Its practice that makes it perfect, practice so much that it becomes your second nature.

Learning martial arts is no different from learning a musical instrument like a guitar. You start to learn very very slowly... chord by chord, then you begin to create some chord progressions, then you speed it up even more with more advance progressions, and then you start to mix it up and with practice you become faster and better. In a real fight, you don't forget everything. Just like playing a guitar solo or with a band live on stage in front of people, you learn how to adapt if you or some other person makes mistakes. A true master is not someone who learns to do something in a sequence. Everyone can learn sequences. A true master knows how to take those sequences, mix them up and create something unique - just like a real street fight is - a unique fight that nothing is choreographed and planned.

2:03 I was surprised the first time a dude tried to untie my shoes in a fight. I didn't really try to stop him since I didn't know what he was trying to do but once he untied my shoes I was doomed. Learning how to protect your shoelaces is very important.

It would have been very good channel if Val have had been present here for last year. Only handful of videos uploaded, last one more thank 12 months ago. Great idea and interesting style, just wasted and not updated regularly as if he started and never finished fully before disappeared. I am instructor in Krav Maga and there is so much more on this than Systema. He brought new style, I like it a lot just not sufficient to make it worth subscribing.

Kicks - ok, but the leg techniques are very dangerous for the defender, bacause his hands are down, that's why he will defenetly get a punch to the face with that. However, if he would fight the teenagers that even don't know how to punch, his techniques might work...
    Punches - funny, but ok.
Aikido throws - bullshido. All aikido is bullshido. If you are not agree, give me a link with a real full contact sparring, where the aikido guy shows his techniques against an experienced boxer/muai thai/wrestler etc.
Stick defence - bullshido. You will NEVER ba able to catch a stick like he does at 2:57 or 3:12... that's not real, seems that this man has never been in a real fight.
By this time I was smiling, but when I saw how he catches a knife at 3:23, I started laughing, thats the REAL Bullshido. You will NEVER be able to catch knife's blade like he did. And if the instructor does this self-destructive technique, that means - he knows NOTHING about real fight, and it's dangerouse for you to learn anything from this man.
The worst thing of these self-destructive techniques is that somebody will belive that he can use them to protect himself, and instead of running away, he will do something like 3:23, and die.
P.S.: super-bonus technique at 4:00 - the instructor has just stuck a knife in his own leg.

Martial arts regimens emphasize training, conditioning and repetition. This creates a sense of second nature. Well, that's the expectation anyway. But reality may shock you. I've transitioned from one martial art to the other and my line of work and way of life have brought me to numerous real life fight situations. My best advise is WALK AWAY.

There are lots of easy techniques can be applied in that scenario which is very applicable in a real situation..
But, nice video! Just need more practice and search for different techniques from different form of martial arts that can be more beneficial.. Learning is a process! Keep it up sir..

+aminul1984 Mr. Riazanov is former Russian intelligence. He's got combat training from time in the military and his Systema instructors were Spetsnaz officers. Pretty sure he knows what he's talking about.
Beyond even that, take into account that a knife only cuts if there is pressure and friction. Even if you apply pressure, if there isn't any push or pull of the blade, it can't cut. By controlling the attacker's arm, he limits the amount of push or pull the blade could achieve and in a worst case scenario, only receives a minor cut. Potential muscle tissue damage but he wouldn't bleed out nor would he lose complete use of the arm. Regardless, he would survive the encounter.
