Thank you in advance!
The genre is Sublime.✌️😎
Hey that's real talk. I been saying Ska but Sublime is there own genre..💯
@@ericjohnson1879 Bradley said it himself they just want to write good music
100% real
Brad WAS the Boss DJ!
@@patrickgarvey146 10000000% bro
RAH Sublime is a fusion of SKA, PUNK, and REGGAE. ✌
You forgot hip hop blues jazz Spanish music
@@burningwolf4055 bossa nova and dance hall also
It's whatever Brad and boys were feeling honestly man lol.
And hip-hop. Those are the main 4 genres they blend, but they peppered their discography with a bunch of diverse influences.
I was gonna say and hip hop
Killed that freestyle!
That was nice!
My favorite Sublime song! Cant blaze anymore bc of my job but this song always gives me that vibe like I just did.
Same
My Bruh, Doin' Time is the quintessential Sublime Track in my book. All elements that made them irreplaceable represented here.
How beautiful it is too see people hearing Sublime for the first time. I been listening to this band since I was 14, im 38 now, I still rock this shit ! I got mad love for Sublime. It's even better when you know the history, that allows you too appreciate it on a different level.
Dude... I've watched a handful of your videos... and I'm always entertained when you do music reactions like this. I feel like you straight up feel how this song was meant to be felt. I saw Sublime with Bradley at warped tour back in like 93...But when you start freestyling to the music of Sublime... that's when I'm like... YO... I can't deny this dude a subscription any longer. You felt that vibe so hardcore, that you went into your own world with it. And that's how this specific music was supposed to make people feel. Upbeat California reggae/ska/punk/jam /dance music. You're legit with it.
Scarlet Begonias is another banger by these guys that you might be interested in checking out. It’s a cover they do from the Grateful Dead.
I’m lovin the sublime reactions!
Tokin on Gorrilla Glue #4....constantly
Got one of those ready to harvest next week.
Dirty Heads very much inspired by Sublime. They do a track called “Believe” that talks about the Sublime influence. Great track. Nice reaction as always bro ✌🏻
My dawg 💯✊🏿
Dirty heads are awful lol
Sublime always fits the bill homey 😎🤘
Bro, I was rollin' around in 96, 120 degree Texas heat, no a/c, high af, absolutely blasting this. Takes me back.
i just love how he took an old jazz/broadway song and turned it into a banger. bradley was a genius
RAH check out these SKA bands. The Specials, The Beat, General Public, Madness, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Fishbone. ✌
Good looks on the suggestions!
FISHBONE!!!
I'm from the LBC sublime was huge in the 90s!
Currently smokin on some Sour Diesel while watching this from Huntington Beach, CA...good vibes always man 🤙🏻✌🏻
I grew up with this shit. I have drove across the country four times. I have lived in five different states…..Oregon, Washington, California, Hawaii( Marine Corp) and Texas now.
I love these reaction videos. Sublime is a lot like the dead. Either you get it or you don’t and you sir get it. Therapy for the soul!
Prolly the sweetest JAM by SUBLIME
enjoying some Triangle Kush
Love seeing people react to my favorite band and singer. Badfish is my favorite by them, but any song you would listen to i would enjoy. Nice job!
Preciate that Michael 💯
Hey bro that freestyle was dope
preciate that bro
This that JAM
Nothing but love and good music brother... SOLID flow too ✌🏼
My dawg ✊🏿
This song is the epitome of the word "fusion." Hip hop, reggae, jazz, punk. There's a little of all things anti-social in there - and all at once, not one after the other.
Do you like cover?
Totally get it
That was so dope!
Its fitting you did this in the car. This song is definitely cruising music.
YOU GOTTA HEAR SNOOP DOG'S doing time remix. Snoop and sublime? Fuuuuckin brilliant!
The Pharcyde did one on the original single release. That one is bangin', it's called the Marshall Arts version. Also check out the Eerie Splendor remix from the same original release
All the GOATs did "Summertime" - Ella Fitzgerald, Willie Nelson, etc... but nobody did it like Sublime.
Janis Joplin's version is the best in my opinion. It makes me cry. Very powerful.
I like Lana’s version too
💚💚💚💚💚💚
I love dirty heads💚
Killer Grape & Purple Ice 1💨💨💨
Another great musical vibe is Massive Attack. They are Trip-Hop Electronica and use featured singers on most songs. I recommend Black Milk or Teardrop.
Fuck yeah homie, I was wondering when youd get to this sick ass track. Sublime is unlike no others
Jane's Addiction XXX? idk what the cd was called, but it was all covers, I think? Anyway, I liked "Rock & Roll/Sympathy For the Devil" as a combo track, I think. And Jane's did a cover of "Ripple" by the Grateful Dead for the tribute album "Deadicated" that reminds me of Sublime sorta. And a couple songs from Rehab's cd " Southern Discomfort" are pretty chill, like " It Don't Matter" & "Drinking Problem" & "Thinking Again".
Thank you so much for reminding me of Sublime tho, they're music is truly a gift.
Official fan bruh!
Ok ok... BOSS DJ. Its raw bro. Raw.
I was 6 in 97 lol
This is a 90s classic
But I like the cover too!
🔥
Respect
You got a good flow going on that
Your free Style reminded me a bit of WyClef !!!
I’m a huge fan of his !!
Good Shit Brother !!!
I remixed this back in the early 2000s and it kind of blew up. Even got played on the radio in the UK. I might throw it up on my SoundCloud to see how long it takes them to take it down since it was bootleg as a muth.
Ah screw it, if I get flagged it happens. soundcloud.com/orbit1/sublime-summer-timermx-0rbit0ne
There's an older song Travis Barker & Yelawolf put out called 6 ft Underground , yelawolf does a sublime flow.
Also features Tim Armstrong who is a punk rock goat from the bay area.
Speaking of Tim Armstrong, someone should react to an Operation Ivy song
Check out Summertime by George Gershwin. It is from the Gershwin Opera Porgy and Bess, an American Opera. The Ella Fitzgerald Louis Armstrong version is good. Any version is good really. But that is the genesis of this song.
Scratching = Cowbell
You can never have enough!!
Rah, I'm telling you, find a rock band. Your flows + live instruments = the Shit. 💚
You might be on to sumn Scott 🤔
Sublime- Under My Voodoo, check out that one.....Damn, check you out on that freestyle
Same but different. Less reggae. KOTTOMOUTH KINGS: "Here we go again."
Pawnshop haunts me….. soy Mexicano but have a masters in Engineering and know many homeboys that are in the hood…
Praying for you all. Pawnshop is deep as it relates to people selling wedding rings and to handle either addition, rent or cloths for kids… that why they mention “just remember that it’s flesh and bone”… 💔
The Pharcyde!!!! did a rap remix on the original singles release album. That one is bangin', it's called the Marshall Arts version. Also check out the Eerie Splendor remix from the same original release
We smoking everything
So I liked and subscribed to you because of your react to April 29, 1992. In answer to your question as to what sublime song has affected my life more than any other, that is the unequivocal answer. April 29, 1992, I am hoping, is going to be a song that will be written about 100 years from now.
You asked for three sublime song suggestions in that review, so I decided to look at your page and see when you’d already listen to before I made my suggestions. I hit this one because this is probably my favorite sublime song to listen to.
This song is just so much fun and so fucking awesome LOL. I want to hold her head under water? Come on man that is a fucking hilarious line. Also “what am I gonna Be doing for a while, said I’m gonna play with myself!” Come on dude, that is fucking hilarious.
So here are my three suggestions:
Garden grove - Again, just to get a feel for that outlaw white boy hippie life.
Johnny Butt - When you started free styling at five minutes and 30 seconds of this video, I knew you would appreciate the visceral and painful truths metered out in this song.
Scarlet begonias - There are several reasons why I suggest This track. Firstly, if you wanna know how hard the last couple of minutes of this song hit for me, I’ll tell you in a face-to-face conversation sometime Lol. Also, you’ve been looking for the roots of sublime and the outgrowth from sublime, which I have to say I find commendable as a hard-core sublime fan. The roots of sublime lie in the Grateful Dead. Scarlet begonias was originally a Grateful Dead tune, and sublime certainly put my generations mark upon it.
Grateful dead song suggestions:
Truckin’
Wharf Rat
He’s Gone
If you take interest in my reactions to your videos, and you’re more curious about the grateful dead, I will help you further😉
If you like sublime, you might like Tropidellic. It's another fusion band.
LBC Long Beach Compton Cali boys get it boy just caught you flow lol feel good music I remember them in the day great memories.
Or Pool Shark.
Freestyle was fire bruh
Preciate it homie , checc out my music in the description when u get some time
@@RAHONLYFAM will do
Dirty Heads and so many more are inspired by Sublime. Bradley was the man! You should try Tropidelic as well. Little Stranger is another good one. Love your freestyle
Check out the version of this song with Snoop and another one with the PHARCYDE
Gorilla Glue #4
BTW, His “girl” is a reference to heroin… 💔💔💔🧎🧎🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Gotta hear the snoop dog AND the pharcyde remixes to this... 2 diff remix both dope af
Love Sublime, my best friend owns the van. But I had to comment, this dude's facial hair looks like kanye lol
Um, this song isn't about weed, its literally about his girl sleeping around on him. The Sublime song that had the biggest influence on me would have to be "What I Got," simply because that's the song that introduced me to Sublime, who then introduced me to a whole swath of other music, through their covers and samples.
Devin tha Dude ❤️
We get an ounce of shake for $35 in Oregon these days.
This song may remind you of "Santana"?
Yo man, I'm catching up on your Sublime vids. Still haven't seen these 3... Also... Dude... Dirty Heads, Black Bottom Lighters, Pepper, shit I can go on and on.
1) Jailhouse
2) STP
3) Ebin
Genre is just punk, reggae, dub, ska.
Check out DJs or Same in the End next.
They should re record this song with your rap verse! lol
Summertime (doin time) is the best sublime tune. Im pretty sure the genre is called... dope! 🤣
From The Whole Bay Area!!! Bro! Where you from?
Ska, it's Ska
ska funk rasta punk is the genre, don't forget to light up a doobie
Don't forget, Bradley died of heroin. RIP
Don't wanna say what I was doing in 1996!🤣
You've hit their more pop/reggae/ska/hip hop stuff but you're missing the punk side of the Sublime genre.. Check out "Same in the End," "Seed", or "Saw Red." Very young Gwen Stephanie sings with him on saw red so that might get some extra views,)
My man you gotta listen to the Pharcyde remix of this. Its fucking awesome.
Haha you learned today its dangerous to drive while listening to Sublime, you'll end up cruising to a different town on autopilot
Try no doubt
You are the shiznit
U want a lil reggae, dj scratching, rap rock, hard transitions to smooooth.... check out 311.
"Whose Got The Herb"
Yo check out Let’s Go Get Stoned and Cisco Kid by Sublime. Those tracks are tight
Thank you for tuning in!!

Dirty Heads-Moon Tower
There's a dance hall remix of this song with Mad Lion. Believe me you will love it.
They actually did a remix of this song in a collab w/ The Pharcyde, the legendary cali-based rap group. Shit is fire.
Bro, you GOTTA hear the snoop dog remix of this song. I believe its called "doin time snoop remix"
How that bass hittin ya?🤘🤘🤘😁😁😁
Bro, if u can find it check out their documentary Stories tales lies and exaggerations. Man it’s super intimate, funny sad and just an experience to watch! Check it out
I'm smoking moon rocks
You gotta do Pawn Shop man
Soon 🔥
Hey bro, check out garden grove by sublime if you haven’t yet .
Try slightly stooped they are really similar
I may be wrong, but I think that is Marshall Goodman scratching...?
Las Vegas skunk
React to Hong Kong phooey rare sublime song but it's dope
Had a dat
You should check out Ebin. A song about when a childhood friends becomes a Neo-Nazi... it's more ska-punk, but it's a really interesting song. And... you know, relevant.
listen to scarlet begonias
Reggae dub. Hip hop ska punk.
This is an old miles Davis song
Listen to ROBIN THE HOOD. The entire album. Then pick your favor bruh
