Thank you . I am working on a 2545 and I am going to try the hot oil and the never seize on the crank. I think we can make an episode out of it . thank for the idea and thanks for the Tip. I have been shopping for the 4K camera I think I found what we are going to do.
Thanks for mentioning the ultrasonic washer and the dangers of handling solvents & chemicals. I always wondered if there were long term effects to all the brake clean and solvents that got absorbed through my hands for all these years
I am looking at buying an old Ingersol Rand compressor. It is a ingersol rand type 30 compressor 4 & 2-1/2" x 2-3/4" not sure what the size is or cfm, Mabe you could advise me regarding any details.Do you keep genuine parts for this model and how much would parts cost for a rebuild if required?
I think this is a model 242. I have kits for these both OEM and aftermarket. many of the parts I have aftermarket come out of the very same factory as the aftermarket comes from. check out this video th-cam.com/video/BvQg2XI9Hdk/w-d-xo.html you may contact me through thecompressorguru.com I would be glad to give you pricing.
@@THECompressorGuru I live in England. The compressor has a 3hp fitted 1435 rpm-How much cfm wold you think it would produce and is there any way of getting it to produce more . The tank test date 21 5 55 so I asume it is 1955 fitted dia 20 inch length 48 inch thickness 3/8 inch
@@adrianwhitworth2183 That pump can run 900RPM and use a 5HP motor. then it will make about 15+ cfm at 175psi. as for the tank please watch this video. th-cam.com/video/-y8ujgzM94c/w-d-xo.html I dont ship overseas unless you have a DHL account and make the arrangements. I don't quote pices on youtube I looked up the cost of an aftermarket I can get you current cost of OEM on monday.
@@THECompressorGuru Thanks for your help. I am in the looking stage at the moment and basically learning more about the different models that may be of interest to me. In the UK for home use sourcing single phase motors above three hp can be a slight problem. I have a prefference for the older type machinery. I had a chance to buy what looked like a really nice original 2-4 -2 model but the woman I was in contact with couldn't seem to answer any details about the compressor due to this it appears some one else bought it and I am still pretty disapointed as I did not know exactly what model it was.. However I have two more in my sights the one I mentioned recently and now model 253, what hp motor would be required for a 253 and what CFM free air delivery would it produce? Are there any books with the relevent info that you could recommend, all this research brought me to your interesting videos-thanks again
Thank you, Bud and Friends (Val and Scott)🎉. Learn something new every day 🎉.
