    Great video! My high speed recently quit. 1-4 works great just nothing on high speed. Number 5. I can live with that but if more selections quit this video makes that a very easy fix. Thank you sir for posting. Stay warm and God Bless!!!

    fan speed - 1-4 use a diff fuse . speed 5 has its own fuse .

    on my 2003 the heater blower stopped working..it was a module on the hvac unit under the dash on the passenger side..replaced that..now my kid turned the hot to cold on the passenger side & now it stays cold on that side..do you think its the part you replaced?

    How did you determine it was a heater control panel and not the dreaded blend door actuator?

    Is it possible to replace that manuel control with a newer digital control? Would it be the same connections?

    • @Camerons16
      @Camerons16 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Juan Ramirez it is possible. Would be incredibly hard and isn’t worth your time. You’d need a doners truck for the wiring harness and you’d have to take your disk apart to get temp sensors in the ducts

    The fan on mine works all the time, but every now and then the AC, recirculating and defrost lights don’t come on and it blows hot air.

    Hey. I really enjoyed the video. I'm having a similar problem with my 2005 trailblazer I've already changed the blower motor resistor as well as the blower motor and I'm thinking right now that I might be having to change the switch. My question is did you have any lights on as far as the air conditioner and the recirculating buttons. The Trailblazer switch that you just changed is pretty much the same as the one that you have in your Silverado but I have lights indicating the defroster that I have on the rear as well as the air conditioning in the recirculating lights working. And just FYI the blower motor resistor and blower motor itself takes about 20 minutes each. Both are under the dashboard and easily accessible. Thanks again.

    My switches all work. I have a separate issue. I'm only getting heat on one side of my truck. The passenger temperature control works great, the driver side doesn't it stays ice cold. Any ideas what would be the cause and possibly how to fix it? 2004 Silverado 1500 4x4. Thanks!

    • @lrsfirefighter
      @lrsfirefighter 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The lights are soldered in. you will have to unsolder them and then solder the new bulbs in. I upgraded mine to LED when they started burning out.

      Guy Champagne I was in the same boat as you. Changed blower and resister. Found that the wire harness going to the resister went bad. Had to buy a pigtail and cut out the old plug.

      +Alton Michaud this part was a used part from a auto recyclers . I paid $50.00 for it . new I found that they can be any where from $150.00 up . mine had the same problem before it quit working . if I remember rite there where screws to take apart the unit but I never did to see if the bulb was a easy fix. thanks for your coment

      my issue stopped for years after doing this how ever towards the last year of owning the truck I was having a similar it turned out to be the fan motor . next time it shuts off pull over and give the fan motor a tap and see if it starts back up . that may be your problem as well

  • @pattibenjamin9350
    @pattibenjamin9350 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Instead of this problem could it be a fuse

    • @maxwellslifejourney
      @maxwellslifejourney  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The next winter the heater fan motor quit so it may have been a multiple issue. There also apparently is a relay that can give trouble.
