It's no surprise she's so successful. It's extremely evident her high intelligence. She could go in so many different directions. Rare to see that in someone

Like the Japanese saying: Ikigai - finding the balance between what you love, what you’re good at, what the world needs more of, and what you can get paid for ❤
Not sure why 100 people liked this falsehood. Ikigai isn't a Japanese saying, it's a concept, and all it means is that people are inherently born with a destiny, or "Life's purpose".
Not only is she self aware, she see much detail about people and their body language. You can tell she loves understanding people and how they do what they do, so she can do what she does well!
Just want to point out how the sacred number 108 pops up a lot in this video ✨ This YT video is 1:08:00 Jay talked about meditating with 108 beads And Cynthia Erivo's birthday is Jan 8 = 1/08 If you're reading this, keep going. You got this. One bead, one step at a time ❤
16:48 The ‘just start’ and ‘1% better every day’ advice has been one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned over the years. Even just doing something for 5 minutes is a win, and most of the time, once I start, I end up continuing anyway. But even on days when I can only manage 5 minutes, tackling a daunting task in any capacity is still a victory.
Cynthia made me realize that I need to go ahead and get a therapist. I planned to call better help, but when she said, you can’t just talk to yourself all the time, you need someone to help you process, well I’ve been looking for that in my family and friends, only to be frustrated and not feel heard or understood. This was a beautiful interview. Both of you are amazing.❤
Good job that’s a difficult first step to take. But I’ll pass on what my therapist told me which is to make sure you find one you’re comfortable enough to be open with. Your connection with your therapist is very important to get the most out of therapy.
The biggest take away I got from this is to literally just take the next step. That's all you need to worry about, not the whole hill, just the next step 💗 thank you Cynthia & Jay
For years I wanted to describe my Catholic experience and she said it for me "Restrictive and hard rules". It stunts your growth and creative expansion. I had to work hard to un-indoctrinate? myself from those dogmas spiritually, to become the best version of me. Thank you Cynthia❤
I found a way to live in hybrid faith I have hope maybe not now but soon the rules will be easier I can still believe in my faith while being myself especially in this big world
After much reflection - and as a creative too - I have come to realise that many of those 'restrictive and hard rules' are there for our protection and benefit. This may mean saying 'no' to some opportunities, invitations, walks of life or waiting. In short, discernment, which is a spiritual practice in Christianity. I am happy that Cynthia has found success and wish her well as she takes on more roles and maybe sometimes finds time to rest. It is sometimes in the rest that we can examine ourselves and ponder our direction.
She is sincerely the most beautiful human being on earth. Such a beautiful heart, full of love, life and openness. So peaceful and refreshing. And a world of knowledge and experience. Just beautiful ❤❤
I love the way he introduces his guests, I think he makes them feel so welcome and comfortable and that’s why the conversations are always so impactful
Cynthia I love you. I'm 21 and I've never exercised in my life. I watched this video at 5am and went outside and went running for the first time. it felt amazing and you've truly inspired me! Thanks Jay for bringing great guests onto this podcast :)
I love Cynthia's confidence, especially because it doesn't come from a 'I'm the best' way, but from a kind, loving, and as she says open way. Loved this interview!
Aren’t they connected? Your passions will reveal what your gifts are. Any talent can be honed if you dedicate yourself to it. Passion shows when you dedicate time and effort to improve on your craft and in the way you talk about it. And there’s always a next level of excellence in any craft. Continuing to grow and improve in your craft is eternal. You can keep reinventing yourself. Even highly naturally talented people still need to keep honing on their crafts.
I love her "just start" approach so so much. I also try to live by that. I once read a nice quote that this reminds me of: "everything you do is worth doing poorly/badly". If you are stressing about doing everything perfectly (especially in the first go) chances are you will never get started. And just getting started oftentimes goes a long way and is half the job and the catalyst for motivation to kick in. e.g. I helped somebody move on Saturday and was feeling very much exhausted on Sunday. But I had planned to meet up with friends at my local climbing gym and did end up going despite the exhaustion. In the end I was there for 4 hours and it was one of the best sessions I had in the past weeks. You will never know what your body and/or mind is capable of doing unless you START.
Without a DOUBT my favorite interview yet. I'm OBSESSED with Cynthia Erivo's way of thinking and loving and joy and trying new things and her advice on "just start"! I need to watch this every day.❤❤❤
I understand your feeling.. This inter view has this bright simple soft touch way who brings all necessary lift for the day. Humility is healing power , blessings to all..Salem from Paris Fr 🍓
I knew Cynthia on her come up and her success has not changed her beautiful humility. She encouraged me to let my daughter move to LA and attend AADA, her advice changed us both, thank you beautiful, we stay cheering you on. Xxx
at some point in this episode I decided I'd do the same, watching it every day. There's so much light and hope here! feeling grateful to be blessed by this content
I'm going to listen to this interview until I reprogram myself to exude the same confidence and warmth that Cynthia portrays. I used to be warm until I worked a highly stressful corporate role and I became aggressive with less empathy...I relate this to kind of playing a character and taking on their personality... Now that I switched to a service role and I need to be kind to my patients, I need a whole new personality and I'm very inspired. Thanks Cynthia ❤❤❤
This interview is confirmation to start pursuing my dream. I prayed and asked God where to start and I came across this video. I will never forget this. Just put one foot in front of the other and in due time I’ll be walking in my purpose. Thank you so much for sharing, this interview is phenomenal!
I'm speechless, her soul, warmth, kindness, wisdom, intuition, all is so beautiful! The last part about understanding in conversations to actually meet and love each other is healing to hear. I feel refreshed and joyful. Clear and brilliantly spoken both of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 💕✨
There is so much to unpack from her interview. I just feel charged, seen and also lost for the things/moments in life I could have shifted. I want to see the joy in the little things, I want to find purpose
I was meaning to start my fitness journey again and after listening to this interview when she says one foot in front of the other, today is day 4 since I’ve started n I’m loving it!!
A holistic actress......deep rooted in knowing that acting is not just impersonating a character, it's basically birthing and rebirthing a persona from a different dimension
Never knew about Cynthia before her role in wicked but from seeing the way she talks in interviews it’s just like wow, she has such a comforting, encouraging and ENGAGING presence. And even just the way she talks about how she gets into her characters, you just know she really invests her all and it’s not just about the fame and money. I love the way she thinks and the way she talks about things, you really can see how she thinks deeply before responding to things ❤️❤️ And also the way she talks about human behaviour and sees her characters as people and wants to portray their story in a way that shows these could be real people you meet in the world ❤️❤️
Dealing with the lost my of my Beautiful Spouse has really taught me to 'just start somewhere'!! Be thankful for the things I do accomplish. The next day, start again. Keep goin, ' keep pushin'🙌🏽Blessings🙏🏼
I wrote down so many little golden things from this interview. Just starting, finding joy, doing what feels good, speaking with love. All things we know but put so beautiful and just a great reminder and guide in the right direction again
What I'm going to start is, just like Cynthia said, hanging up a big bunch of clothes I've been avoiding for ages. Like she said, I'm just going to START. I loved the English banter between you both 😍 I love the quality, and relaxedness, in the coming together of two people from the same place 😊🇮🇪
I’m doing a presentation for my WOMS IN THEATRE class and I chose Cynthia Erivo to talk about then here comes this interview! Alignment. It’s due Friday! So glad I found this!
20 minutes in, and her talking about just starting, not looking at the end goal reminds me so much of this book Atomic Habits. I absolutely love her energy and view on life and how to tackle things that may seem difficult! I’m going to just START. Keep going everyone ❤️
This has really left a guideline for me on my path of self discovery. And being grounded to my purpose. I quote her words ”just take a step then another, something will definitely get done”❤
I resonate so much with the conversation about running. My first run was a colon cancer 5k to honor my grandmother. Running long distance has taught me so much for myself. I thought I would never be able to run that far. If you’re thinking about running start with running a little and walking when you get tired and run a little more and walk when you get tired again. One day you’ll go for a run and you’ll run further than you ever have. Then you’ll be able to run the entire track without stopping.
Finding this episode feels like a blessing... The way Cynthia so beautifully put-- speaking from a place of love can change the entire narrative of a conversation, as well as what the person takes away from it. There are so many amazing opportunities at your fingertips but actually taking the first step to do something that is totally meant for you to experience because it feels GOOD has been he toughest. So just doing the things that actually make me feel good is a huge perspective change on the imposter syndrome, Thank you for this! An absolutely beautiful piece.
Luckily my first meeting with Cynthia Erivo was a live concert of Cynthia Erivo with Matthew Morrison and Haruma Miura (who has passed away in 2020) . I am fan of Haruma and it's a great experience to feel the power from Cynthia through her great performance. I can feel the energy from her little body and it's blown me away. Stand Up is the song to get me through the grief of Haruma's lost....
Wow! Such a wise woman, I love the way she expresses herself with such a clam demeanor. She is intelligent and very passionate about what she does, you can tell that her career means more to her than just a paycheck. You’re such an inspiration Cynthia 💝🥰🌹
This lady and she is a classy lady who is intelligent, smart, intuitive, sharp decisive and absolutely a joy to listen to. Thank you For being her as a guest 👏🏾👏🏾. The best guest!!
This interview was so warm, she definitely reaffirmed me when she talked about "its best to start now" . Rather start now and at least you would've started. This goes with anything or any idea in life. I also agree with her that long distance running is more mental, I started awhile doing long distance running a while ago because of how mentally challenging it can test me. Great interview!
“Doing what feels right for ME, and not being afraid to make a wrong decision because it always ends up being right”…
What's meant to be will be fr so nothing is ever truly wrong for you ❤

She articulated so beautifully, what any of us go through when we REFUSE to settle...
