I’m a Lucio main and I loved seeing you smile when you discovered wall riding, he’s definitely one of the most fun characters to play especially if you know how to build up speed with him
Lucio's wallride raises him slightly, so if you're wallriding a column you'll eventually climb it. But the real way to climb is to jump off the wall and re-ride it. Jumping off a wall gives you some height, so you can do that repeatedly to climb a wall, just make sure you don't fall off the side or anything so you either alternate directions or better if you find a corner.
I'm so happy you're having fun with this game. I can already see an improvement from your first overwatch video. Keep at it! Don't let the outside negativity and toxicity in! You're doing great!
So glad to see youre enjoying the game !! :) love that you got to have some people support you on Twitch 💙 I hope you keep having fun the more you play, you're improving so much since the first time you played already !!
It's so cool watching someone get into Overwatch in 2024. I've been playing on and off since around 2016 and have been a perpetual bronze/silver/gold player (the 3 lowest competitive ranks). The game is still fun to me but taking breaks from it is necessary at times. "We can't quit on a loss" is a slippery slope that has led to many sessions of loss after loss after loss that just leaves you burnt out on the game. I'm glad to see you having fun. I love that you watched the cinematics before playing because the experience of Overwatch's story versus the gameplay can be quite a shock. You've probably had countless offers from others but I'll throw my hat in the ring too, would love to join you for a few matches if you're up for that sort of thing! Overwatch is so much more fun with other people. Just an offer, I know that teaming up with randoms isn't something most streamers do.
I was perma stuck gold, good game knowledge and all that as a long time player, but I realized the thing that was holding me back was overstimulation and anxiety. Try playing with very low sound, no comms, taking your time on every shot, and whatever you need to reduce anxiety (reduce caffeine, medication, walk around for 5 minutes between each game). I could be wrong and you very well may be a different person from me, but once I found my zen, it was like I was looking at my games as a relaxed spectator and I just climbed.
These are so interesting and cool watch, cause its one thing to watch someone try overwatch that has played alot of games. But you are completely new to fps games which makes it so much more fun.
This. I've seen soooo many "first time overwatch" series, but this is just fascinating (and slightly infuriating at times). I'm interested to see the pace at which he'll learn.
This is fascinating to watch. You’re doing great. I’d love to keep watching you play like this. There are tons of tutorials on TH-cam on how to get better, but you look like you’re having a ton of fun and you are learning the game naturally. This game is super overwhelming, but you will understand it soon enough.
Hello! Today's tip is basically a brief description and a general idea of what a support role is. Support has to juggle between keeping your teammates healthy and being aware about enemies getting close to you. Some teammates are reckless and will always launch themselves in front of the enemies where no ammount of healing will save them. So always evaluate if it's worth following a teammate or not, trying to keep them full hp as much as you can without risking yourself to die. Also have an escape route if the plan fails. Its not an easy job and requieres some multitasking, so don't be worried if it doesn't work too well on the first games. I hope I can catch you livestreaming sometime!
To piggyback on this, never follow a teammate Sombra. If she's close, you can heal them but since they are an invisible infiltrator, following them as a healer is dangerous for both of you.
little tip about health types. there are 4 types of health white hp = normal health orange hp = armour (that portion of your health pool takes less damage) blue = shield health (shield health regens quickly) green = overhealth (this is additional normal health that u usually get from abilities or ultiamtes like lucios, it's temporary and degreades over time)
Don't listen to any particular sensitivity suggestion. Everyone is different, you need to see how you move your mouse. Here's what you do for mouse sensitivity: Pick a hero you like. Pick a stationary target at any map. It could be any point you can identify: Top of a pole could be nice, something that's not too wide or big. Stand at a medium distance from it; a distance you would expect a typical fight to take place. Keep your crosshair at the target, then start moving left and right by alternating A and D; not too fast, change directions maybe once or twice a second. Keep doing that and trying to keep the crosshairs on the target. Obviously you will try to do this by moving the mouse in the opposite direction that you're moving. So you press A while turning right, and press B while turning left, trying to keep the crosshair roughly at the same spot. Now, if you are able to keep the crosshair on your target consistently, that's perfect. Your work is done. If you find yourself consistently overshooting and going a bit too much the opposite direction when you're trying to compensate your movement with your aim, then your sensitivity is too high. Lower it, try again. If you find yourself consistently falling behind (trailing) and not being able to move the crosshair fast enough to keep it back at the target, then your sens is too low. Raise it, try again. Do this until you feel comfortable moving and keeping your mouse at the specific point you picked. That's your sensitivity.
i remember when i first started out, i was 14 and dva was the first hero i wanted to practice with, i was so nervous during my first voice chat match because i was still learning the ropes 😅 but someone on my team helped me out, gave me tips, taught me the trick where you use her boosters then use her ultimate to make the flying bomb. it was a really great first experience using voice chat, since people are usually toxic. now i’m 20 and having a lot of fun watching you learn!
Gah, I missed the stream!! BUT I won't miss the next! I'm excited to be there for it, and I'd love to hop on and play some games with you and other viewers, sounds like a total blast!
as a lucio main I aproove of your content, I'd say he's easy to play optimally because you heal passively around you so you don't need to focus on that. All the wall riding is really just extra cool fancy stuff. It's really fun, but a bit hard to learn and chaotic. Overall, a "simple" and versatile hero with a lot of room to grow At the end of the day, have fun with trying out different stuff, we all wish you nothing but the best! * salute emoji *
For your mouse i would advise 400-1200dpi (most use around 800dpi on average) and ingame-sensitivity overall 2-10% depending on the character (average of 6-7% works fine for most heros). Most people use way to high dpi and/or seinsitivity, so it might take you a while to adjust, but after a while you will hit shots way more consistent
Dva might be the best character you can play right now while you learn. She is one of the strongest tanks in the game, if not the strongest. Easy to play and understand.
As a tank you dont need to worry as much about dying. You and the enemy tank are the two people on the field with the most sustainability. Push up, hold your position for your team and trust your support to heal you. Naturally this is eaiser said than done but thats the general aim. All about holding space. Similar to Chess if you’re familiar with Chess strategy. All in all, all progress is good progress, listen to feedback your community gives and take everything at your own pace. Loving the videos, keep them coming. I just started your FF7 rebirth playthrough. Enjoying your energy
if you ever feel bad for dying a lot, my friend who has been playing for years racked up 21 deaths in a match TWICE a couple weeks ago. also I've been a Moira main since she was added years ago, and I still mix up my left and right c: you'll get used to it. Moira is so much fun.
I HIGHLY recommend starting out with characters that don’t really precise aim to deal damage, those being Roadhog, Junkerqueen, Dva, Reaper, Moira, and Pharah. I would also say that Tank characters are probably good to start out with because of their high health pool. More health means you aren’t punished as much for your mistakes, and you simply live longer. It also looks like your mouse sensitivity is REALLY high and it’s likely the reason it’s been difficult for you to hit shots. I recommend playing on a much lower sensitivity to give you more control over your aim!
@@falseparadox3838 This sort of setting is HIGHLY dependant on feel and playstyle. I'm a high sens player and I'm very used to it. I think before even thinking about sensitivity you need to know if he even has the ability to opperate the mouse with the arm and if that's comfortable for him. OW isn't like other shooters and sens is really hero dependent.
I literally love watching this, but I need to take breaks. I cannot help but cringe sometimes haha. Seeing you walk away from enemies and get stuck on something instead of attacking or fleeing reminds me of my first time. You do seem to be getting better, and you don't have any bad habits like I do. For example, I constantly reload. If I have even one bullet missing I will reload and sometimes that causes my death when I should be attacking. You're not corrupted by any bad habits yet, so I assume you'll just keep getting better!! Edit: Another honorable mention of Saturn's skills is the way he stands and watches as the enemy captures the point and then is confused why they lost 😭 Keep learning, man! You got this, but that is so funny to me.
To find a good sensitivity for you, try to turn 180 degrees in game from one edge of your mousepad to the other edge. Generally lower sensitivity is better for aim, check your mouse's DPI and set your in-game sensitivity to whatever is comfortable. The sensitivity values in game multiply your DPI, so if you have 800 DPI and 7 sensitivity, you'll have an eDPI of 5,600 (Medium sens). If you have a DPI of 1,600 and 7 sensitivity, you'll have an eDPI of 11,200 (High sens). There are websites that can calculate your eDPI for you aswell. Generally you want an eDPI of ~4,000-6,000 but some characters might need more or less. For reference, my DPI is 1,000 and my in-game sensitivity is 7.25, which equals an eDPI of 7,250 (High sens). Of course you can ignore all of this if you aren't comfortable with the suggested sensitivity, this stuff isn't that important right now. Lower sensitivity while also being able to turn around is the best option if that's comfortable for you 😁.
Hey, i followed you on twitch, missed your stream but do you have a stream schedule or is it more like a stream at random times kind of thing xD, ps love your videos.
