I have started flipping furniture as a hobby. I have only been doing it for about 2 months and It takes my anxiety 🙃 away. I donated my finished pieces to the non profit thrift store. All the $ goes to the local pet shelter.
I love your work and I learn a little from all of the other you tubers as well. Thank you for sharing your journey. Be blessed.

In addition to your obvious skills at furniture makeovers and your love for cats, I have to say that one of my favorite qualities of yours is your soothing voice. It is a welcome respite after a hard day of customer service.

Fabulous piece. I haven’t seen one of yours that I don’t like. Such a change to see some pieces of furniture brought back to life without using coloured paint. Also, to clean and treat the inside of your pieces is a sign of someone who thinks of every detail. I was taught, by my mum and dad, when doing anything think of what you can’t see as well as what you can.

I usually prefer restoring to natural wood/veneer of vintage furniture rather than the trend to paint it. However, your piece is so tastefully done, it highlights the beautiful wood too. It's lovely. You are talented : )

My DIY is my 100+ house, over the week end, I worked on the dormers (4) which were in very bad shape, I referred back to watching you make repairs with bondo and those small repairs with wax, the dormers are high enough no one would notice, well, except for me. LOVED THIS PROJECT 🌻🐝

  • @patmaurer8541

I'm just getting started with DIY and when you said you've only a year or two of experience, that's very encouraging! :-) Watching you work, I realized why my results always look so amateurish--because I've been rushing, trying to finish a project in a weekend. It clearly takes time, and a lot of effort, to get it right! Before I take on another piece, I'm going to create a nice workspace for myself. Then weather or a busy scedule won't interfere, because the piece can wait until I can give it the time it deserves. :-)

I’m so happy I found your channel, I am pretty sure I’ve seen your entire list now. I really haven’t seen anyone use Dixie Belle with a roller and I’m breathing a sigh of relief as I’m about redo my parents old bedroom:furniture two dressers, two nightstands and a vanity. A roller seems appropriate as it’s mid mod all flat like the one you’re doing here. It’s from their wedding in the fifties. I want it neutral, (probably French Linen) change up the hardware and add a colored wax if so thing. Most everything else I do is bold and colorful. What I want to say to you now that I’ve seen everything you have done or redone is this: your pieces mostly all look like they belong in a mansion or a millionaires home. That is really a tall order when much of it is a lost cause to start. Really impressive! You have a great eye for tasteful things and I think you’d excell at anything creative honestly.

Oh wow 🤩 that’s so kind of you to say. I used to brush or roll more often before I bought this sprayer. It’s so easy to use and the finish looks so much better so I use it all the time 😂. Im just finishing a big project so you’ll have something to watch 😜 good luck with your painting 👍

@@Flippingdrawers I just got a sprayer myself, and I will have to use it outside and was concerned the neighbors might get upset with it spraying everywhere. I live in a condo right now. Is it pretty easy to control? I mean once you get the hang of it. I use spray paint all the time on small things and I’m pretty good at not making a mess. I know I’ll love the smooth finish on furniture as im such a neurotic perfectionist haha. It looks rather easy doing a drawer outside the dresser. Flat and small I could start with that maybe. And with Dixie Belle you add like 10% water? No rush replying if you can I’d appreciate it though.
