turn into the Cheshire Cat but I do like your idea. She should've turned herself into Alice though and Joob into Cheshire and Evan into Mad Hatter.

CHESHIRE JOOBIE
That final reveal of Alice after inking is so cool! And I love the way the waves turned out on Evan's painting!

ALMOST 5 HOURS OF CONTENT!??! HECK YES!! I WAS JUST DIAGNOSED WITH COVID AND ITS REALLY UNCOMFY SO THIS IS DEFINITELY MAKING IT BETTER!!!
Diverticulitis here but this is also perfect. Sicko couch pals unite
Oh no! Get well soon! I got covid post surgery and I swear my diet was yoghurt, salted potato based foods and tea
hope you feel better soon!
I hope you heal up real quick
Hey I'm so sorry you're sick and i wish you quick recovery ❤
These are hands down my favorite type of streams. Relaxed, mildly chaotic but unstressful crafting 😄
a hotdog painting with “suddenly mustard” would be awesome.
I second this.
Just ✨YES✨
Yess
However, the daylight painting would likely be a hotdog with white sauce on it.. 🤔 not that type of channel 😂😂
@@laurawhitehouse7946 😳yea probably not the best design idea unless its clear to yellow

I love that the white glow pigment is actually labeled Neurtal white, idk why that amuses me so much but I can’t stop saying neurtal and giggling
Lol me too 😂
It would be so cool if you would slo-mo the mixing of the UV pigments! I bet that would look amazing!
OMG that would be amazing, we'll try to do that if we mix more pigments!
I think that the satisfaction of those visuals would be surprisingly high, kinda like those stock videos of swirling powders and liquids.
@@EvanandKatelynUncut could be good as Shorts for the channel
Katelyn's picture goes from disney style to creepypasta. I love it

I wanna see a joobie painting but when you shine the uv light on it her eyes will glow and then behind her is a portal to the cat dimension
I put sand, and salt, in paint to build texture for both paintings and decor. Baking soda works as well, especially with chalk paint!
You guys killed it once again these paintings look beyond phenomenal if that is a thing. They look so good I can't stop smiling while looking at them.
