It my work but it's a worth try, you can find those capture cards for like 15£. But you might have a slightly delay signal.
Forgot to mention it only outputs 30fps
@@damota6294 hi brother, I tried a cheap capture card and it works great. Thanks!!!
@@shuttlebadminton24 can you give me the names of all the exact equipments you used would be very helpful as I am suffering from the same problem
@@soham.banerjee Hi brother, I used following things,
1. Xonton capture card: usb to female hdmi model
2. Mini hdmi male to hdmi male
3. Hdmi male to type c/ thunderbolt/ mini usb (depending on the phone model)
4. Used a phone mount on top the camera to set this up.
Later on I fixed my LCD from a local repair shop but I still love the setup made.
Can u pls test out the qdslr dashboard app with this setting? Wheather that app can record video with this technique or not?
Iv never used that app
@@OpticalNoise can we control video related settings using this setting from the android device?
Does this support even when filming in 120fps or only in 24fps?
no in 120 its still only saving the screen preview. its not a replacement for a proper recorder. even if you shoot 4k 24p the phone is recording 1080p as its the screen preview now the final
Does the 3.5mm audio from the mobile phone can be use as sound monitor too?
I'm not sure if the audio goes through I can have a look
@@OpticalNoise would you please to test it?
@@OpticalNoise I would assume so, huh? Wouldn't rely on it for anything paid though.
Why not just use the Sony app, no wires/converter, and mount with cold shoe phone holder?
the app lags like a mofo on wireless. so if you shooting stills its ok but if you shooting video it is not worth it. i tried cause i would have loved to just wirelessly connect to see when i do gimbal work but there is major lag. on my new a7c its more do able. as it has 5gz wifi so its much quicker. still a few lag spikes but on the a7iii it didnt work. also using a hdmi monitor is easier but i mean every one has a phone. im not saying this is the go to method. just showing that it is a option and can be done.
Can you live stream that way?
im not sure im sure you could find a way though
Does it work with IPhone could you check it out?
Unfortunately I don't own a IPhone to try
I bought a use field monitor
they are better yes. this is just a option
Did you mean usb, or a regular hdmi on cam monitor?
Keep it either way!
this video could end in just 1 min, if you guys are courious how its done, fast forward to 05:00
Like iv said before. The channel is about me too not just here to make tutorials.
can I use a usb c from phone to hdmi to run it?
You need the USB to hdmi converter thing that's essential to change the signal
Will this work for A7ii?
Any camera with a hdmi yes
What android version is your phone running? Apparently it doesn’t work for Android 10? And I’ve already tried connecting my Galaxy s10e to my a6400 and the app isn’t detecting the camera.
Flip I don't remember but my phones Kways updated so whatever version was available then. Iv seen this done on a cheap phone. This won't work purely through USB u need all rhat I used.
@@OpticalNoise I already connected the micro HDMI to the HDMI Capture to the USB OTG in to my Galaxy s10e, but it's not detecting. I'm guessing your phone at the time was on Android 9.
I'm curious, can you still use you Android phone now as a monitor? And what version of Android are you running currently?
@@derrickdoan1060 il check for you today. I only did this for the video . So haven't tried again. Will check
hi so it definitely still works, just tested and i put it on my instagram story for you to check. @opticalnoise
Can we record N Log footage in the phone?
it only records the preview of your camera. its not a proper recorder
Can i use it on the a7iv?
probably but i dont own a a7 iv yet to try
Can this work on the sony nex 6 with an iphone se?
If there's a hdmi out then yes
I'm using a6400 sony..hooked up everything but no vid feed ..help on this ?
Must be doing something wrong. I can't help I don't know what you have done. Follow all the steps closely.
@@OpticalNoise made all conections with said cables and hdmi capture device, running the pro version app monitor+ on Samsung S9+.followed required camera settings, pc mode on and disable USB power as shown in the monitor user manual, still app show no signal, I used the same cable setup to my mac to check if device or cable is faulty, but all components work.also uninstall and re installed the pro app and still no go..any thoughts on this.
@@realsteelreggae7880 I didn't use the monitor plus app. It's called ip cam
@@realsteelreggae7880 USB cam not mo it or plus
Why isn’t anyone having an answer for this? What if one android phone is recording a video and I want the feed from the first phone to show wirelessly on my second android phone? Is there an app for that?
dam. but why though? why are you needing to record to phone and feed out again. if you can find a mirror app then it should work fine.. but what would the use be here?
The HDMI dongle link does not work :/
They must have removed the product il replace it in the morning for you
@@OpticalNoise Thank you! Happy New Year!
amzn.to/3pS936H updated it
can you hear the sound output if you plug headphones to the phone ?
This may work but I'm not sure try it
@@OpticalNoise yeah i hope so , otherwise il go with a monitor , sound is very important for me and my camera don't have a headphone output .. thank's man .
Does this works with the sony a6000?
Will work with any cam if have a converter
do this vid for Ipad
Ios hasn't got a app to do the same thing
Please do this for iOS
спасибо, отличное видео
thank you
Instead of HDMI converter, why not just use HDMI to type-c cable
Won't work. It needs the converter cause your phone isn't a monitor
