At 22:05, How do you remove that style of wrist pin on the high pressure piston? does it have pin plugs on the ends? That's what mine looks like and I don't want to cause damage when trying to remove the pin.

No it does not have end plugs. There are 2 different ways Quincy does pin retention. 1 the old style has a screw in from the bottom with a cotter pin. 2 the new style has a snap ring in the pin boss hole, each end.
Let me know if I can help.

Those side sealer rings are great. They really seem to control oil pump-up. But they are not fun to install. One thing that would make these jobs a bit easier would be to have a pair of extra bolts with the heads cut off. It will help to hold the gasket and guide the cylinder home. Only turn them in enough to hold since you only have finger tip access to remove them.

      Agreed on the rings.
I do have some guide bolts made but I keep them in the service truck which never seems to be here on the days we shoot. longer pieces of all thread work well also.

Did you have to gap the rings

I do not check ring gaps unless we are over sizing and that is kinda rare anymore.

Had a question on a 325 13 series. After about 5 minutes of running, crankcase builds up so much pressure the dipstick shoots out about 20 ft in the air. Any ideas? Thanks. Really enjoy your videos and knowledge.

I suspect you may need a rings job or the breather tube from the crank to the head may be clogged. there is a "plastic" ball in the crank case that may be the problem.
you may contact me through thecompressorguru.com
I think I can help you with this.

I fought the rings like this on a 210. Finally installed a ring compressor and loaded from the top, easy as pie. Those rod inserts are beautiful. Did you torque the rod bolts? I missed that part.

Yes I did torques the rods. when editing it get tough picking the stuff that needs taught and keeping the video short enough to keep people attention. there are a bunch of things we film that never get in( me looking for where i layed a wrench LOL) this episode went 39 minutes and part of the analytics of youtube are do people watch to the end or how many minutes of each video they watch. we live in a society of short attention.

the cyl walls were in good shape and only needed honed to brake the glaze.
