Hey Caleb, couple questions: 1) What happens if notifications or calls come in during the recording? Can it continue to record in the background? Will the clip just end? 2) Can this be used to capture video and audio signal from a non-camera source over HDMI? Say recording a desktop screen? Thank you!
Thats actually some good thoughts. My opinion would be to turn off wifi/data when using your phone for video only. I am curious as to what Caleb recommends.
1. It is possible to answer the call in the notification banner. The app will continue to record if you do not change apps. We are working on background mode support. 2. You can capture any compatible HDMI signals up to 1080p 60FPS, including audio.
the biggest drawback in my opinion is that it can only record 1080p60 at h264 codec. almost every new cameramodel can transfer files over wifi or usb-c to you smartphone. what i would like to see is a device like that which can record proresraw internally and use the smartphone or tablet as a monitor. that would be game changing.

Hey Caleb, Jordon Drake said you can’t charge the phone and get the video feed at once. You implied you can get the video while charging your phone using the 5V output at the start of this video. Can you confirm if this works or not?
A wireless charger is the only way to charge your phone while using SeeMo at the moment. You can connect a 5V Qi charger to the 5V output port of SeeMo. You can also use the Apple MagSafe charger for fast charging. However, SeeMo can charge your iPad at 5V. The Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro is necessary if you want to charge your iPad faster.

Android versions using USBC have existed for a few years now, multiple apps. Just one of the ways Android allows for more unique software for specific things like this over Apple, but glad to see they are allowing things like this. I can connect right to the USBC on my phone to the camera, don't need another device inbetween so I can just set the phone on a phone mount and I'm good to go! On the Canon R systems (R5/R6) it says that when the back LCD is on while it's simultaneously transmitting to a monitor like the Accsoon Seemo, it won't record to the card. Could you use this device and app to record video while in photo mode on the Canon r5 in order to grab videos while you are conducting a photo session?
Can you turn the monitor (iPhone) around so I can see myself while recording...or does it have to be in the position of the shooter? Asking because my camera doesn't have a flip screen to see if I'm positioned correctly.
bought seemo this week, with sony a7iv and fx3, the frame rate on app doesn't match the hdmi output on camera (sony camera set hdmi ouput 1080 25p pal or 1080 30p ntsc) ,it always output 1080 50p and 1080 60p, this also affect the recorded file on iphone. but 1080 24p /50p /60p matches
It's SONY's issue. Yes you set the HDMI output to 1080 25p or 30p, but the actually output via the HDMI is 50p or 60p, so that's why the App shows 50p or 60p. We will try to fix it by add pull-down option.

You can use SeeMo with iPad without the PowerCage.
Get Monitor + app instead if you have android phone and the latest Sony cameras. The latency is very low on USB C and it has most of the features mentioned here.
Can I use this to change my focus point? Can I see audio levels? Sorry if I missed either of those.
Thanks for the review! Ordered it already and I’m gonna get it next Tuesday!🙌
I love this. Just imagining all the possibilities has me super excited!
You can flip the video in the App so you can turn the iPhone around and let the screen toward you.
Got one, great review, thanks! I hope the battery life is good!
I will absolutely be getting one. Hopefully there’s a smoother gradient coming for the false color.
bought seemo this week, with sony a7iv and fx3, the frame rate on app doesn't match the hdmi output on camera (sony camera set hdmi ouput 1080 25p pal or 1080 30p ntsc) ,it always output 1080 50p and 1080 60p, this also affect the recorded file on iphone. but 1080 24p /50p /60p matches
It's SONY's issue. Yes you set the HDMI output to 1080 25p or 30p, but the actually output via the HDMI is 50p or 60p, so that's why the App shows 50p or 60p. We will try to fix it by add pull-down option.
@@ACCSOON cool, waiting for future firmware update
Heavens. if nothing else, that interface is amazing. Atomos and Portkeys could learn a lot!
Can you use a device like this for auto-focus as well?
Cool product. I'm sure with user input there will be lots of improvements.
One could also use this to cast one’s camera video & audio output via AirPlay, yes?
I might have missed this, does it charge the phone while in use?
Hey Caleb! I really enjoy your videos and this one too. But I’m waiting for your under ”3000$$” above head setup video. Can you tell us when will we be getting it? Thank you in advance!!
Is this tool for iPhone mobile only or for Android as well ?
Actually the phone cost more than the camera, so the camera is really the accessory.😊♥️
💀💀💀
If so, you are doing something wrong
@@azhaarov213 no you are.
@@Tigerex966if your phone costs more than your camera then your camera is crap
@@GinnyAline_laughs most pro phones cost over $1000 $1500 with case charger battery pack wireless charger.
So all cameras under $1500 or $1000 are CRAP then?
Thanks for showing us your lack of knowledge of phones and camera prices.
Thx for the review.. Can this also be used via HDMI out that comes from my computer.? I mean any HDMI video signal can be fed in this device ..?
I wonder if this can be used as a multi-cam live stream solution. Perhaps transmit the signal to OBS.
The recording ot the phone feature has another great use ... camneras that have 30 minute time limits.
Let's say you have an older DSLR with a recording time limit and you don;t normally care but tonight you want to record your kids play wel ... 1080p at 20MBps (the max on my android wiith the app) is more than adequate and you don;t have the shell out 800$ (Canadian) plus for a Atomos Ninja V for this one off use (or occasional use).
Does it charge the iphone wirelessly while using lightening port to feed hdmi signal? Because otherwise battery of the iphone will be drained very fast
If you want to have video out to the phone, and charge the phone using the 5V port, do you need some kind of splitter? Not sure how that will work otherwise.
Are these Sony batteries the same as the ones found in A7 series cameras?
Being a professional on location live streamer ...would love to hook my ATEM Extreme to this out in the field to livestream without having to lug around a computer/tablet and a mifi hotspot!!
That’s a fantastic idea!
binny video
haha you are not the only one, also lugging M1 macbook and 4G router around for field streams
Im guessing it opens to accommodate different sizes, 5.4 inches to 6.7 , looking for this for years. great find
I have a Sony FX 3 and just bought the ACCSOON SeeMo. I hooked it up following the instructions, but I can only see the output on the SeeMo and not on my LCD screen. All the reviews I have watched show both screens live. Do you think that this is a defective unit? Also, the fan goes on in this unit. Too bad because I could really like this device.
Awesome video! Can you tap the iphone screen for auto-focus adjustment, like you can on the camera screen? I have a Canon R6. Or can I still tap on the R6 built in screen to just the AF location?
Cna you use this wiht another lavalier mics? Awesome vid
Hey Caleb what about vertical video? does it auto rotate?
How do you get good audio from this? Can you feed a DJI Mic to the camera and still have good audio feed through the recorder?
Thanks for the video. I'm having an issue with the reliability of the Canon Connect app and would like to find a cabled alternative to that. Is there any way to control the cameras shutter, aperture, iso and AF settings though this sytem?
hi guy i have a question; how to record voice from mic-interface-DAW and video from camera-obs-zoom? plz
When I click on both of the affiliate links they take me to the home page rather than the landing page?
This look amazing! A question- is what is viewed on the phone screen what is recorded by the camera- eg, if you change the aspect ratio on the phone will the camera itself record the way selected or is it just a display thing??
Another thing I gotta buy! Thanks
The app will record a clean feed, without applying LUT, overlay, or desqueeze.
This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for!!!
Saw Kai review this and I was interested. Thank you for a thorough review!!!
Hello,
Will it click photos also or it is just for videos only?
Thank you
merci pour cette vidéo et cette découverte. la pince fournie accepte-t-elle un iPhone 14 PRO MAX avec la Coque RhinoShield s'il vous plaît? merci.
Any word from Accsoon if this will be available for Android at some point?
Please look up Accsoon M1, it's an older product but supports Android.
Does this allow you to bypass the 30minute recording limit on Sony cameras? How did the app perform continuously for longer sessions 45minutes+
This one seems way better than the Android one. I have many Android phones, iPhones and an iPad and I was waiting for an accsoon equivalent for iOS. Thanks for the review!
What are the android ones, BTW? I would love to check one of those out!
@@ShawnRead1 it's the same company, Accsoon M1 UVC and it's cheaper, like 90€/$.
@@REMY.C. Thanks, RC, I will check it out; hopefully it has good-ish reviews!
You will get much better picture quality with the SeeMo. M1 uses the MJPEG codec, which is less efficient than the H264 codec used in SeeMo. 20 Mbps in M1 is equivalent to 2-5 Mbps in SeeMo.
@@nkisystems thanks for the info, as far as I know this version is only for iOS. Unless I missed the point.
I was so hoping you’d do a review & BOOM there it is..great work as always. 🎥🖋💪🏻
Wheres the one that can hold an ipad?
Caleb, if I use this with my Panasonic GH5 in manual focus - will I be able to touch the screen to focus the camera (like I can with the Panasonic Image App or FieldMonitor App)?
Hey Caleb, quick question.. as it relates to livestream... Can it stream to a custom rtmp? This looks pretty cool for my work but we use our own website to stream, instead of TH-cam etc. Lemme know please. Thanks 👍
Also is this iphone only?
It supports custom RTMP, just need to fill the URL and code then you can do the livestream.
SeeMo will work with iPhone and iPad, it's iOS only. You can stream to any RTMP destination, including cloud studios like Lightstream Studio. That way, you can invite guests and add overlays while streaming to multiple platforms without a computer.
Caleb, do you have a video about creating our own lutz?
Is that the only way to used your old iphone (iphone 6 plus) into a monitor? I would love to use my old iphone as a monitors on my iphone 15 Pro Max
What cable do you use from the device to the phone? I saw usb c output
There are two cables included, a USB-C to USB-C cable for iPad with USB-C port and a USB-C to Lightning cable for iPhone and older iPads.
Amazing!
Is there an option for Android smartphones?
Thanks Caleb. I tried to use your amazon link but nothing came up. I went ahead and searched and purchased after using your link though so hopefully you'll get the credit for it.
This is a great devuice whats the minimum IOS needed - and could it be used with an iPod
If you hit menu on the camera, will the menu for the camera show on the phone? I have a broken LCD screen on one of my cameras and was wondering on the menu features of the camera itself.
Awesome video. Excellent information and really answers a lot of questions I have about this device. However, I'd like to know two things...
1. Can I use this for still photography?
2. Will this work with a Canon Rebel T7?
1, Yes if your camera can output video via HDMI when set to photo mode, but it can's support image files transmission because HDMI can only support video transmission.
2, Yes if Rebel T7 can output 1080p video via HDMI.
Been waiting for something like this.
Wait whuat? Is this really happening? I've never won anything in my life?! Also what's telegram?
Can this be used with a palmcorder form the early 90’s with no built-in lcd?
Nice vid. I got mine about a week ago haven’t had time to dig into it. Can you share how can I import a LUT to the app so I can use it for monitoring? And if I can import more than one? Thanks! I’ll check out other vids I like your vibe 🥃
I'd like to see you use this for an upcoming livestream. Some things I'm curious about: 1 - what are the minimum iPhone specs to use this device? 2 - does this mean you can use the ear pods as a microphone for livestreaming?
iphone 6S PLUS is work
@@张哲祥 This is the kind of reply I like to hear!
what about recording on your phone with the lut applied? seems like it is only capable of recording the log footage?!
Hi, I was just wondering if this thing would let you monitor audio with any bt headphones or just AirPods… I am looking into using this as a portable hdmi display (also will the app work with the Apple hdmi adapter instead?)
Great video. Question?? How can I go live using my IPad Pro and my IPhone to get the code? I did it once using my MacBook Pro. When I’m using my MacBook on Facebook I can recover the code going through the steps. So how can I receive the code using my IPhone to copy and paste into the iPad that’s attached to the camera?
Man so many uses and that streaming anywhere option would be great! Tempting
I'm mostly excited to get one of these to send a feed from my ATEM Mini and live stream from any where.
Yes, we've tested SeeMo with ATEM Mini with no issues.
It also looks like the "tilt" function is quite loose. Could be distracting if recording action and a lot of camera movement.
what is the resolution and quality of the screenshot images that the app can save? is it a high quality jpg? or is it the same as if you just pressed the up volume and screen lock button on the iPhone normally?
