I had a good laugh 😂people can try and call you trash all they want but they're the ones frowning while you're enjoying yourself! I saw some improvement from last time! Just a little, but progress I'd say. The moving while shooting is definitely the best tip you should follow, it takes a lot of getting used to but it's important!
Since you were curious, the modes works like this: Control - both teams fight over the same objective zone, taking turns attacking and defending depending on who has control of the zone. There are three rounds total, best of three. Escort - One team attempts to escort the payload to the finish, the other teams attempts to stop them. Hybrid - One team defends an objective zone, the other team tries to capture it. If the attacking team captures the objective zone, then they must also escort a payload just like in Escort. Flashpoint - Basically the same as Control, but on one giant map with five different potential objective zones that you will run around to, rather than having rounds in-between that award points. First team to capture 3 objective zones wins. Push - Both teams try to escort the push bot to the enemy teams end zone, taking turns defending and attacking depending on who is in control of the bot. Clash - Basically like Flashpoint, but in a linear fashion. Both teams try to capture the objective zones as they unlock. First team to five points wins. Hopefully this helps!! Love the videos!!
I find it very funny, you seem to understand high ground, which a lot of players who’ve played longer don’t seem to understand. Same for using corners for cover. I also really loved how you went after the Mei in the second game and you started mimicking their movement (left right left right) and actually almost got her in the process! As for text chat: don’t mind people getting angry, they usually blame their bad performance on someone else. :P You could turn off text chat if you want. If you do want to chat, the key to chat is Enter. If you want to swap between text channels: press TAB while in chat mode. Text Channels include: - green: personal party messages - purple: friends messages - blue: team messages -red/orange: team+enemy messages. I’m really looking forward to seeing more! Hope you enjoy everything so far! :D
A few pointers in case you want some. Each game mode has an objective. Control (your first match in the video) requires you to capture a control point and defend it. Once it has been captured the capture percentage counts up for your team indicated by the blue percentage on the top center of your screen. If it's in the control of the enemy team, the red percentage will tick up. The round is won once one team reaches 100% while no member of the enemy team is standing on it. It's a best of 3, so you need to win 2 rounds in order to win a match. - You capture a control point by standing on the marked area, speed increasing with the number of teammates present. - You can only capture a point when no enemy is standing on it at the same time. - Once you have captured a point the capture percentage will begin ticking up for your team without you needing to be on it. Escort (your second match) requires the attackers to push a payload to the end of the map within the time limit by standing near it or prevent the other team from doing so if you're on the defending side. - Each map has checkpoints along the way. Each checkpoint reached adds extra time for the attackers. - The payload will roll back towards the last checkpoint if no attacking players are near it for ten seconds. - Defending players can stay within range of the payload to contest it, stopping it from moving forward. - The payload moves faster when more attackers are near it (maxes at 3 people). - Fun fact: Attackers within range of the payload are healed at a rate of 10 health per second. There are three four more game modes. Hybrid is a game mode mixing Control and Escort meaning attackers have to capture a point first and then escort a payload to the end of the map. The other game modes are Clash, Flashpoint, Push. But the post is arlready quite long and you haven't encounterd those yet, so I'll stop here.
It's good to see you're improving at a really fast rate. Last time i mentioned the tip that "if any sound is loud, it's probably important enough to pay attention to it". The tip i can offer you now is actually something you are naturally doing a lot without noticing, but its always a very important skill to have in mind, which is "play around cover". Basically learning to engage into a fight near a piece of wall, colum or simply walk back to hide, and if possible plan an escape route in case everything goes wrong. This is something you will hone more the more familiar you're with the maps, but you would be surprised at the amount of experienced players that play in the wide open almost asking to get shot.
Someone tell the poor bloke that Illari's primary is also charging xD don't repeatedly press to shoot. Wait a second or two for the bar to charge. Those red bots in training mode? You can 3shot them. Or maybe even two shot. You can also pick up the ultimate (You actually did once by accident) in practice range. Outside of the spawning area on the left (next to the green jump thingie). You can also see enemy tracer there. There's a tablet/ console next to her, you can press H and change the hero which will appear instead. They added this, when Echo joined the game, coz her ult allows you to copy any enemy. You can also try healing the friendly bots who are taking hits from those red bots shooting them. AND there's consoles there too, to either give friendlies a shield or enemy bots a rocket launcher. Try moving up too. It's a 3D game, so make use of heights too, and move your mouse upwards with some heroes to reach higher ground (Dva, Widow, Echo, Symmetra's Teleport, Pharah, etc.) Let me continue watching, I might come back for being a smartass some more. But rly, I hope u find these tips helpful ❤
Oh yes, Illari's ultimate. You press Q, go up in the air (hold space to go even higher), aim at a group of enemies and shoot. THEN keep shooting them while they're still glowing from your ult. That will cause an explosion after. The more damage you do while they glow, the more dmg the explosion will do. Also counts if allies shoot them while they glow. Tadaaaa
genuinely ur doing well for a new player u have a good base understanding of high ground, cover, working somewhat next to ur team, not running out into he open in long straights alone etc u wouldn't believe how long it takes some players to learn these things. dw about toxic chat u will get that a lot as ur learning.
@SolitarySaturn a few tips. use the "I need healing" comms button.Inot sure exactly what it's set to on PC, but if you go to setting communication, it should tell u the key bind somewhere in there. this will just alert your supports that ur low health but obviously don't do it when ur out of position like alone in the enemy team be aware of hero's optimal damage ranges. the game does have damage drop off, which varies per hero. so, for example, widow maker, a sniper obvious has a very long range... so if ur soldier who's mid range, u don't want to engage with her down a long straight... her gun will be doing full damage your gun will not. ashe likewise stay away from long sights against her as soldier. someone like junkrat can spam bouncing grenades at distance but is so much more deadily in a short space, especially since it's enclosed. u rarely if ever want to engage a junkrat in a small room soldier 76 damage starts dropping off around 30m. if u go into the practice range and turn right past the healing bots, u'll a bot on your left and some metre marker intervals on the floor... this will give u an idea of what the 30m in game looks like. headshots do more damage in general shooting supports, and dps generates more ultimate charge than shooting tanks. when using soldiers ultimate, n wait until u have a 2 or more enemies in site, preferably when u have a good angle. place your heal station down first and then use ur ult. aim anywhere near their head ur bullets will find their way to head shots. don't target tanks with this ultimate unless they're already half or lower in heal. soldiers gun is what is called hitscan ...meaning his bullets have no travel time and vertical drop. so always aim directly on target. someone like soujourns basic fire I'd what's called projectile ... meaning it'll have travel time and/or vertical drop (for some characters, like torbjorn). those characters u sometimes needs to lead your shots at distances... so aim slightly infornt of the direction the enemy is travelling in so they run into your bullets as they arrive be careful chasing down kills. u don't want to run too far from your team for the sake of trying to finish of someone low. u might also end up running into thier tms as they fall back and then get yourself killed. ow is as much about protecting space, tms and the objective as it is about chasing kills. how from your team u play is determined by how mobile your character is. so solider has sprint ges mid range flanker meaning he can run off short distances around to the side or to take an angle or catch out a straggler and then run back to his team. mei has no Mobility which means she shud be playing with team at all times and more defensively. lastly look through the key binds for your push to chat or type chat key... just let players know ur completely new and they shud be a little more forgiving don't want to bombard u with too much lol but hopefully there's some stuff in their that's useful
I'd recommend just playing 2 hero's to start. 1 to play for most games and another incase someone takes them first. Enjoying seeing a new player learn the game
Hey, if you want to play Illari, notice her gauge around the reticle on center of screen, it charges up each shot, so if you spam them, you'll be doing the minimum damage, you gotta shoot her shots more slowly :)
Different characters can have unique UI elements that affect game play, like Illari's gun does more damage when the bars by the crosshair are more full. Also try to learn just a few characters so you can get a feel for the game, maybe two or three per role. Each character plays so differently that spreading your playtime across them all will be worse than just leaning fully into a few you like, you'll figure out how other characters play through seeing them in match. Loving your videos man! This game can be overwhelming at times, glad you're having fun!
You improved drastically since the first video! Way to go! What's important is to have fun though, and you looked like you had a blast! (Well, that last game was very rough, but your entire team was struggling.)
I've been enjoying watching your videos lately! It's nice to see the perspective of a new OW2 player, as I have been playing since 2017, and it makes me happy to see new players having fun with the game. I recommend watching OW streamers such as Emongg or KarQ to learn more about characters, mechanics, and map knowledge. They also make TH-cam videos for different characters!
Love the intro lol! You can type back to friends and folks in your game by pressing enter. Support playstyles can vary as far as playing team oriented vs damage oriented, and different supports will naturally have different healing-to-damage ratios. I main Lucio, for example, and his healing output is relatively low in general so even if I'm playing very team oriented, the scoreboard may still look like I'm not doing much there. Learning support and starting out from a very heal-heavy mindset is how I eased into the game. Losing a member of your team in a teamfight is never good, and as a newer player who'll likely get matched with a lot of other new players, just being able to keep your full team up is kind of a good "first skill" to build in the game. Kinda builds that gamesense muscle, too, since it'll put you in a mindset of knowing where enemies AND allies are. If the shift key or any other button is in an awkward spot for you the options allow you to change your keybinds around, which I found super helpful. Just running through the keybinds too could help. Like LCONTROl is the ctrl button bottom left of the keyboard. it's super awkward there i rebound the ground pound to space for Hammond. Also the ground pound only triggers while Hammond is in the air that's why it wasn't enabled for you. That is Hammond's mech talking! He programmed it to translate his hamster squeaks so every Hammond voice line is him squeaking while the mech translates for him. 25:48 god damn boy what a shot Gameplay's looking great so far! There's a ton to pick up on with Overwatch, even those of us who've been playing since 2016 still struggle with various facets of the game so don't ever feel discouraged with it! Glad you're having fun with it, just wait til you have access to those other heroes that actually caught your eye you're gonna have a blast!
I've turned my text/chat messages off. Some people can be toxic as hell. You can do that under options, social. I think you are definitely improving a little, already. Keep up the good work!
Im glad to see you back on overwatch :), i hope youre enjoying it. Just here to answer some of your questions. First of all, youre doing way better than last time, youve improved a lot and it shows because you got way more eliminations than before. I want to mention that when playing unranked, you pretty much gain nothing but experience, so whenever someone is saying mean stuff in the chat or complaining about losing, just remember that its a quick play match and you lose absolutely nothing from losing a game. Also, i think youve figured it out already but to open the chat you need to press enter. And also as soldier you cant run side ways, only forward. And when taking on other people id recommend using your biotic healing just to gain an extra advantage, and dont worry about being to selfish with it because everyone in overwatch is. As i said before, i hope youre enjoying it :)
Lctrl = left ctrl Keyboard usually have 2 ctrl and 2 alt buttons, so to diffrentiate between them it is usually added "L" and "R" letters for left and right
i honestly understand how hard it is to learn new characters and because of that i've been playing the same 2 characters since i first played the game 2 years ago. from my experience you just naturally develop game sense over time so my advice would be to just take your time learning the characters you enjoy playing in quick play :>
Ive been playing overwatch for 7 years now, the most fun i have in this game is when im playing with friends. I love the gameplay and the lore and it is a great casual game to play. But it does make new players suffer more when they add new content. If you can, try playing with a friend or a fan of the channel to help you get to grips with the flow of the game as well as the character synergies. Good luck, keep it up and we'll see you in game x
Idk if anyone told him but if you press enter, it will open the chat menu. If you press tab in the menu, you'll switch chat tabs(team chat which is blue, match chat which is orange and private chat is pink. You can also pm a player by clicking on their name in chat. Wrecking ball and illari are very fun but they require alot of mechanical skill. I would stick to soldier and maybe reaper until you learn how the game works but feel free to try them out. As for soldier, you need to stay at long/medium range, and you're supposed to heal yourself, your team gets healing from your supports. Sorry if my grammar is bad, I'm swedish lol. Anyways love ur content and good luck with learning the game
Please don't mind the chat. Some people just can't help themselves. I think you're doing great so far! One tip I can give: I think it would help to look up the abilities of other characters, even if you don't plan on playing them much, so you know what you're up against. As they say, 'know thy enemy' :) Also, pressing and holding C should open up the communications wheel. You can say hello and use emotes!
8:05 You should try to keep them alive if you can but you don't have to trade your life for theirs if that makes sense. Support requires a lot of multi-tasking and you're usually the target if you're exposed. It's a very rewarding role but it is hard to get into. I'm a Diamond support and have been playing this game for so long it was interesting seeing how many things you're learning, some things I completely take for granted. Anyways I hope you're having fun and I'm looking forward to the progress. Very chill vibes I love it. Oh, I'd suggest disabling the text chat in matches in the options. People can be very toxic for no reason so it'll help to keep yourself focused on learning at your own pace. I honestly don't have any chats enabled since OW2 came out.
Enjoying your videos, it's really nice seeing your kindness trying to save your healings for your teammates. keep it up buddy I won't miss any of your videos 👍
Important to remember with control points, you or your team has to stay in the area to secure it. If it's at 99% but an opponent is on the square, it will not hit 100%. This is why many teams that are losing will rush to the point to stand on it, which will grant "Overtime" enabling the losing team to mount a comeback.
so since the release of overwatch 2, there have been a few new game modes added which have made things a little more complicated, but generally all the game modes revolve around one team trying to capture/escort an objective while the other team tries to stop them, or take it for themselves.
in high elo ranked matches, damaging with supports is too much useful than healing, but in low ranks, where players cant stay alive by yourself, people will be mad if you dont heal them hahahaha
I highly recommend turning on the subtitles/captioning settings (I think it's in the Accessibility menu or the Audio menu). It helps me a lot when I hear a lot of players activating their abilities and I can't tell if they're an ally or an enemy in the heat of the moment. Glancing at the captions to see if they're an ally or an enemy helps at a glance.
Hey don't know if you know but you can rebind the buttons of the abilities, and if you have a mouse with side buttons it might be easier. Also you can change your cross-hair to something different. I can't really give a cross-hair but maybe something smaller on hit-scan heroes like soldier will help.
@@SolitarySaturn I recommend setting a green dot for every character, or if you're up for it, look for guides on TH-cam "best crosshair settings overwatch" Personally, I use a green, hollow crosshair with four small, equal-sized lines extending outward (I don't know how to describe it sorry lol), and for snipers in scope mode, I use a green dot, but that's just my preference. Your crosshair doesn't have to be green, just pick a color that stands out the most for you.
To activate chat press enter. Then use tab button to switch chats between: 1. teammates chat - blue colour 2. general chat (teammates + enemies) - orange colour 3. friend group chat (if you enter the game with already in group with friends you will have 3rd chat with them only as an option) - green colour 4. personal chat (appears if you are speaking with someone in your friend list directly) - violet colour Colours can be changed in settings, but usually all this are default colours. Hope that will help you to navigate through chat. P.S By default, there is a baby mode on chat. It automatically censors profanity and other words in chat with ****. You can turn off it if you want, but I guess for friendly content you are making it's better to keep turned on. Sometimes chat is quite harsh place 😂
as a long time player, i am just enjoying see you make all the mistakes hehe. but don’t worry, we all made them. the best way to learn more is just by playing more. that said, the choice of enabling chat/audio is up to you in the settings. while it can be super fun to engage, sometimes the toxicity is a bit much.
I was hoping to give you tips while streaming, really looking forward to these uploads and getting to watch your improvement over the time! (There's a clear improvement from the last video and it seems you're getting use to the game more and more while still enjoying it "the important part") Now, a main tip that would be important for every other aspect of this game would be obviously getting more used to this game and the diverse keyboard inputs that you have to be aware of. As you're getting more used to the game, you'll be able to think of more things at once, being aware and concentrated about stuff like "What should i be doing now?" "What was my mistake?" and "What's the correct option/action always" You can develop all these things with time and just playing more and always remembering to have fun, because that's the point of the game, i'm not bombarding you with Advance tips or any of that because as for now, you don't feel stuck or you aren't trying to look for a way to inmediatly improve now, the best tip you could get it's just play more and develop a good sense of awareness as you get more used to this game in general. (Also quick note, to show how well game awareness could improve everyone's gameplay, in 35:40 where your entire team it's fighting in a choke and trying to leave spawn, placing your healing ability "E" For your team more than you, could support your team with more heals and a bigger opportunity to leave spawn, along with the bonus of free ultimate charge that you get for healing everyone else "You gain noticeable ultimate charge after dealing damage and healing". With that free ultimate charge you could've have an earlier opportunity to get kills after getting your Ultimate earlier than everyone, these little details are what a pro player it's aware of and take advantage all the time, now once again, if you want to improve more, just play the game more and once again (once again) have fun with this game!)
Text chat in qp often has people that take a casual game mode much too seriously. Some will throw (surrender) games because of a mistake made, or a comment taken to heart. I'm so glad they added the ability to mute individuals in text chat in season 13. I haven't much used the avoid player function unless the person is a blatant cheater, or hateful for hates sake.
I always recommend new players to start by playing support, not because it's easier but because it allows you to watch your team (while trying to keep them alive) and see how the game flows and where you should be/what you should be doing.
Also someone else might've said this already but the objective progress is always shown at the top of the screen (looks different between the game modes but always at top), very important to know how the game is going.
25:45 nice rocket! on that specific game mode you win by having control off the point with shows a percentage at the middle top of the scree first to 100 wins
Overwatch can be a lot to remember. You did well! The only way to learn the game is by playing. Can't wait for the next video. I main support heroes, so I was sitting there yelling at the Mercy to heal and boost you. 😂
you can rebind buttons in settings so you don’t have to reach all weird across the keyboard, can change for all heros or you can change for only one if need be!
also i believe in order to get the other characters you have to go to your challenge tab and under heroes you’ll be able to choose which character you want to unlock through either playing games or winning, not 100% sure lol i could be misremembering
Im pretty decent at this game, i would suggest u move and make yourself hard to hit, but moving your mouse while moving your moving makes aiming way harder. Is tottally okay to simplfy your movement for aim (if you need too). If the other team are looking at u need to dodge tho. Id also suggest lowering you sens to make ur aim more conistant. Not an aim guy, but ive had these tricks help me improve my aim alot.
You are getting better. While you are still getting some gamesense, i recommend you playing moira, mercy (supports) reinhart (tank), These characters are fun and require more gamesense than aim, so they are a great place to start.
Some advice on soldier: Try taking the high ground instead of being on the point the whole game make use of flanking on off angles (weird spots that the enemy wouldn’t be thinking you’re gonna try) and try not to waste your healing station since it has a pretty long cooldown on it lastly I recommend playing role queue instead of open queue because then you can focus on target prioritization since there is only 1 tank per team it would be cool to play with you I’m a Kiriko one trick and I’ve been stuck in bronze for like 6 months I’ll be honest with you though I never play soldier but I would say his range is mid range
There should be tutorial in practice section. that will explain you a little bit about objectives :) Do not focus on advices from people that much, you will figure basics by just playing and exploring the game. Maybe try games against AI first in practice range as well.
I'm uncertain what challenges you need to do since I've been playing since launch, however you might wanna check the challenges to see what you have to finish in order to get it.
For unlocking new heroes it's just by playing games. Wins grant double progress. If he clicks the orange button in the top right on the main menu and goes to the 'hero' tab he can see how many wins each one requires to unlock.
Dont expect good gameplay? I dont even expect gameplay! Lol Wait, wut, you have to UNLOCK characters? Thats wild, Ive never seen that lol. Its very interesting to watch someone so totally brand new to the game! Also Illari's ult, you can fly around while using it, and to make it explode you want to shoot the enemies you hit with it to make it explode. This is very interesting and fun to watch. Good luck with your journey of learning the game! :>
They added stuff with OW2 to better curate the new player experience and I think partially to discourage smurfing so for first time accounts you gotta go through all the hoops. I just didn't realize it was THAT slow of a process to unlock them all like god damn.
My recommendation, LOOK at the whole screen, not just the middle. See the info given. If you see reds killed 4 blues, didn't go in and try fight all 5 reds by yourself. I don't think I need to say why...
@@SolitarySaturn They mean your mouse sensitivity lol. Go into controls and change it. I think default is around 4. Move it down to maybe 2.5-3, and see if your cursor movement seems more fluid and predictable.
I have a feeling you should stay in casual matches for a couple of months. Overwatch is very fast-paced, and you need the twitch reflexes. If you play a lot of COD type games than you won't have a problem. If you come from more RPG type games you have a steep learning curve. People in quick play will still complain, but that just makes them stupid. Their complaints could be valid in ranked though.
do you perhaps have a discord people can join? it's fun when you have people to play with + it's easier to learn the game (unless you like being alone while playing ofc !)
Okay, it seems like you need aim training. You should focus more on using your mouse to look around. You're missing a lot of shots because your sight/crosshair isn't on the target you're trying to hit. also, headshots deal more damage I don't know if you knew that. You're doing alright I think it's hard for people to put themself in you're position most people have played other FPSs or other games where movement is important your like a kid trying to ride a bicycle for the first time. to the naked eye, it seems simple but there's a lot more to focus on than just paddling. you will get it with time
The saddest thing about TH-camrs and streamers is that they lack the the ability to LOOK. They see the screen but them they questions about things that are right in front of them! Heal the red guys? Oh, no those are the enemies. What about the blue guys, the only other color, with the crosses? Nah, just ignore those. Who's winning? Why wouldn't they put something like a scoring system easily visible? Maybe something in the middle of the screen, not blocking my view, obviously, but maybe a bit higher? I bet if they finally saw it, the question would be, "are we the red or the blue?"... Because apparently there are no indicators of the difference anywhere?! LMAO!!!🤣🤣🤣
Hey really enjoying the videos. You're doing really great learning the ways! I sent you a friend request in Overwatch. I'm Feral#11401. Would love to join up with you and anyone else who feels like adding you. Go ahead and accept friend requests at your leisure. No pressure, my dude!
Hey man I'd love to hop on some overwatch and teach you the ropes! I've got a good 1000-ish hours on the game and I love helping newer players learn characters and game mechanics! If you're interested I can add you on the game or on discord. let me know!
That disclaimer though! (I made that by the way as a joke) so don't go yell at Blizzard haha
and I already believed 😂
I had a good laugh 😂people can try and call you trash all they want but they're the ones frowning while you're enjoying yourself!
I saw some improvement from last time! Just a little, but progress I'd say. The moving while shooting is definitely the best tip you should follow, it takes a lot of getting used to but it's important!
I was gonna say you were being too hard on yourself 😂😂❤❤
as a experienced player if you ever want someone to help you play add my username empowick ill show you around
I got so confused for a second but that's hilarious
I got that disclaimer too when i first played. Don't worry not a big deal.
lol!
Since you were curious, the modes works like this:
Control - both teams fight over the same objective zone, taking turns attacking and defending depending on who has control of the zone.
Games are always the most fun when you are learning. For myself, it is more fun to watch a new player than the top 500 players.
You could turn off text chat if you want. If you do want to chat, the key to chat is Enter. If you want to swap between text channels: press TAB while in chat mode.
Text Channels include:
- green: personal party messages
- purple: friends messages
- blue: team messages
-red/orange: team+enemy messages.
I’m really looking forward to seeing more! Hope you enjoy everything so far! :D
i'm enjoying seeing you play, struggles and all. lol. i wish i could play this game for the first time again.
Hopefully you can get some of the nostalgia back through my videos :)
Same!
27:27 You killed her during EMP!!! (her ultimate) I'm a Sombra player, but that was satisfying lol
Now we just have to pretend I did it on purpose lol
I've seen it done in a previous video too, so you're basically clairvoyant.
(In my best Tracer accent) It’s great to see a new hero learn to play and have fun. Keep it up! You’re doing great!
Appreciate the support! :)
Also I want to hear you try the accent now haha
@@SolitarySaturn hahaha if I do, it’ll mostly be telling my team to move the payload
It's a 3D game, so make use of heights too, and move your mouse upwards with some heroes to reach higher ground (Dva, Widow, Echo, Symmetra's Teleport, Pharah, etc.)
Let me continue watching, I might come back for being a smartass some more.
Tadaaaa
genuinely ur doing well for a new player
u have a good base understanding of high ground, cover, working somewhat next to ur team, not running out into he open in long straights alone etc
u wouldn't believe how long it takes some players to learn these things.
dw about toxic chat u will get that a lot as ur learning.
Really appreciate that!
@SolitarySaturn a few tips.
use the "I need healing" comms button.Inot sure exactly what it's set to on PC, but if you go to setting communication, it should tell u the key bind somewhere in there. this will just alert your supports that ur low health but obviously don't do it when ur out of position like alone in the enemy team
be aware of hero's optimal damage ranges. the game does have damage drop off, which varies per hero. so, for example, widow maker, a sniper obvious has a very long range... so if ur soldier who's mid range, u don't want to engage with her down a long straight... her gun will be doing full damage your gun will not. ashe likewise stay away from long sights against her as soldier.
someone like junkrat can spam bouncing grenades at distance but is so much more deadily in a short space, especially since it's enclosed. u rarely if ever want to engage a junkrat in a small room
soldier 76 damage starts dropping off around 30m. if u go into the practice range and turn right past the healing bots, u'll a bot on your left and some metre marker intervals on the floor... this will give u an idea of what the 30m in game looks like. headshots do more damage in general shooting supports, and dps generates more ultimate charge than shooting tanks.
when using soldiers ultimate, n wait until u have a 2 or more enemies in site, preferably when u have a good angle. place your heal station down first and then use ur ult. aim anywhere near their head ur bullets will find their way to head shots. don't target tanks with this ultimate unless they're already half or lower in heal.
soldiers gun is what is called hitscan ...meaning his bullets have no travel time and vertical drop. so always aim directly on target. someone like soujourns basic fire I'd what's called projectile ... meaning it'll have travel time and/or vertical drop (for some characters, like torbjorn). those characters u sometimes needs to lead your shots at distances... so aim slightly infornt of the direction the enemy is travelling in so they run into your bullets as they arrive
be careful chasing down kills. u don't want to run too far from your team for the sake of trying to finish of someone low. u might also end up running into thier tms as they fall back and then get yourself killed. ow is as much about protecting space, tms and the objective as it is about chasing kills. how from your team u play is determined by how mobile your character is. so solider has sprint ges mid range flanker meaning he can run off short distances around to the side or to take an angle or catch out a straggler and then run back to his team. mei has no Mobility which means she shud be playing with team at all times and more defensively.
lastly look through the key binds for your push to chat or type chat key... just let players know ur completely new and they shud be a little more forgiving
don't want to bombard u with too much lol but hopefully there's some stuff in their that's useful
That disclaimer was funny 😂
I love watching you try out all of the abilities, very entertaining
So happy you liked it!
18:59 I don't know why, but it made me laugh so hard how you killed that Sombra in the middle of her hacking 😂😂
THE FIRST MINUTE LOL
You improved drastically since the first video! Way to go! What's important is to have fun though, and you looked like you had a blast! (Well, that last game was very rough, but your entire team was struggling.)
I've been enjoying watching your videos lately! It's nice to see the perspective of a new OW2 player, as I have been playing since 2017, and it makes me happy to see new players having fun with the game.
I recommend watching OW streamers such as Emongg or KarQ to learn more about characters, mechanics, and map knowledge. They also make TH-cam videos for different characters!
Thank you so much for watching! The support means a lot.
25:48 god damn boy what a shot
Gameplay's looking great so far!
13:40 to use PileDriver of Wrecking Ball, you have to press Ctrl key hahaha while in the air, so he will dive
Lctrl = left ctrl
Keyboard usually have 2 ctrl and 2 alt buttons, so to diffrentiate between them it is usually added "L" and "R" letters for left and right
HAHA I love the title!! There's a huge smile on my face to see you giving more Overwatch a shot! Watching the video now :D
i honestly understand how hard it is to learn new characters and because of that i've been playing the same 2 characters since i first played the game 2 years ago. from my experience you just naturally develop game sense over time so my advice would be to just take your time learning the characters you enjoy playing in quick play :>
I love watching these videos, it’s like seeing a baby take its first steps. Keep making more, these videos are so fun to watch!
really enjoying the overwatch videos! can't wait for the streams! :3
Greetings to Sweden!🇸🇪
Always try to remember that you objective is the big white icon in the middle of the map XD
Gonna be honest. I don't think I have looked at the map once lol
@@SolitarySaturn hahaha it's right in front of you when you load in XD
I love watching your Overwatch videos so much! Your attitude and commentary makes everything worth it each time.❤️
Thank you for the kind words!
Thank you! I was trying to figure out how to do the emotes!
@@SolitarySaturn They're really fun! Especially when your team joins you in an emote party lol
I Love to see more of this series!
Omg i just realized you accepted my friend request crazy
As far as your healing vs damage ratio, the answer is you want to do as much damage as you can get away with without letting your teammates die 😂
8:05
You should try to keep them alive if you can but you don't have to trade your life for theirs if that makes sense.
Really appreciate the help and for watching the videos!
Enjoying your videos, it's really nice seeing your kindness trying to save your healings for your teammates. keep it up buddy
I won't miss any of your videos 👍
Appreciate you!
Important to remember with control points, you or your team has to stay in the area to secure it. If it's at 99% but an opponent is on the square, it will not hit 100%. This is why many teams that are losing will rush to the point to stand on it, which will grant "Overtime" enabling the losing team to mount a comeback.
so since the release of overwatch 2, there have been a few new game modes added which have made things a little more complicated, but generally all the game modes revolve around one team trying to capture/escort an objective while the other team tries to stop them, or take it for themselves.
loving the overwatch videos
Im in your friends list im so happy
in high elo ranked matches, damaging with supports is too much useful than healing, but in low ranks, where players cant stay alive by yourself, people will be mad if you dont heal them hahahaha
"Sigma twin." HAHA
Illiari's rifle can charge shots to do a lot more damage. So, if you want to get the most out of her, wait a second between shots.
Oh that is really good to know actually! I believe my mouse does have 2 side buttons
Then use tab button to switch chats between:
1. teammates chat - blue colour
2. general chat (teammates + enemies) - orange colour
3. friend group chat (if you enter the game with already in group with friends you will have 3rd chat with them only as an option) - green colour
4. personal chat (appears if you are speaking with someone in your friend list directly) - violet colour
Colours can be changed in settings, but usually all this are default colours.
It's so fun seeing you trying all those abilities for the first time! Looking forward to your next videos! :)
...und schöne Grüße aus Österreich! ^^
Vielen dank!
as a long time player, i am just enjoying see you make all the mistakes hehe. but don’t worry, we all made them. the best way to learn more is just by playing more. that said, the choice of enabling chat/audio is up to you in the settings. while it can be super fun to engage, sometimes the toxicity is a bit much.
I was hoping to give you tips while streaming, really looking forward to these uploads and getting to watch your improvement over the time! (There's a clear improvement from the last video and it seems you're getting use to the game more and more while still enjoying it "the important part")
Now, a main tip that would be important for every other aspect of this game would be obviously getting more used to this game and the diverse keyboard inputs that you have to be aware of. As you're getting more used to the game, you'll be able to think of more things at once, being aware and concentrated about stuff like
"What should i be doing now?"
"What was my mistake?"
and "What's the correct option/action always"
You can develop all these things with time and just playing more and always remembering to have fun, because that's the point of the game, i'm not bombarding you with Advance tips or any of that because as for now, you don't feel stuck or you aren't trying to look for a way to inmediatly improve now, the best tip you could get it's just play more and develop a good sense of awareness as you get more used to this game in general.
Sigma is my favorite tank to play. If you learn your timing/combos you can really hold space
25:45 nice rocket! on that specific game mode you win by having control off the point with shows a percentage at the middle top of the scree first to 100 wins
lol helix rockets are on point
Overwatch can be a lot to remember. You did well! The only way to learn the game is by playing. Can't wait for the next video. I main support heroes, so I was sitting there yelling at the Mercy to heal and boost you. 😂
I feel like I was playing Soldier 76 with a support mentality which isn't intended.
@SolitarySaturn it happens. Even as support, there are times when I will tunnel vision and forget the goal. Haha
@@phoenixpyropixie battle mercy moment 🤨
you can rebind buttons in settings so you don’t have to reach all weird across the keyboard, can change for all heros or you can change for only one if need be!
also i believe in order to get the other characters you have to go to your challenge tab and under heroes you’ll be able to choose which character you want to unlock through either playing games or winning, not 100% sure lol i could be misremembering
the disclamer was hilarious
Much better already!
Also, if you turn on the subtitles, you can see what the heroes are saying in English.
There should be tutorial in practice section. that will explain you a little bit about objectives :) Do not focus on advices from people that much, you will figure basics by just playing and exploring the game. Maybe try games against AI first in practice range as well.
You should adjust the controls if you don't like the shift to be an ability button
You should do a live steam so we can help you learn real-time!
nevermind i just got to 15 min the vid T-T
I think for beginners the best character is Moira because she doesn't need aim so you can focus on understanding the game
that disclaimer was wild how dare they >:(
Progress is being made! :)
25:44 OK That one was satisfiyin' 😂
This is very wholesome as previously stated loool. We'll get you to pro in no time 😎
I'm uncertain what challenges you need to do since I've been playing since launch, however you might wanna check the challenges to see what you have to finish in order to get it.
For unlocking new heroes it's just by playing games. Wins grant double progress. If he clicks the orange button in the top right on the main menu and goes to the 'hero' tab he can see how many wins each one requires to unlock.
keep up the good work, you're doing great! ❤
Thank you!
I think Streaming is a great Idea ^^ if you have questions you can just ask live chat and they help you.
1:22 i died🤣
You mention pressing shift felt wierd, you can change all of your keybinds in settings
Saturn Gaming
@@mamboonthetube7652 Ahh, I see, I guess that makes sense. But yeah, its so strange seeing all these greyed out heroes
In case you didn’t know you can manual reload with r
He does look like Sigma a little bit. like 20 years younger than in game.
My recommendation, LOOK at the whole screen, not just the middle. See the info given. If you see reds killed 4 blues, didn't go in and try fight all 5 reds by yourself. I don't think I need to say why...
Your sensitivity looks like it’s very high. Try messing with the settings until you find something that you are comfortable with. :)
I like to be in tune with my emotions.......oh you mean the camera! ;)
@@SolitarySaturn They mean your mouse sensitivity lol. Go into controls and change it. I think default is around 4. Move it down to maybe 2.5-3, and see if your cursor movement seems more fluid and predictable.
Oh I see!
what the hell was that disclaimer????
I made that haha :)
We should play sometime!!!!
I have a discord for the channel you can find the invite link in my channel bio :)
@@SolitarySaturn ahaha yea! mb! i joined alr! thank you ^^
27:29 You didn’t noticed but you canceled sombra’s ultimate
Oh really?! haha definitely didn't do that on purpose
You can hear her start to go “apaga” and then die before she can finish her ultimate voice line (apagndo de Lucas”
6 hours
Ohh I'm early :D
Okay, it seems like you need aim training. You should focus more on using your mouse to look around. You're missing a lot of shots because your sight/crosshair isn't on the target you're trying to hit. also, headshots deal more damage I don't know if you knew that. You're doing alright I think it's hard for people to put themself in you're position most people have played other FPSs or other games where movement is important your like a kid trying to ride a bicycle for the first time. to the naked eye, it seems simple but there's a lot more to focus on than just paddling. you will get it with time
Try fortnite pls
