Doing this made it so I can't find a few NPCs for quests. Does taking the lift break the quests or something (sacred seal step)? I've gotten the sword before and all the NPCs were still there but going to get the golden seal made Alexander not be in his first spot.
Tip for following routes like this. Look at his compass and not his exact path. For instance: In the Academy Village, he moves Northwest to the Golden Tree. Then he goes North Northeast to the gazebo to teleport. Makes following paths much easier.
@@phatboywill3029 after a couple of hits a huge damage suddenly appear due to blood damage. But the weapon should say in it's description that cause blood damage.
For those who are not able to bloody hit the dragon. It's because you don't have the necessary dext to use the Katana. You have to equip the Radaga Soreseal talisman. He will increase your attributes and you will be able to use the Katana

@@jzayas5698 yeah I haven't done much story just trying to build my character. I'm more of a tank at the moment. Trying to upgrade the Faith portion. I found lightening spells but am unsure of how to use them. Also thinking I might go dragon incantation/ pyro build as I can do fire spells and have killed a dragon.
This guide is awesome. I get very little play time working full time and having to wait for 3 rug rats to go to sleep at night to get my 2-3 hours of play time in . Now I can feel like I'm accomplishing something and the lack of sleep in getting worth it. Haha thx man !
Have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to the incantations, but the guide for the most part is amazing. Been running around with the build and it does insane damage!
There's a free +6 Somber for those not interested in the boss fight once you're up near the Altus Plateau: head to the northern section and make your way into Mt. Gelmir's road. Almost right away you'll see Iron Maidens but importantly on the left, a ladder. Climb the ladder, hug the left at the top, and you'll come to a dude in a chair w/ a free Somber 6. Great guide!
@@supply2899 The video covers getting to the Altus Plataeu - you need two Dectus Medallions, then take the Great Lift of Dectus. There's another way, but it involves a dungeon, bosses, and enemies probably a bit rough for early levels. 10:50 covers getting one half of the medallions, while 15:10 covers the other, as well as getting to the Lift in Liurnia. Once there, you'll need to follow the road that goes north and loops west into Mt. Gelmir, instead of East toward the capital. Notably, roads are on the maps even if you don't have the map fragments. You know you're going the right way once the ground changes from gold to black ash. Then you're at the battlements with the Iron Maidens and ladder on the left wall I covered originally. Climb the ladder, hug the left, and the stone is yours. :)
Just some constructive criticism. It may be easier for people to follow along if instead of saying follow my path, you used the cardinal directions on the compass. It might help too be more specific about locations and directions from locations. Like from the Laskyar ruins site of grace, head west until you get to the lakeside crystal cave where there is another site of grace just inside. Instead of go here, follow my path this way, and turn right. The compass is extremely helpful
He did this alot and got just as much criticism from that video ....if u want to follow the compass nothing is stopping you it's literally at the top of the screen the whole time
I can't see how him literally running the whole path is less beneficial than the map, and he does show his starting location on map every time I believe, can't confirm though since I already have all of the items... I've seen map routes and through some areas they're plainly stupid (some terrain is just really hard or sometimes impossible to navigate)... just use the yutub feature of slowing down the playtime to half or even quarter speed and walk it through with him.
For Fallingstar: Learn to run directly to him, when you enter immediately summon a high aggro spirt like Oleg (shockingly easy to get), keep at max range, only attack when he appears focused on Oleg, use rock sling or L2 + R1 with this sword.

Side Note: Your damage might not match what is shown in the video. This will come down to which starting class you pick, which states you wish to level, random odds of crit hits, and the fact a later patch might come out and nerf some of gear/spells shown.
Couple tips for making a guide like this increase your brightness to Max for dark rooms or use a torch. And occasionally when showing the location that you're moving to pop open the map allows people to better follow where you're going cuz if they already have found those locations they could just go there and go from that spot instead of following along not knowing where the heck you're at. And I know a lot of you guys make these guides have to fit a lot of content in a small space of time but just a suggestion when you're at the location and it's just in the area don't accelerate the time or the pace of the game just go normal makes following along a 100x easier.
okay so i just started ER this weekend and followed this guide. everything still works. SONAF is nerfed but still good if anyone sorting by newest comments wants to know. for those of you having trouble following after getting the skeleton armour section this is what he does: 1. get the second half of the medallion for the dectus lift at fort haight west 2. use it to get to altus plateau where you get the golden seal 3. get the demi god ashes from boss in the impaler catocombs on weeping penninsula 4. get the flame of frenzy incantation from Callu Baptismal Church in the Weeping Peninsula. 5. get the flame give me strength incantation from caelid (the left side of the castle behind the 2 fire breathing machines) and if anyone wants to try (i saw a video after unfortunately) right after you kill the dragon if you use the grace fast enough behind you at the fort/castle (use the horse) the dragon will respawn and you can farm more runes. thanks OP!!! subbed!
You can still do the witches quest line even if you don’t talk to her in the beginning . So if anyone missed it you’ll be fine I’m still doing her quest line and bought the bell and doggos from the husk merchant
to be fair, exploring the game with prior knowledge of smithing stone locations up to +7 trivializes every piece of content from limgrave to altus. better to get at least one playthough first where you struggle in the earlier areas
If it wasnt for this guide a few months ago I would have never gotten deep in this game. Now im currently level 206 and 124 hrs in trying to get everything and go through every grass before doing ng+. Tysm
This is great and I will be following this guide later tonight! There is an easier option for a bleed weapon though - there is a Morning Star located in The Weeping Peninsula on the main road, right after the Bridge of Sacrifice. It's in a chest inside a broken wagon.

Have a partner and in the time since Elden was released have had : 1 birthday dinner, saw Batman in the cinema, 1 Birthday Event, 1 Birthday Lunch, caught up with a mate as well and also saw the partner every day. All while working as well. The only thing that is hurting is my sleeping. GIT GUD
For everyone struggling with the invader encounter: I got stomped too, so make sure to jump to the upgrade weapon step first and make it at least +3 (the weapon art will scale from D to C with int/faith which is significant). Doing this made the encounter definitely manageable for me and could kill him first try after the upgrade.

If bleed is not working for you, equip the "Radagon's Soreseal" Tailsman you get just before taking on the dragon. That part wasn't mentioned in the video. Praise the Tailsman!
Just wanted to say right before you reach the dragon coming out of the room with the double doors if you go either in the middle or closer to the left there another golden seed
you could also get the golden scarab in caelid. its a tough boss fight, but if you grab the cleanse incantation it makes traversing that area much easier. i belive it gives extra 1/4th runes per kill.
several parts you wizzed by too quick. To get the radagan stone, you need to jump diagonally right then run around the corner then drop down. quickly snag the stone since the rats will one shot you. The first part was very confusing without stops to reference the map. eventually I figured it out. took me about 3 hours since i died a whole lot more than you did.
You essentially have to be either an Astrologer or Confessor in order to be able to level up to reach the sword's requirements after killing the giant dragon. I tried a Samurai, which allowed me to skip the uchigitana quest, but I still ended up about 5 points short in int/faith to reachs the reqs.
That Seal is exactly what i was looking for. There is a staff with similar attributes and i really want to use both faith and intelligence. This build is a little more on the faith side, while fextras build was a little more on the intelligence side. But thats okay, it was a very good video. Straight to the point and enjoyable overall.
I just love how you say it's so easy for the boss but im literally barely able to get over there to him to actually fight... I've tried for the last 2 hours...
there is a golden rune [12] in the fort where you get the talisman, straight on instead of jumping the gap to the right. gives around 7500 runes i think
@@august_619 I believe that’s at 11:07. After you drop down, go straight instead of breaking the barricade to the immediate right. It’ll be on the edge of the catwalk. There’s a giant rat hidden behind a barrel to your left; beware. Hope it helps
Neat build and cool that you found all of this. So, first of all, thanks for your effort putting this together! Two pieces of advice for bettering your instructional method of your video however: 1) Turn up your brightness. I can't see anything when it's night or you are indoors, and since you say "follow my path" and then speed through whipping around left and right and making me dizzy since you don't face the right way all the time, brightness will help me get my bearings after the dizzying spinning around. Otherwise, I don't know which way you choce because I just can't see anything but a wall of black. 2) You should offer key points to the journey other than just "follow my path" because some of these paths are confusing, and they way you spin the camera constantly makes it continuously hard to keep track of which direction you are heading. Keep a constant bearing and make comments like "be sure to jump here", "follow this road then turn right before the cliffs", "jump down the hole, and make sure to jump to the other platform, and behind the wall is a big rat and a ladder, jump down the ladder and that's where you'll find the talisman." They help provide key instruction during confusing parts. Anyways, I hope you continue to improve your instructional style. Here's some great content, and as you improve your delivery, I'm excited to see what other cool secrets I can find from your videos!
There's two level 5 somber stones on the floor directly across the walkway from the level 4 stone so you don't have to waste time getting the other level 5 stone
one thing that could be added to this is getting the golden scareb to get even more of a boost to the runes from killing the dragon. but you have to kill the twin bosses and get threw the rot and poison tunal so maybe not right away
Been struggling to find a good build and this has been fun, hard and interesting to do. Loads of fun and getting some dragon hearts for new spells is a nice bonus as well. 9/10 though because at the end I had no idea where to go

Someone invaded me with this exact build today. I knew what to expect, but even after leaving him one shot through all of his flasks, he still one shot me before I could get him.

@@rodneyrondags9664 It might have something to do with class stats as well, but I was maybe 15 or 16? I got the first stat up to 24 but only made it up to 14 on faith.

I just wanted to point out something for the armor section of the video. If you play on the 1.0 version of the game (you need a physical copy) the pot that is secretly an NPC is not a pot in the 1.0 version. It is a stone statue of a hooded praying woman. But it works the exact same as it does in later versions. And honestly, if you listen to all of his dialogue, it makes much more sense for him to be a statue than a pot. Just wanted to point that out :) There’s a lot of neat differences in the 1.0 version compared to the updated versions. Lots of items are named differently, and almost no item is where the wiki or any tutorial says it should be, lol. Makes a playthrough painful. But I like to think that it’s the intended experience lmao
If you need help about equipping the radagons soreseal I GOTCHUUU !! had the exact same issue but when you get it go to equipment then to the single slot right below your armour and right above the flasks and itll be there :)

Thanks, dedicated 3 hours to doing this guide and I beat margit first try in 3 minutes. I was trying all day yesterday with a simple build, vagabond sword and shield. Furthest I got yesterday was 75 percent health left on margit
Does this build only aplicable for astrologer? To use the op sword? Because im using vagabond and when i finally reached the requirements for the sword i cant use the flame and the kamekameha thingy.
Great video! For people that are doing this recently, I'd recommend that instead of using the Uchigatana, use the Morningstar, as it gave the bleed damage that the Uchigatana wasn't giving me.
@@w00dani An update came out soon after this was posted to nerf the sword and I’m pretty sure it buffed the invader too. Because I did it with my first character no problem, but my second character was a struggle and a half to beat him

I did this and after all that. Getting the sword and killing the dragon and stuff and upgrading i was not able to use the sword like that.. so was a little butt hurt lol Im sure it was because my starting class was a samurai, still got to lvl up some stats to get it to that point…

11:07 a very tricky part is to obtain Radagon's Soreseal, it is guarded heavily, died around 20 in the Fort there Plus, the video is dark and it was not clear where to go
@@uhsteve after you jump down the hole there is a big rat and an opening to the bottom floor. If you look to the right there is another room that you have to jump to. It has a big rat in it. Get by the big rat and there is a hole to drop down with sore seal. You can only access it this way
@@yackouille5287 you have to go to the deathtouched catacombs. Follow the exact route he shows. You Will die quickly otherwise. Get the uchigatana and die there
Nice, op but seems fun. You could do fort Haight and kill the knight with the blood blade echantment to get that instead of an uchigatana. The second (first) part of the elevator seal is also there. You got the other in caedia. Might ease further process
In my experience, FromSoft doesn't nerf stuff. Basically, this is sequence-breaking, which is essentially one of the draws of their games. It's awesome, and I love it! Thanks for the guide. This is great! Having fun with the early build so far :)
@@apackhorse no we’re talking about dark souls 2 haha not elden ring. I got this build online today and it is def not nerfed. It does take a ton of skill to use as the animations are crazy long
From here you should grab the Meteorite Staff; obtain Radagon Icon; defeat Rennala to gain another talisman pouch from Enia; obtain Ancient Death Rancor from Death Rite Bird near Gatetown; raise your INT to 34; and then equip/memorize the above items. Ancient Death Rancor makes trolls flinch and deals poise damage to big enemies like dragons. Either of which will make using Sword of Night and Flame's skills that much less of a hassle. Plus it's a death spell, and you're wearing death-related getup, so... Also 50+ each INT and FAI should be high enough for Prince of Death's Staff to outperform other glintstone staffs, at least with with death sorceries.
I think it's awesome that you can get powerful weapons without killing bosses. Now I can use the weapons to kill those bosses instead of getting them after they are all dead.
Definitely a powerful build but very very prone to deaths since these spells take enormous amounts of time to cast and you cant move while casting. Also, its hard to get good hits against units that are mobile because you cant re-aim these spells, only in the very last second before releasing. Another note - the beam attack (single target) appears to be far more effective on most bosses than the flame sweep (FAN AOE) Be ready to invest a lot of time and patience to follow this guide unless you've beat the game and already memorized the map.
It’s a bad guide tbh. Didn’t pause on the map so the players would have some idea where they’re at. Then didn’t explain how to leave the mines. All around is for players who are real familiar with the game.
@@Forrest_Trump i mean not really since most people will play for an hour or 2 before searching how to get op very very early on. In that time frame you can probably figure out + it's easy to tell mines are like dungeons in other games, most games don't let you fast travel out. He shows the map where you can pause yourself lol?
Very helpful Guide. When I first started didn't know really what class to use as I thought Samurai was a pretty good start...little did I know my Katana isn't really helpful. I run out of arrows and apparently cost MP. Didn't know where to refill arrows for large part of game. 😅 Spent runes in strength and endurance to carry more shit which is strange considering I wasn't even close to limit, and my characters ass was heavy. Then trying to learn spells was a hassle cos I recently learned I needed to get scrolls? Find someone or something? Not too mention, some bosses were annoying to kill. I died 20times against some bods just to get his sword and lost runes. 🤣 So I said fuck it. Let's start over. This was very helpful. Thank you so much.

This is actually not tru after killing the second demi god on all my playthroughs she hasn't showed up ....obviously this is late for some people but I have tested it a few times
Appreciate the guide but sorry to nitpick. If you make more videos can you consider slowing down the footage when you’re in maze like/dark spaces. The Fort Faroth portion was a night because it’s pretty hard to tell what you’re doing in there. Thanks.
Great guide, although as I am doing this early-ish game, I didn't have enough runes to level up Faith to level 24 after killing the dragon. I only managed to get it to level 10. The next upgrade cost 10k runes. Damn my rotten luck. Guess I gotta grind for a while.
Probably because you have already levelled up some stats rather than going straight from the beginning. I’m having the same issue. It’s gets more and more expensive each time
Yea man, has always been ez mode, and in elden ring it is very very ez mode. Most of the hardest bosses go down in 30 secs once you get the 70 int spell, don't know why people would ruin the game for themselves but to each their own.
@@philipevary8470 Maybe because it isn’t ruining the game for them? Different people get different things from games and some just enjoy exploring and looking at the world design without being challenged. Personally I think all Souls games should have an easy mode for that reason, an alternative experience for the people who enjoy different parts of the games.
Question? Do you have to boost Faith to increase the fire attack damage? I noticed you mentioned attack rating but i'm still a bit confused on how it works 😅
Not entirely sure how you suddenly were able to use the bleed on the katana it's still not efficient for me because I only have the *right side of the talisman* maybe? I'm a bit lost here. Can't kill the dragon because of it
@@phatboywill3029 found the problem after he loots the talisman half he says now go die. But what the video shows is him running and grabbing another talisman that will give him the proper stats needed
I would not recommend to kill the Fallingstar Beast at this level. There is one SOMBER SMITHING STONE [6] is in south of the First Mt. Gelmir Campsite, on a body sat on a chair overlooking the edge with a wolf sat next to them. Anyway this build is kinda ok, not too strong. I found out that I prefer the beam attack more than the flame. Bosses and normal mobs will still 1-2 shot you though.
There's a lot of pretty easy ways to farm a few hundred thousand runes, even if you aren't doing something super cheesy. You can still do it. Don't feel like you have to give up the character. Or just re-roll and you'll power through in no time. Best of luck.
@@newlgh appreciate it, I deff am keeping the build I have now im exploring the boulder and I got faith up to level 18 in about 30 minutes of play time, almost there man it'll be a plus to weild the sword with my strength at 20 as well so im all for it
It's broken. I was using it with 50 Fth and 50 Int and it's actually removing the challenge from a lot of bosses so I stopped. Kamehameha your way to victory if you fancy it.
aows scale off weapon, and the weapon is primarily int/faith. going by fextra at +10 they're both B scaling. as far as endgame idk what constitutes endgame as I haven't made it that far. I've seen someone take about 1/6th of radahn hp i think, with the beam. idk if that's good or not, nor they're upgrade level. I do think they'll fall off compared to a weapon that can upkeep dps better
I'm about 50 hours in and beaten most of the story bosses. It stays very strong. Only real issue you may run into is someone who's very resistant to magic.
No you guys are capping all those dragon skills require a dragon heart to killing that dragon is the easiest way to get them please double check ur info a quick video search will prove u wrong
Thank you for your great work here! The build is great, I’d just hope in future guides we can get more specific locations rather than just “go here”, some map markers pointing where were going, and a list of item names. I still don’t know what incantation the last part of the video is talking about because you never mentioned the name, and you pointed at a site of grace but I went there and there’s no incantation there.
I'll look for that later. yeah, he didn't say the name. If it's the "flame grant me strength" mentioned at the beginning, I finally found that in the Gaol castle he shows in the picture. Just do the cave and the castle and you'll run into it.
A little thing I did was change the stats at 125 to 40vig 25mind 32endurance 18strength 19dex 40int 33faith 22arcane. That gives you a bit more freedom to use differ t weapon types as wall as sorcery’s
I started as pure mage, dabbled into spellblade and yday I made this one at level 120 and it's absolutely broken. With Mimic tear +10 and all other end game equipment even the "hardest" endgame optional bosses become a joke. This build is broken to a point that's i'm not even sure it's fun, cause all bosses become trivial and it kinda takes the charm out of a souls game.
What about doing bosses solo without summoning mimic tear +10 ? The bosses will just smack you while you take your sweet charging that weapon art. Then its not completely broken is it ? If you are summoning then you are not legitimately beating the boss , takes away most of the challenge. If you are summoning anyway , even without this op build bosses can be beaten easily.
I’ve been avoiding the so called “noob weapons” ever since launch so now I’m starting a new character just make a build for this sword and then I’m going to try the rest of them.
Ah yes get op in under 2 hours if you dont count the perquisites you need to complete it. Like I'm having a hard time getting to the flame give me strength with just the shrine's he showed how to get. It feels like halfway through he just gave up and just gave the bare bones info. The first half was so descriptive and easy to follow the second half was completely fucked.
Sword of Knight and Flame is amazing, but it's arguably pointless to stack your intel if you're building a faith pally. If you stack early on, you'll have to defeat Rennala before you can reset your stats for different weapons and no points in intel, which is going to take a long time.
It’s the first time I play this kind of game. Never played any soul. I’m level 29, after like 15hours of play, and I keep getting myself killed over and over by nearly any mob. Enemies that would take me 4 minutes to kill you wipe them with two shots !!! Wow 😮 now I see what I did wrong. Thank you.

Doing this made it so I can't find a few NPCs for quests. Does taking the lift break the quests or something (sacred seal step)? I've gotten the sword before and all the NPCs were still there but going to get the golden seal made Alexander not be in his first spot.

Tip for following routes like this. Look at his compass and not his exact path. For instance: In the Academy Village, he moves Northwest to the Golden Tree. Then he goes North Northeast to the gazebo to teleport. Makes following paths much easier.

@@phatboywill3029 after a couple of hits a huge damage suddenly appear due to blood damage. But the weapon should say in it's description that cause blood damage.
For those who are not able to bloody hit the dragon. It's because you don't have the necessary dext to use the Katana.
You have to equip the Radaga Soreseal talisman. He will increase your attributes and you will be able to use the Katana

There's a free +6 Somber for those not interested in the boss fight once you're up near the Altus Plateau: head to the northern section and make your way into Mt. Gelmir's road. Almost right away you'll see Iron Maidens but importantly on the left, a ladder. Climb the ladder, hug the left at the top, and you'll come to a dude in a chair w/ a free Somber 6.

@@supply2899 The video covers getting to the Altus Plataeu - you need two Dectus Medallions, then take the Great Lift of Dectus. There's another way, but it involves a dungeon, bosses, and enemies probably a bit rough for early levels. 10:50 covers getting one half of the medallions, while 15:10 covers the other, as well as getting to the Lift in Liurnia.
Once there, you'll need to follow the road that goes north and loops west into Mt. Gelmir, instead of East toward the capital. Notably, roads are on the maps even if you don't have the map fragments. You know you're going the right way once the ground changes from gold to black ash. Then you're at the battlements with the Iron Maidens and ladder on the left wall I covered originally. Climb the ladder, hug the left, and the stone is yours. :)
Just some constructive criticism. It may be easier for people to follow along if instead of saying follow my path, you used the cardinal directions on the compass. It might help too be more specific about locations and directions from locations. Like from the Laskyar ruins site of grace, head west until you get to the lakeside crystal cave where there is another site of grace just inside. Instead of go here, follow my path this way, and turn right. The compass is extremely helpful
If he shpwed us the map for half th vtime we got to see Torrents ass...wed get everywhere much easier.
He did this alot and got just as much criticism from that video ....if u want to follow the compass nothing is stopping you it's literally at the top of the screen the whole time

I can't see how him literally running the whole path is less beneficial than the map, and he does show his starting location on map every time I believe, can't confirm though since I already have all of the items... I've seen map routes and through some areas they're plainly stupid (some terrain is just really hard or sometimes impossible to navigate)... just use the yutub feature of slowing down the playtime to half or even quarter speed and walk it through with him.

For Fallingstar: Learn to run directly to him, when you enter immediately summon a high aggro spirt like Oleg (shockingly easy to get), keep at max range, only attack when he appears focused on Oleg, use rock sling or L2 + R1 with this sword.

Side Note: Your damage might not match what is shown in the video. This will come down to which starting class you pick, which states you wish to level, random odds of crit hits, and the fact a later patch might come out and nerf some of gear/spells shown.

Couple tips for making a guide like this increase your brightness to Max for dark rooms or use a torch. And occasionally when showing the location that you're moving to pop open the map allows people to better follow where you're going cuz if they already have found those locations they could just go there and go from that spot instead of following along not knowing where the heck you're at. And I know a lot of you guys make these guides have to fit a lot of content in a small space of time but just a suggestion when you're at the location and it's just in the area don't accelerate the time or the pace of the game just go normal makes following along a 100x easier.

if you put 12 into arcane you can use dragonrot and its a crazy spell that can also kill most bosses easily. Can use it to beat Radan easy AF.

okay so i just started ER this weekend and followed this guide. everything still works. SONAF is nerfed but still good if anyone sorting by newest comments wants to know.
for those of you having trouble following after getting the skeleton armour section this is what he does:
1. get the second half of the medallion for the dectus lift at fort haight west
2. use it to get to altus plateau where you get the golden seal
3. get the demi god ashes from boss in the impaler catocombs on weeping penninsula
4. get the flame of frenzy incantation from Callu Baptismal Church in the Weeping Peninsula.
5. get the flame give me strength incantation from caelid (the left side of the castle behind the 2 fire breathing machines)
and if anyone wants to try (i saw a video after unfortunately) right after you kill the dragon if you use the grace fast enough behind you at the fort/castle (use the horse) the dragon will respawn and you can farm more runes.

You can still do the witches quest line even if you don’t talk to her in the beginning . So if anyone missed it you’ll be fine I’m still doing her quest line and bought the bell and doggos from the husk merchant

i played for 40 hours lol and only had a 240 damage katana now i have a 400 damage sword in 2 hours
to be fair, exploring the game with prior knowledge of smithing stone locations up to +7 trivializes every piece of content from limgrave to altus. better to get at least one playthough first where you struggle in the earlier areas
If it wasnt for this guide a few months ago I would have never gotten deep in this game. Now im currently level 206 and 124 hrs in trying to get everything and go through every grass before doing ng+. Tysm

This is great and I will be following this guide later tonight! There is an easier option for a bleed weapon though - there is a Morning Star located in The Weeping Peninsula on the main road, right after the Bridge of Sacrifice. It's in a chest inside a broken wagon.

For everyone struggling with the invader encounter: I got stomped too, so make sure to jump to the upgrade weapon step first and make it at least +3 (the weapon art will scale from D to C with int/faith which is significant).
Doing this made the encounter definitely manageable for me and could kill him first try after the upgrade.
Just jump on the table like he did in the video. I struggled so much till I just jumped on the table. The invader will fall off table while you cast

If bleed is not working for you, equip the "Radagon's Soreseal" Tailsman you get just before taking on the dragon.
That part wasn't mentioned in the video.

Just wanted to say right before you reach the dragon coming out of the room with the double doors if you go either in the middle or closer to the left there another golden seed

The crystal tunnel you were at before can be explored upward, and the boss is located at the top.
you could also get the golden scarab in caelid. its a tough boss fight, but if you grab the cleanse incantation it makes traversing that area much easier. i belive it gives extra 1/4th runes per kill.
several parts you wizzed by too quick. To get the radagan stone, you need to jump diagonally right then run around the corner then drop down. quickly snag the stone since the rats will one shot you. The first part was very confusing without stops to reference the map. eventually I figured it out. took me about 3 hours since i died a whole lot more than you did.

Great video. Working on the armour section now. Recommend holding on the map views a little longer though in future vids.
You essentially have to be either an Astrologer or Confessor in order to be able to level up to reach the sword's requirements after killing the giant dragon. I tried a Samurai, which allowed me to skip the uchigitana quest, but I still ended up about 5 points short in int/faith to reachs the reqs.

That Seal is exactly what i was looking for. There is a staff with similar attributes and i really want to use both faith and intelligence. This build is a little more on the faith side, while fextras build was a little more on the intelligence side. But thats okay, it was a very good video. Straight to the point and enjoyable overall.

You should let people know that killing that dragon ruins a npc quest later in the game, you get couple of really cool things by completing that quest

there is a golden rune [12] in the fort where you get the talisman, straight on instead of jumping the gap to the right. gives around 7500 runes i think

Neat build and cool that you found all of this. So, first of all, thanks for your effort putting this together!
Two pieces of advice for bettering your instructional method of your video however:
1) Turn up your brightness. I can't see anything when it's night or you are indoors, and since you say "follow my path" and then speed through whipping around left and right and making me dizzy since you don't face the right way all the time, brightness will help me get my bearings after the dizzying spinning around. Otherwise, I don't know which way you choce because I just can't see anything but a wall of black.
2) You should offer key points to the journey other than just "follow my path" because some of these paths are confusing, and they way you spin the camera constantly makes it continuously hard to keep track of which direction you are heading. Keep a constant bearing and make comments like "be sure to jump here", "follow this road then turn right before the cliffs", "jump down the hole, and make sure to jump to the other platform, and behind the wall is a big rat and a ladder, jump down the ladder and that's where you'll find the talisman." They help provide key instruction during confusing parts.
Anyways, I hope you continue to improve your instructional style. Here's some great content, and as you improve your delivery, I'm excited to see what other cool secrets I can find from your videos!
There's two level 5 somber stones on the floor directly across the walkway from the level 4 stone so you don't have to waste time getting the other level 5 stone

one thing that could be added to this is getting the golden scareb to get even more of a boost to the runes from killing the dragon. but you have to kill the twin bosses and get threw the rot and poison tunal so maybe not right away
that dungeon and boss can be difficult for low level imo, esp when you cant equip the sword yet so i rather not and did not
Been struggling to find a good build and this has been fun, hard and interesting to do. Loads of fun and getting some dragon hearts for new spells is a nice bonus as well. 9/10 though because at the end I had no idea where to go

Someone invaded me with this exact build today. I knew what to expect, but even after leaving him one shot through all of his flasks, he still one shot me before I could get him.
It's not a good PVP build, its just a gimmick build that pretty much lets you easy mode pve the game.

A note here: If you’ve already played some and leveled up, the dragon will not provide enough runes. Just found that out the hard way.

I just wanted to point out something for the armor section of the video. If you play on the 1.0 version of the game (you need a physical copy) the pot that is secretly an NPC is not a pot in the 1.0 version. It is a stone statue of a hooded praying woman. But it works the exact same as it does in later versions. And honestly, if you listen to all of his dialogue, it makes much more sense for him to be a statue than a pot. Just wanted to point that out :)
There’s a lot of neat differences in the 1.0 version compared to the updated versions. Lots of items are named differently, and almost no item is where the wiki or any tutorial says it should be, lol. Makes a playthrough painful. But I like to think that it’s the intended experience lmao
If you need help about equipping the radagons soreseal I GOTCHUUU !! had the exact same issue but when you get it go to equipment then to the single slot right below your armour and right above the flasks and itll be there :)

Great video! For people that are doing this recently, I'd recommend that instead of using the Uchigatana, use the Morningstar, as it gave the bleed damage that the Uchigatana wasn't giving me.

I did this and after all that. Getting the sword and killing the dragon and stuff and upgrading i was not able to use the sword like that.. so was a little butt hurt lol Im sure it was because my starting class was a samurai, still got to lvl up some stats to get it to that point…

@@uhsteve after you jump down the hole there is a big rat and an opening to the bottom floor. If you look to the right there is another room that you have to jump to. It has a big rat in it. Get by the big rat and there is a hole to drop down with sore seal. You can only access it this way
yes, i had to rewatch the video at 0.25x like 5 times before i realized he had to jump across a platform after smashing the wood, not easy!
I would also add grabbing the bloodhound step from the night cavalry, it’s very easy to make him fall off the map and it gives you an extra 42k runes

You could do fort Haight and kill the knight with the blood blade echantment to get that instead of an uchigatana. The second (first) part of the elevator seal is also there. You got the other in caedia.

In my experience, FromSoft doesn't nerf stuff. Basically, this is sequence-breaking, which is essentially one of the draws of their games. It's awesome, and I love it! Thanks for the guide. This is great! Having fun with the early build so far :)

From here you should grab the Meteorite Staff; obtain Radagon Icon; defeat Rennala to gain another talisman pouch from Enia; obtain Ancient Death Rancor from Death Rite Bird near Gatetown; raise your INT to 34; and then equip/memorize the above items.
Ancient Death Rancor makes trolls flinch and deals poise damage to big enemies like dragons. Either of which will make using Sword of Night and Flame's skills that much less of a hassle.
Plus it's a death spell, and you're wearing death-related getup, so...
Also 50+ each INT and FAI should be high enough for Prince of Death's Staff to outperform other glintstone staffs, at least with with death sorceries.
I think it's awesome that you can get powerful weapons without killing bosses. Now I can use the weapons to kill those bosses instead of getting them after they are all dead.
Definitely a powerful build but very very prone to deaths since these spells take enormous amounts of time to cast and you cant move while casting. Also, its hard to get good hits against units that are mobile because you cant re-aim these spells, only in the very last second before releasing. Another note - the beam attack (single target) appears to be far more effective on most bosses than the flame sweep (FAN AOE)

It’s a bad guide tbh. Didn’t pause on the map so the players would have some idea where they’re at. Then didn’t explain how to leave the mines. All around is for players who are real familiar with the game.
It took me 8 hours and a good amount of googling to follow it. Not great for follow along but good enough to get adequate results I'd say.
@@Forrest_Trump i mean not really since most people will play for an hour or 2 before searching how to get op very very early on. In that time frame you can probably figure out + it's easy to tell mines are like dungeons in other games, most games don't let you fast travel out. He shows the map where you can pause yourself lol?

Very helpful Guide. When I first started didn't know really what class to use as I thought Samurai was a pretty good start...little did I know my Katana isn't really helpful. I run out of arrows and apparently cost MP. Didn't know where to refill arrows for large part of game. 😅 Spent runes in strength and endurance to carry more shit which is strange considering I wasn't even close to limit, and my characters ass was heavy.
Then trying to learn spells was a hassle cos I recently learned I needed to get scrolls? Find someone or something? Not too mention, some bosses were annoying to kill. I died 20times against some bods just to get his sword and lost runes. 🤣

This is actually not tru after killing the second demi god on all my playthroughs she hasn't showed up ....obviously this is late for some people but I have tested it a few times
But after killing the moonlight queen u can go to her tower and speak to her that way and buy the bell and doggos off the handmaiden

Appreciate the guide but sorry to nitpick. If you make more videos can you consider slowing down the footage when you’re in maze like/dark spaces. The Fort Faroth portion was a night because it’s pretty hard to tell what you’re doing in there.

Great guide, although as I am doing this early-ish game, I didn't have enough runes to level up Faith to level 24 after killing the dragon. I only managed to get it to level 10. The next upgrade cost 10k runes. Damn my rotten luck. Guess I gotta grind for a while.

Probably because you have already levelled up some stats rather than going straight from the beginning. I’m having the same issue. It’s gets more and more expensive each time

I prefer Ultra Close Combat with Strength and Dexterity. Since Demon Souls i never used Magic. It's just way too easy.
Yea man, has always been ez mode, and in elden ring it is very very ez mode. Most of the hardest bosses go down in 30 secs once you get the 70 int spell, don't know why people would ruin the game for themselves but to each their own.

Different people get different things from games and some just enjoy exploring and looking at the world design without being challenged. Personally I think all Souls games should have an easy mode for that reason, an alternative experience for the people who enjoy different parts of the games.

Not entirely sure how you suddenly were able to use the bleed on the katana it's still not efficient for me because I only have the *right side of the talisman* maybe? I'm a bit lost here. Can't kill the dragon because of it

The bleed is a passive ability of the katana u just need to keep hitting to cause bleed. No Talisman or anything else needed for this
@@phatboywill3029 found the problem after he loots the talisman half he says now go die. But what the video shows is him running and grabbing another talisman that will give him the proper stats needed

I would not recommend to kill the Fallingstar Beast at this level. There is one SOMBER SMITHING STONE [6] is in south of the First Mt. Gelmir Campsite, on a body sat on a chair overlooking the edge with a wolf sat next to them. Anyway this build is kinda ok, not too strong. I found out that I prefer the beam attack more than the flame. Bosses and normal mobs will still 1-2 shot you though.
Fucked up and put all my starting skill points into strength so when I ended up doing this I maxed out intelligence but only got faith to level 13 😭😭

There's a lot of pretty easy ways to farm a few hundred thousand runes, even if you aren't doing something super cheesy. You can still do it. Don't feel like you have to give up the character. Or just re-roll and you'll power through in no time. Best of luck.

Do you think this scales well into endgame? I'm still not sure how the weapon's fire and magic damage scales with int and faith? I assume it does?
It's broken. I was using it with 50 Fth and 50 Int and it's actually removing the challenge from a lot of bosses so I stopped. Kamehameha your way to victory if you fancy it.
aows scale off weapon, and the weapon is primarily int/faith. going by fextra at +10 they're both B scaling. as far as endgame idk what constitutes endgame as I haven't made it that far. I've seen someone take about 1/6th of radahn hp i think, with the beam. idk if that's good or not, nor they're upgrade level. I do think they'll fall off compared to a weapon that can upkeep dps better
I'm about 50 hours in and beaten most of the story bosses. It stays very strong. Only real issue you may run into is someone who's very resistant to magic.

Just some constructive criticism. Mark the area you are traveling to on the map, it makes things a lot easier for us.
If you're a questing/lore type, DO NOT kill the dragon. Farm the bowling balls near there instead.

No you guys are capping all those dragon skills require a dragon heart to killing that dragon is the easiest way to get them please double check ur info a quick video search will prove u wrong

The build is great, I’d just hope in future guides we can get more specific locations rather than just “go here”, some map markers pointing where were going, and a list of item names. I still don’t know what incantation the last part of the video is talking about because you never mentioned the name, and you pointed at a site of grace but I went there and there’s no incantation there.
I'll look for that later. yeah, he didn't say the name. If it's the "flame grant me strength" mentioned at the beginning, I finally found that in the Gaol castle he shows in the picture. Just do the cave and the castle and you'll run into it.
A little thing I did was change the stats at 125 to 40vig 25mind 32endurance 18strength 19dex 40int 33faith 22arcane. That gives you a bit more freedom to use differ t weapon types as wall as sorcery’s

I started as pure mage, dabbled into spellblade and yday I made this one at level 120 and it's absolutely broken. With Mimic tear +10 and all other end game equipment even the "hardest" endgame optional bosses become a joke. This build is broken to a point that's i'm not even sure it's fun, cause all bosses become trivial and it kinda takes the charm out of a souls game.
What about doing bosses solo without summoning mimic tear +10 ? The bosses will just smack you while you take your sweet charging that weapon art. Then its not completely broken is it ? If you are summoning then you are not legitimately beating the boss , takes away most of the challenge.
If you are summoning anyway , even without this op build bosses can be beaten easily.
I’ve been avoiding the so called “noob weapons” ever since launch so now I’m starting a new character just make a build for this sword and then I’m going to try the rest of them.
Tip, you don't need uchi, it takes too long, get the morning star at the entrance of weeping peninsula.
if you dont have the stats you cant use it
uchi only takes a couple minutes to get, that's including travel from the grace!

Ah yes get op in under 2 hours if you dont count the perquisites you need to complete it. Like I'm having a hard time getting to the flame give me strength with just the shrine's he showed how to get. It feels like halfway through he just gave up and just gave the bare bones info. The first half was so descriptive and easy to follow the second half was completely fucked.
Sword of Knight and Flame is amazing, but it's arguably pointless to stack your intel if you're building a faith pally.
If you stack early on, you'll have to defeat Rennala before you can reset your stats for different weapons and no points in intel, which is going to take a long time.
What do you recommend sinking runes into?
@@kallum7959 I'm sinking them into faith, strength, and vigor (intel and arcane at 9). Dex , endurance, and mind for just items.
It’s the first time I play this kind of game. Never played any soul. I’m level 29, after like 15hours of play, and I keep getting myself killed over and over by nearly any mob. Enemies that would take me 4 minutes to kill you wipe them with two shots !!! Wow 😮 now I see what I did wrong. Thank you.
