    Just here to say nice work man. Idk how long you've been at this TH-cam thing but your going to do big things! Production looks great, your video is almost perfect length (10 min is that sweet spot) and I lo e your attitude! Keep it up. You earned a new sub today!

      I really appreciate that. I've been at it somewhere around a year and a half (seriously, that is) and although I haven't seen much traction, the feedback I get from viewers like you keeps me motivated. So thank you and good luck out there!

    One of the gratest advantages of this app is that the tethered connection is almost realtime. Also, the hotshoe smartphone holders cost around 10 to 20 euros.
    I just ordered one myself.
    A smartphone monitor is a no-brainer

    The greatest thinng that I miss in the app is the metering. Using slog 3 and constantly looking for that +1,7 expo would have been nice to have it. But... in my opinion what is a real game changer is the ability of focusing directly from the app (or "monitor"), which is the most annoying thing of using an external monitor, looking back and forth between the camera display and the monitor for tracking AF when needed. So... i bought a couple of days ago the full version of the app and looking for using it on the field ASAP. But I feel that my Ninja V is going to get some dust... :P Congrats for the video!!

    • @rechertz8445
      @rechertz8445 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe Using focus point link with auto iso with exposure compensation and appropriate metering mode will help you nail 1.7+ exposure. But more than 1.7+ exp what matters to me personally is if the subject is properly exposed. In case of bright scenes switching to slog 2 helps.

    Like so many ideas, this sounds good, but it is incredibly buggy. I can easily connect wirelessly (free version) but never see anything but the connection screen. If I hit "tap to connect" it says I'm already connected. Okay, so just get the paid version, except the "download now" button on the website doesn't lead anywhere. Well, maybe I need to create an account first...except apparently there is no way to do that. Like I said, great idea, but I just wish companies would launch only after they've worked out the bugs. I'll try back in a few months (unless any of you have any suggestions).

    I have an iPhone and it doesn’t let me connect via cable. I think it’s only done with an android device. With the iPhone I have a lot of lag with my new ZV-e10. I’m suspecting because this camera doesn’t have a 5ghz wifi. My question for you is, I’m debating if I should get an android tablet just for this app so I can use a cable or might as well get a cheap field monitor that costs around 170. What would you do in my case? I mostly will be using it for run and gun situations and of course less lag is important. I honestly see this app has a lot of potential but never thought of buying an android device just for an app. Would it be worth it with per say a cheap fire tablet or get a monitor like the Feelworld? Thanks.

    • @SamuelJamesVideos
      @SamuelJamesVideos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's an interesting situation. Doesn't the ZV e10 have a flip screen? What's wrong with the monitor on there? If you just want more real estate to look at then I think your idea of a tablet is sound as long as you're not planning on buying an extremely cheap one (because it may not be able to handle the processing). To give you an example I tried to do the exact opposite of what you're saying and use an old ipad as a monitor for my DJI Mini 2 and it said something along the lines of "memory full" meaning it didn't have the processor speed to handle a monitoring app. The third option I could suggest to you is check their webpage for compatibility and see what exactly you'd need to run it with your camera. Maybe you could buy a 1-2 year old flagship android phone for cheap somewhere like Swappa and get the portability of a phone but the benefits of an OLED screen with a built in battery. I hope this helps let me know if I can help with anything else

      @@SamuelJamesVideos , those older iPad (1-2GB) do not have enough memory to handle past what iOS is optimized for in which is why Apple never list its memory specs in general. You are totally fine with newer iPads because they are 3-8GB of memory. In general, its seems Android is better at real-time video input and that might have to do with most Android phones having the full range USB 2.0 or higher speeds and they typically have higher and even overkill memory. This one of many reasons why I switched over from iPhone to OnePlus. The restrictions on iOS are annoying unless its jail broken.

    • @Superjeanmarc
      @Superjeanmarc 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SamuelJamesVideos Never thought about being a phone, only to use as monitor... but it might actually be a good idea as having your phone on the camera, is personally a hassle for me as I use my phone for many things while shooting.. going from checking Shot lists, image references, testing framing with viewfinder app or doing BTS... or even, well, calling someone.. haha... So, as a iPhone user, i can also confirm that this App is NOT usable in real life, because of the lack of wired connection and massive lag...
      I used it on my FX3 with has 5ghz wifi and it doesn't solve the lag problem unfortunately..
      I currently use a 5" field monitor from Portkeys (BM5 III) which is works great, but add to the weight and requires NPF battery.
