Stay with your team, especially with Lucio, the number under your cross hair tells you how many people are affected by your health/speed. Team play is everything in overwatch

Ajax in your FIRST game is hilarious! For context, there was once a professional overwatch player called "Ajax" who had his ultimate cancelled 3 times in 1 pro-match (this happens when Lucio is stunned during the beat drop animation, like getting speared by Orisa in your case). From that point onwards whenever a Lucio's ultimate get's cancelled it's called an "Ajax", getting "Ajaxed", or "Ajax-ing". Dont worry though, it happens more than you'd imagine so congrats on your first Ajax! -from a Lucio Main

Hello! Lucio main here with over 900 hours on him to give you some tips:
    - Crossfade lets you switch to speed and heals. you should almost always be on speed to help your team engage in fights, and swap to heals when they need healing.
    - You can also quick swap between both if you are taking a fight to make you have unpredictable movements.
    - There is a large circle around you (your aura) that shows how close you need to be to your teammates for them to have the effects of your speed and heals.
    - Only use amp it up to speed teammates from spawn, into a fight, or if multiple teammates get critical or low, amp healing.
    - Use soundwave to push enemies from your team or off of maps to secure elims.
    - Lucio has some of the best mobility in the game, and it is difficult to get a hold of. Once you do and can skim walls and get good rollouts, you can be a very hard target to hit and a good support for your team (playing on the ground is okay too sometimes) You can also wallride on basically any surface (even trees!)
    - Lastly, save his ultimate to counter enemy ults or making a push that might have been difficult without it.
If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer. Hope this helps! :D

Your first and fourth advice are good only when one has enough "game sense/knowledge" to adhere that to.
But if they do not know WHEN to swap, you're better off staying on heal unless using speed boost from spawn or to run away/disengage.
From what I've seen, he can't tell when teammates are low or critically low, so it's better to just use "E" when he's low or if he thinks the team is low because he's in the middle of a fight.
As for saving ultimate, that's not the greatest advice to give to a new player because they will literally end up never using it at all since it's mostly about timing and that's tough to figure.

Idk if anyone has said this yet but some characters have abilities that instant reload so it can sometimes help in 1v1s. Also, on lucio using speed a bit more can help your team escape or push into fights, healing when necessary is good but both are important since lucio and juno are the only ones who can provide speed

Idk if you noticed but doomfist's fist gets powered up if you block enough damage or landing after the ult. With an empowered punch you can punch further, stun enemys longer, punches them further back and damages them more. And if you punch somebody and they hit their back on a solid wall they get more damage, it doesnt matter if empowered or not.

Riding the walls and staying mobile is good. Makes it more difficult for the enemy. Your almost there. The rest is gonna come with experience. Learning the maps and being more aware of where your teammates are.

I'm not an expert on terminology but characters like Doomfist, Echo, and Venture are characters I'd call assassins or harassers. Jump in, do damage (hopefully get a kill), jump out, reset, rinse and repeat. Those 3 characters are my personal favorite to play but are easy to fail in the wrong scenario, very ability focused and knowing when to use your ability to engage in a fight or use it to escape

Tip of the day: If you have extra buttons on the side of your mouse, bind both the reload button and melee to them. Those are really really common actions you should be doing most of the games. Some people even bind crouch there, but in my case I don't have that many free buttons.

    @WaveOfDestiny หลายเดือนก่อน

i think the main thing you have to focus now, where you can gain more progress, other than learning the characters abilities and get comfortable with pressing the buttons on the keyboard, is to die less. Most of the time you don't realize that you are walking straight into the enemy team or don't realize they are shooting you from the flank. What first person shooter players normally do is instinctually have a feeling where it's dangerous to be in and where it's safe. The dangerous space is obviously where the enemy team is, but it is also where the enemy team can shoot you and can move towards you, which could be much further away, but also you have to take into account that enemy players can take flanking routes or appear from somewhere else. this is why the most important thing i think for now, especially when playing support, is to know where the safe space is. the safe space is obviously with your team, and behind it, and all the places where your allies can protect you by healing you, shielding you, pushing off aggressors, and shoot the enemy away, but don't forget about actual cover and medkits on the map. Of course there is so much going on at first that it is difficult to not get distracted by what's in front of you, but one of the most important skills is to know that enemies and friends exist and have an effect even when you don't see them, which sounds obvious, but it can be hard to keep in mind when the battle starts and there are a lot of people around. You die a lot when your team is already weakened or separated, and instead of remaining in your safe space, behind cover, or grouped with somebody else, you decide to go in the enemy space and try to shoot the whole enemy team. It's not that you can't do it, dps characters like to peek and get a kill, but it's that you are not staying in a safe space, and the enemy can easily crush you, as there is nothing to protect you, and you can't escape.
while tank characters are the ones who mainly create safe space for your team and push the enemy space back, all characters can do it. each hero has different abilities that change what is considered safe and dangerous.
Of course the game is much more complicated than that, but this is where to start. Every time you die, don't be too frustrated, it means that you are learning and getting better, the brain does that automatically, but by paying attention you can accelerate the process.
At one point the brain instinctually starts firing certain neurons to indicate you what is a dangerous place and what is a safe space and what is a gray zone, without you having to think much about it, but you have to realize what you did wrong when you die at the beginning to actually make that start happening.

Lucio's heal/speed circle aura needs line-of-sight (LOS) to affect his teammates. Basically meaning it won't pass thru walls. So that can sort of inform where you want to position yourself based off where your team is.

as lucio, use speed boost whenever you are walking from spawn, use amp it up (e) on speed boost when rushing in with your team or escaping. But its better to be on heal boost most of the time. you should toggle between them back and forth depending on the situation. Rightclick is a boop you can use to push enemies that are close to you away. It can be used to push people of the map or off the objective, or to save teamates or yourself from enemies that do high damage in close range. Your wallride increases you movement speed and jumping off walls increases it even further. If you want to go into battle quickly you should practice wallriding and jumping to different walls while amping it up on speed boost. Lucio has a very high skill sealing.

  • @EliasBremer
    @EliasBremer หลายเดือนก่อน

Lucio's ultimate gives everyone around you a massive chunk of overhealth that should be used during an enemies damage ultimate to negate it's effect.
Team kill means either your entire team or the entire enemy team were dead at the same time.

    Well done, getting better!
One tip I can give, is try to be more aware of your team mate's health bars when you play support.
Heal your team mate's whose health bars are not fully filled, especially the ones that says "Critical" on your team mate's health bar.
Also, it's not really worth running in and trying to 1v5 the opposite team 😂. Better to wait for your team mates to regroup 😊

I'm not sure if you've received advice like this, because even for average players it's uncommon, but this is pretty beneficial to learn early on: Positioning is one of if not the most important part of this game. This comes with time after learning the maps, but in the meantime, a good principle to have is to *always* have a way out. Whether that's behind a wall with a health pack, a short distance back to your team, or an ability that you rely on to get out of a sticky situation. Especially as a support. Practice thinking as often as possible, how could I get out of this area quickly if I needed to?
Hope that helps, and I'm glad you're enjoying the game. :)

I think the best thing to do as a beginner is to pick one hero you like after trying them out in the practice range, then sticking with them for quite a while until you've gotten more used to how the game plays etc. After a while you'll be able to switch to other characters more easily. Even if you don't fully know their kit you'll still have a basic understanding of how things work. :)
Edit: I forgot you have to unlock all the characters by playing... but you can try sticking to one of the ones you have at least :P

But I will say I have taught quite a few friends how to play and watching them just be terrible is my favorite thing in the whole world because it is so great when they start picking up the game and they start getting kills and they start getting super excited. I love that so much... Just be patient and stick with it, also, it might not hurt to watch a few other players play the game to get a few pointers. But I'm loving this blind learning.

This was a really fun stream to watch! I kept telling myself "good" "okay do this", basically coaching you in my head.
Something ive noticed is that youve improved a lot especially in the aspect of aiming and looking at people.
I recommend you use your abilities more because lots of times, you hold on to them till last second. Also, when people push forward after getting the point its because theyre trying to distract the enemy team from the point so it goes up while you guys fight and another reason is so the enemies cant touch the point because of the overtime advantage, some do it just to get more kills tho.
Very fun stream tho, i couldnt watch cuz it was 1 am for me but im glad i got to watch this.

As Lucio, you should almost always be near your tank player and giving them speed boost. Only switch to your passive healing whenever you see them taking damage. Your speed boost provides the most value to your teammates. You move faster and are harder (nearly impossible) to kill if you are speed boosting and wall riding. Practice a match or two where you do not shoot your gun AT ALL. Just work on providing speed to your team and timely heals and getting good at living on the walls.

Fun fact about Doomfist: before he was in the game people wanted him to be played by Terry Cruz.
Fun fact about Sigma: He prefers to go barefoot, much to the displeasure (or pleasure) of some fans.
Fun fact about Zenyatta: He likes to lie about what he did before becoming a monk, he says things like he was a barista for example.
Fun fact about Lucio: He may not have a cinematic, but the only released piece of the playable story mode that was planned then infamously cut, centers around him saving his town.
Fun fact about Kiriko: Her age breaks the canon, she is said to have trained alongside Hanzo and Genji, even though they are nowhere close in age.

Your Lucio games were way better than my first Lucio games. I'm a Tracer main so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I'd recommend shooting and using amp it up a lot more. Many times you could have killed the enemy and prevented your death, but you just didn't shoot again. That's okay because you are focusing on healing and speed boost, but that's just what I've noticed. For amp it up, focus on who is critical health and use amp it up around them. I hope to be able to make it for your next stream! Chat is doing really well at giving you tips so you just keep improving.

Just a little tip. 53:23 This is called "staggering" and it's often why you will lose games, in my experience anyway. It's when a teammate, dies, respawns and rushes back to the objective despite 3 or 4 of their team mates being dead, resulting in a chain of people rushing in to a full team for no reason. You can see how Lucio fell back immediately because he wanted to stay alive and group up with everyone, yet you rushed in (not knowing) that your team had died. Obviously you are new, its fine, but I wanted to point out that this is something you want to avoid in general. The only time I can see someone justifying rushing in by themselves is if there's only 2 people on objective on the enemy team and you have an ult that can handle them.
