I am sure .. most of the people who are commenting are not going to buy this car! so my 2 cent free advice! Nissan should target tire - 2 cities for his car and even for the "Kicks". Kicks is a surprisingly good and impressive car, however changing image in India is not a easy task. EX: Tata has taken lot of effort to change its image and years of effort. So Nissan needs to be patient like TATA to improve its image not going to happen with one or two product launches.

To all those here, just my perspective..I think Nissan targets the concept of
    1) Big, Proportionate looks, well laid out head, leg & shoulder Room for avg Indian size.
    2) A powertrain that's a balance between Performance & mileage with turbo aiding the midranges for ease of overtakes.
    3) Giving Gimmicks - current trend among segment but thoughtful (360° camera + TPMS+ Rear AC) .
    4) The DNA of an SUV with high seating position, wheel arc claddings, functional roof rails, cruise control.
.. Targets the customers who seeks the alternative for a so called premium hatches, Compact sedans, who avoids the base/mid variants of Compact SUVs..
I think Nissan positions it as competitor for KUV100, Ignis, freestyle, the upcoming Tata Hornbill and Renult Kiger.
I think Nissan made it Practical, thoughtful & economical rather than on papers of Compact SUVs(no offense)making VFM with reliable Japanese technology.

The car does make a lot of sense.
    1. Bold & Sharp design. Looks aggressive & peppy at the same time.
    2. Lots of space for rear passengers. 3 passengers can be seated. OMG! The cabin looks & feels roomy.
    3. Good & sufficient connected car features. Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto is a boon.
    4. X-Tronic CVT is great.
    5. Good amount of storage space.
    6. Can definitely vouch on for the dynamics as considering the platform & the way it has been built gives a sense of confidence on & off the road. I think there is no or negligible bodyroll on sharp turns.
    7. The pricing & features can undercut many rivals.
    8. I have always liked Nissan products.
The only issue lies is with the Dealership Network. An efficient Dealership network can work miracles for Nissan India.🤞
The best example of reviving dealerships & making them efficient is TATA Motors. They are trying their level best to balance the quality of products with the after sales experience.

The thing I am most impressed with is the above 1000kg kerb weight which hints at a praiseworthy build quality as it's essential for the safety of the the user but only a crash test by GNcap can tell us how reliable this car is in real life scenarios, overall I am impressed.

I don't think this will disrupt the market. It will expand the CSUV market where those looking to buy lower end ' premium hatchback' will instead buy this model, but the sales won't be enough to sustain Nissan.

Read this to know about safety: to all those who complain about tribal platform blah blah blah , let me tell you that safety rating is not just based on how well a car resist collision. It depends on crash avoidance system as well.
Polo scored 0 star in crash test without airbag and 4 stars with crash test. Both are of exactly same body and you can see a significant difference just because of the presence of a safety feature. Have a clear insight before concluding anything.
I've visited Nissan showroom myself. Magnite is definitely good build sexy machine. Most of these people commenting about magnites build quality have not even seen the car in person.
Getting 5 star rating by ncap doesn't mean that you can take your car and crash it against a wall and be safe. All crash tests are done in controlled environment. Even a small change in variables would compromise safety. These tests are simply overrated. They give you only a mere insight. Real accident scenarios are completely different.
For those who wish to consider this car , just visit the showroom and see it yourself rather than reading comments from people who have not even seen the car but bashing the cars quality without proper knowledge. Just follow your instincts.

Chances are it will definitely eat into the med. & top variants of Compact & Premium hatch segment of Baleno, i20 & Altroz & all the lower & mid variants of established Sub 4 mts C SUVs brands.
Nissan's have introduced a trump card in Magnite. Hope it lives up to its looks & space in built Quality & Service.
Hope Nissan's improve their After-Sales Service Network & Dealers Outlets.
