Hey guys you should check out the properties of your camera sources as there is usually a setting somewhere for camera's with mic's to record both audio and visual, this can as you can imagine create an echo effect. Edit: 1:06:13 you should totally add that moment to the Timestamps as THE FIX.
tidal islands are totally a thing, so the submerged islands arent weird at all - this clock is just at high tide! the trees can be mangrove trees or something. anyway this is gorgeous and it would be fun to see y’all do more miniature stuff like this if you find it fun!
You need to read the Abarat book series. It takes place in a world where each island is a different hour of the day. There is a 3 PM island, a midnight island. A 6 am island.
I love them so much, but whenever I recommend them, I have to give the word of caution that you need patience if you read them. And to always read the hardcover versions so you get to see the art.
@@e.g.2261 The seconds hand is not important to read the time since these analog clocks aren't accurate anyway. You would still notice the seagull because it's moving.
I would still love to see a fully resin chessboard and chess pieces from y'all. The pieces could have those wireless LEDs and the board could have a copper coil hidden in it so the pieces light up while in play and then when they are slain the light goes out!

@@captainjotunheim1656 of course they are both good at artistic and crafy stuff. I didn't want to downplay their talent. I noticed Katelyn seems to do the design for a lot of their projects. I think she was a graphic designer too?
In the sense of geology this is a huge volcano that blew up and collapse back into the sea except for a ring of small island that marked the original mountain/caldera and then over a passage of a hundred years or so the center island grew up in the crater in the center and grew above the waves.
As a cool suggestion, you could use mod podge or clear silicone caulking over hardened resin to create really nice water effects and then lightly dry brush the tips with white to create the crashing waves. This clock is beautiful and would totally buy it!!
Watching miniature making is very satisfying. Miniature-makers look like gods shaping the existence of a new world. Such an interesting effect. You can almost see the miniature inhabitants venerating their benefactors. This turned out beautiful.
Here’s a nice trick for adding rock texture to plaster/clay: crumple up a ball of aluminum foil and push it lightly into the surface as much as you want. Works way better than we can achieve with a brush.
Love to see a epic d&d dice tray made like this with a top down view of a dragon breathing fire over a fortress and micro leds to light up appropriate areas!
Now whatever time it is, you can just point to the clock and say "it's Island Time" (meaning sort of joyfully relaxed vibes for scheduling events, like "it'll happen when it happens, let's take it as it comes 😎")
Absolutely gorgeous!!! And the gull flying so fast over the tiny islands just gives it the look of height and space! This might be my favorite of all time

huh, an island formation like this makes me think of a huge underwater volcano, the outer islands are the rim, and the middle island is where the magma/lava boils up.
When I'm making something with plaster of paris, I put it in a snack or sandwich bag, and pipe it where I want it. Then I adjust it as needed. It gives you more control. 😊

Their take on resin 3d printing makes a lot of sense. It's a kinda involved proccess, which can be enjoyable as a hobby in it's own right, but I can see it as a bit of a hassle if you aren't into it for it's own sake. It's also suited to making small extremely detailed objects, like for a miniatures hobby, more than functional bits. I just printed a velociraptor model that can stand on a fingertip and has tiny needle teeth I can barely see without a magnifying glass. With a $150 printer. But making something like a box is a hassle for a fragile result.

The clock turned out gorgeous, you outshined the mockup by a mile. 😍 I wish I could buy a clock like this, would spend the big bucks. 💸 My favourite touch is the seagull (though I personally would have gone with the painted version as it looks a bit more realistic), another fun thing would have been to add a little boat to another hand.

Evan!!! I had a really bad herniated disc! Herniated L5S1 and pinched off my sciatic nerve (resulting in permanent sciatic damage). I did PT for 2-3 yrs., tried acupuncture + chiropractors, and had a failed epidural (pushed my disc out a further 3mm). But I got it fixed in an extremely simple, same-day surgery! I had been on disability for 3 years, muscles atrophied, and I literally walked out of the hospital mere hours after my procedure. *Please* - ask a specialist what other options you may have! You could save yourself so much pain and reduce the risk of further damage. My surgery was almost covered entirely by my insurance, so I would definitely say that it's worth exploring! ❤ P.S. PT will still be necessary, after surgery, but it's a world apart from how it was *before* my surgery.
Suggestion to give Evan [and Katelyn] another paint involved project with texture, since he's enjoying it such much, is to check out Gaffery heavy texture acrylic paint. You can literally sculpt with it. ❤
This turned out amazing! The texture from the plaster is just perfect. I'd love to see the outside border/frame match the clock-hands but I am not sure how you'd achieve that.
A tip guys, in the UK modelling glue is alot stronger than you think. Working on this scale, you are better off just using the tweezers to dip things in a drop of glue or I use a needle nose bottle for my crafts. That way you aren't fighting with the glue and your tweezers stay clean. Faster and more accurate. First time here though, very interesting and I'll be back!!😂

My goodness you guys this turned out absolutely gorgeous!!! Honestly one of the best things you have made ever. I also really love the format of the livestream giant craft. Where you are both working on one really amazing thing almost start to finish. I know this was a lot of work for you all and I don’t expect it often but i’m excited to hopefully see some more big streams like this.
My "speeding down a hill" story - it was my little sister, wildly out of control on her bike and couldn't remember how to pedal backwards to slow down. There was a 6ft deep canal at the bottom of the hill so I shot my arm out and caught her handlebars. We both crashed to the ground, I still have a little scar on my hand, but she didn't end up in the canal! She remembers it too, says she was mad at me until she was old enough to realize what the alternative was!! We were so wild back then haha
I had a similar moment with my sister but instead we were flying down a hill on our bikes, which was something we were doing for the first time. We both turned to go into our neighbors driveway going full speed but ended up with one back tire and one front tire smacking into each other because I was goofing around, it brought both bikes to a screeching halt. We both got thrown and ended up getting all cut up, I scraped up my hand and knee and I can't remember what happened to her but she was so mad at me. We had to slowly make our way back up the hill to our house and I think a family member had to go and fetch both bikes.
I want you both to make your own separate from each other eventually and maybe surprise each other with the landscape and water type you guys pick to do 👀 please
This Project is fantastic! And i just want to call attention to just how quickly it came together!! Like how? It just goes to show just how skilled E&K are! 2:02:00 Ps: i'm sorry to be so pedantic but i will explode if i don't mention thar an Arpegio (are-*peh-gee-oh) is the musical term and Archipelago (are-ki-*pel*-a-go) is the cluster of islands. 2:09:19 Pps: I'm not an ornithologist, but a bird that big flying constantly like that... looks like an Albatros to me! They can live for years out at sea, so people used to think they flew without landing the whole time, turns out they can only (only!?) fly for like 24 hours straight before they land. Still, that's a lot! And their wingspan is longer than humans are tall! Birds are cool.
I knew Evan was an engineer, but I don't know how I never knew Katelyn was a graphic designer. That is so awesome. They make the perfect pair for all of these projects!
Wow, that is amazing!!! Few sharks, or some other creature more active at night, painted using glow in the dark paint would elevate this piece of art even further! 😃

We seem very similar to ya'll and that makes my day. We always enjoy your videos no matter what's going on in our lives. Thank you Evan and Katelyn for everything. Have a nice day :)
You were recording from two mics when on overhead. We could hear your lepel mics, and the camera mic. The camera mic didn't include the delay that your lepel mics have. So it's not a delay it's a double input.
This looks so good! So proud of y’all.🥲🖤
OMG! That is AMAZING!
Idk if it’s just me but I like when Evan talks about techy stuff b/c I know nothing about it but I wanna do stuff like this in the future so it’s nice to know~
Revision all day then falling asleep to e&k sounds perfect :D
Have you guys ever thought of making a whirlpool resin sculpture or something related?
My goodness you guys this turned out absolutely gorgeous!!! Honestly one of the best things you have made ever. I also really love the format of the livestream giant craft. Where you are both working on one really amazing thing almost start to finish. I know this was a lot of work for you all and I don’t expect it often but i’m excited to hopefully see some more big streams like this.
i clicked on this without realizing it was uncut LMAO i'm in for 3+ hours of fun i guess
oh this turned out so beautiful. glad i could watch part of it on stream
I've been watching you guys for a long time. My butt is from Chicago!
This is amazing! The finished clock gives me vacation feelings!
Yay! Another uncut!! I will have something to watch while animating!!!
Strongly suggest, if you buy a clock movement buy the silent ones. The ticking from a regular clock may drive you as crazy as they do me.
I would totally watch a video of you guys setting up for a live stream with details and geek speak.
As a graphic designer, can confirm the Council of Graphic Designers met and we all agree Katelyn is correct. The Council has spoken.
Watching this while doing my math hw. Y’all make factoring square roots bearable.
Turned out incredible!!!! ( despite all the hardships lol)
I knew Evan was an engineer, but I don't know how I never knew Katelyn was a graphic designer. That is so awesome. They make the perfect pair for all of these projects!
Oh resin time, resin time do do doot resin time
Wow, that is amazing!!! Few sharks, or some other creature more active at night, painted using glow in the dark paint would elevate this piece of art even further! 😃
