This reminds me of chatting to a guy I used to work with in a bar, and we were talking about his 'martial arts training'.. he suggested showing me something, so I say ok.. then he proceeds to do a similar style of move and of course, I go with it.. then he keeps the pressure and forces me on to my back.. at which point I am livid. Then he adds an extra couple of seconds to the move for dramatic effect.. which I am totally compliant, as I do have good patience. I then tell him sternly to get off, and he does - although his insecurity was immediately apparent the moment he offered to show me the move. Now, the guy in this video clearly has a good skill, but it's important to realise that for any such move to be effective in a real life scenario, it must be practised several hundred, if not thousands of times in order to be truly autonomous and clean. it's been my experience that, in general, the people who do more "real work" as bouncers or get in a lot of fights tend to be very rough. amateur people who learn for self-defense really don't like it. but if your going to learn how to really fight, you can't be too worried about rough. in a regular school, it's toned down enough to keep students around, and in a professional military situation, they are actually more careful, most of the time (absolutely lethal methods must be taught "defanged", relatively destructive methods can be done more vigorously). bouncers, people who name their system after themselves, and many others need and really want a "reputation" and being rough is a part of getting that reputation. I really like systema training for dealing with this,, it is very good at helping you learn how to take "rough" treatment and stay safe and relaxed. the plus side is that you learn what it feels like, which is super helpful to learn how to do it. personally, if I trust a teacher, i am very willing to let them be quite rough with me, it's a part of martial arts. not just how to win, but how to be tough, how to not be bothered by discomfort, how to stay comfortable and relaxed and functional when shit hits the fan. anyway, just my opinion...
thats a part of what im saying. they like to be known as tough guys, rather than really getting serious about the implications of injuries in training. the best training has a balance of being rough in a safe way, a lot of "tough" guys just like to bully people.
+Richard Shapiro implications... heres one. do this or the other guys gonna put you down. this is not ufc with referees and rules. this is real. this is act or be a statistic.
All the videos of street fights and bouncers fighting and all types of physical violence and aggression, I've never ever... not once seen anyone pull off one of these trick karate moves in a real life situation.
What kind of person gives a thumbs down to this incredible video? Great educational instructions to defend yourself and people give it a thumbs down?????
Looks like Dude got a Nice New Hoodie for his Efforts!-WoW!, Lightening Fast!-Careful who you mouth off to, you never know what’s lurking in the “Quiet” Blink of an Eye! As the saying goes, “Careful of the Quiet Ones, they can Pack a Powerful Punch!”...Well Done! Both of you!!!
Not sure why so many are being critical of this demo. The guy wasn't overwhelmed with surprise or shock. He willingness to participate as the recipient of this ambush tactic shows he's not scared, he demonstrated a degree of courage as despite knowing he's not going to really harm you it does stun and throw a person. off for a moment. That's the whole idea, with practice this tactic could!d be devastating to one of those bully's that like to talk shit... Well done guys...😎
It's not respectfull for hitting that nice guy hitting that hard, I really don't like that. He schould do that with Bas Rutten, and I want to pay for see what happend next!
I agree, but he wants people to see how effective this technique is and it wasn't so extremely hard, just shocked at the power, speed and positioning of his body. Plus, they talked with the guy and explained what was going to go on before the shoot.
If you train half ass you're gonna get half ass results...in boxing when we spar we aren't lightly tapping eachother but we also aren't trying to hurt eachother. If you aren't used to the contact then when it happens for real you'll be thrown way off guard hahah. It's just training lol. That's just my opinion I still agree with you to an extent and by no means am I saying you are wrong.
-RINZLER- listen to some of Bas’ experiences. He’s run into people with all sorts of claims and he’s kicked their asses. I wouldn’t want to be the one to pull a knife on him. I like some of Fred’s stuff, but a professional fighter is a different animal. Try sparring with one (I have many times) and you’ll see how different the experience is. And ask them to allow you to use a weapon. You might be surprised at the outcome.
Agreed, for a demonstration, your level of force has to match your targets level of defense or else it's a cheap shot. Anyone has the advantage when the get the first hit and I wouldn't go full speed on someone I hadn't met before. 1:48
Yep l used this tactic on a very aggressive grizzly bear while out walking in the Rockies and it bloody well works. That bear didn't mess with me again I can tell you.
Hey I tried to look up your self defense and fight videos... Didn't see any... Hmmm.... It also works against those who need to breath. Seeing is how you could easily go for the throat... BUT what do I know! I'm just a humble youtuber. I don't have the same expertise as you, sir.
Or unaware/drunk people. Try this bullshit against a real fighter and get your ass handed to you. Still it may be good to have on your arsenal because you never know.
Because you're hitting a sensitive spot then pulling using the shoulder as a lever and neck as a pivot (both shoulder and neck of the recieving guy) you don't need as much strengh to pull that off than most other techniques. Also because you pull down, being smaller could actually be an advantage.
AH, I think you could still use it on a taller man, you would just have to use that striking hand (and maybe a low kick to the knee), to grab hair, clothing, ear ring, etc to start the rotation. that along with your own bodyweight drop... maybe...
Me neither. It's my number one rule. If someone is acting aggressive toward me I tell them if them come closer I will defend myself and then I basically draw an imaginary line in front of and if they cross it, it's lights out.
THAT's what I'm talkin' about. I gotta get some training. Cool video and cool channel. Stonewall Jackson said, "Always mystify and mislead your enemy." Surprise and shock clearly work well too. Excellent demonstration!
hes european, you find yourself in 'the wrong side of paris' at a certain type of 'club' and the bouncers will have at LEAST knives...and there will be no worries about the police..people go missing all day, every day.
+Exit 1Ø1 you have a weird idea of western Europe. even as tourists you can go quite safe trough the mayor cities. maybe you're thinking about eastern Europe.
The Captain yes, i ca see how it may appear that way, perhaos i should have emphasised more, 'the wrong side of paris' because, it is, as most western european cities very peaceful, but it also has very serious people, who have clubs, where serious business is done i happen to live in ireland, born raised in belfast, so i know a wee bit about violence' in western europe! =) although sadly, dublin now is probably the murder capital of europe, because the connections developed, the weapons and expertise gathered during 'the troubles' are now being brought to bare in criminal, gangster, drug turf wars.... its the saddest thing you ever saw.
+Exit 1Ø1 I hate to hear that. The Irish have always been fighters though. It seems like all through history, if they weren't fighting each other they were fighting as mercenaries. Things are getting rough the world over nowadays. The leaning seems to be for governments to be easy on crime and at the same time push for the eradication of a man's normal aggressive leaning, making docile men. So this paradigm creates better criminals and easier prey. God bless you, and Ireland.

I really like systema training for dealing with this,, it is very good at helping you learn how to take "rough" treatment and stay safe and relaxed. the plus side is that you learn what it feels like, which is super helpful to learn how to do it. personally, if I trust a teacher, i am very willing to let them be quite rough with me, it's a part of martial arts. not just how to win, but how to be tough, how to not be bothered by discomfort, how to stay comfortable and relaxed and functional when shit hits the fan. anyway, just my opinion...
thats a part of what im saying. they like to be known as tough guys, rather than really getting serious about the implications of injuries in training. the best training has a balance of being rough in a safe way, a lot of "tough" guys just like to bully people.
like a proper douche bag, skilled or not that's not what its about.
+Richard Shapiro implications... heres one. do this or the other guys gonna put you down. this is not ufc with referees and rules. this is real. this is act or be a statistic.
Once you relax in a confrontation, you have a better chance of moving fast and first. Awesome technique.
Best move I’ve ever seen to disable a potentially bad situation
All the videos of street fights and bouncers fighting and all types of physical violence and aggression, I've never ever... not once seen anyone pull off one of these trick karate moves in a real life situation.
leave the computer for a bit you sheltered child
You don't know anything about me.Show me where I can see this work in a real life situation or shut the fuck up.
Painted Pony Proud Boy I have to agree with you..all the fight situations I've been around has been chaos with very little or no 'style'.
Painted Pony Proud Boy .... works great in Matt Damon movies
Samuel Isaac. Matt Damon. lol
The volunteers facial expressions after the karate chop to the neck says it all🤣🤣
This is how my dates usually end when I lean in for the goodnight kiss.
lol
😂
Good one
What kind of person gives a thumbs down to this incredible video?
Great educational instructions to defend yourself and people give it a thumbs down?????
Looks like Dude got a Nice New Hoodie for his Efforts!-WoW!, Lightening Fast!-Careful who you mouth off to, you never know what’s lurking in the “Quiet” Blink of an Eye! As the saying goes, “Careful of the Quiet Ones, they can Pack a Powerful Punch!”...Well Done! Both of you!!!
he's turning red.. show me how to do it one more time . LMAO
😂😂😂
Hahahaaa I think the guy with the beard was getting pissed off : )
Al Codie your right. I think he was surprised how hard the other guy was going for a "demonstration"
"oh fuck , here comes another exampleouuch"
plo173 hahahaha..look my eyes..and pow again...hahaha
Lmfaooo that boy wasn't ready
Not sure why so many are being critical of this demo. The guy wasn't overwhelmed with surprise or shock. He willingness to participate as the recipient of this ambush tactic shows he's not scared, he demonstrated a degree of courage as despite knowing he's not going to really harm you it does stun and throw a person. off for a moment. That's the whole idea, with practice this tactic could!d be devastating to one of those bully's that like to talk shit...
Well done guys...😎
Work great when the person you dealing with has his hands down, and doesnt flinch.
exactly
Interviewer:Did You see what he did?!
Dude: No, no I didn't Lmfao
Lmao
The guy clearly says talk us through it. Not go full speed on someone who's just gonna stand still for you.
He’s French. Historically they only win against people standing still offering no resistance. To him, that was fair combat.
@@Owl566 He is Belgian.
I actually learned a similar twisting throw in the Bujinkan years ago.
But yea. That was greatly put together. Would surprise anyone.
Unbelievable. Made it look so easy. Great moves.
It's not respectfull for hitting that nice guy hitting that hard, I really don't like that. He schould do that with Bas Rutten, and I want to pay for see what happend next!
dont even need to go that far theres video of him getting his ass kicked in an amateur mma fight
I agree, but he wants people to see how effective this technique is and it wasn't so extremely hard, just shocked at the power, speed and positioning of his body. Plus, they talked with the guy and explained what was going to go on before the shoot.
Bas would’ve fucked Fred sideways
Damn. the instructor is putting all his anger on the poor guy. Is this Demonstration or you just wanna put ur anger on the poor dude.
are you a fool he was taking it easy!
Agreed, for a demonstration, your level of force has to match your targets level of defense or else it's a cheap shot. Anyone has the advantage when the get the first hit and I wouldn't go full speed on someone I hadn't met before. 1:48
probably because he lost all his fights in MMA
Watch again - the instructor said he was using 25% force....
Watch Fedro trying to fight in the ring...how can you teach basic self defence if you can’t fucking fight
HOLY SHIT HE NEED SOME MILK
Haha, bro your name is awesome..
yermama69 thanks and urs 2
Honestly, not even sure this should be taught to random people on you tube
Exhale Chemtrail kidieiiekkeeeeeurjuri
This is my favorite part time job and I hate it milk is bad for you. kills testosterone only bitches drink milk
Wow vos techniques sont très impressionnante et très éfficace ,très instructif vos vidéos merci
HELLUVA MECHANICS & TECHNIQUE!! PERFECT FOR BOUNCERS AND SELF-DEFENDERS.
Yep l used this tactic on a very aggressive grizzly bear while out walking in the Rockies and it bloody well works. That bear didn't mess with me again I can tell you.
I would hate to spar with this guy he has no chill.
Now that's a demonstration! LMAO ! He almost killed the guy !
well done sir...technique and form virtually perfect. Impressive
As always so glad i watch your channel
holy shit...that guy was a great sport...Mastro is a maestro...really good, wish I could have the chance to train with him...
this is almost a exact technique we use in Wing Chun
this works only against someone much weaker
Hey I tried to look up your self defense and fight videos... Didn't see any... Hmmm.... It also works against those who need to breath. Seeing is how you could easily go for the throat... BUT what do I know! I'm just a humble youtuber. I don't have the same expertise as you, sir.
Or unaware/drunk people. Try this bullshit against a real fighter and get your ass handed to you. Still it may be good to have on your arsenal because you never know.
Dude, I’m following you! AWESOME MOVE.
Impressive self-defense educational and very instructional.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I guess you'd have to be roughly same height or taller... otherwise reach & leverage seem a little difficult, can someone confirm this?
Because you're hitting a sensitive spot then pulling using the shoulder as a lever and neck as a pivot (both shoulder and neck of the recieving guy) you don't need as much strengh to pull that off than most other techniques. Also because you pull down, being smaller could actually be an advantage.
Good point!
Yeah, it's a big guy move. Good for dominating smaller people, but not someone larger than yourself.
AH, I think you could still use it on a taller man, you would just have to use that striking hand (and maybe a low kick to the knee), to grab hair, clothing, ear ring, etc to start the rotation. that along with your own bodyweight drop... maybe...
Are you a little person?
Fred doesn't appear to too friendly.
"Take repeated jabs to the neck and we'll give you this sick hoodie"...
"....deal"
Simple but so effective this man is amazing thankyou ☯️
FRED MAZTRO VS EVERYBODY THAT IZ A HEALTH EXPERT THANKS FOR THE ABUV!!!
Bas Rutten would play hide the salt shaker with this guy
***** 😂😂😂😂 Wrong move! That guy was comedy gold
***** Definitely, and well played on that comment, you had him down to a T😂
BOOM!
Mastro is too aggressive even when he's demonstrating, he nearly broke the guys neck and snatched his nose man.
so its ok for the bouncer to hit first??
i think so. i mean if the other person is yelling in his face then he's got a motive to think about using their bouncing to defuse the situation
If someone is obviously trying to pick a fight with them.
Gotta love when they stand still for you.
Best way to get taught, he did learn something that day.
I don't let strangers get past my comfort zone.
Carlos Alfonso ...unless she's reeeeally cute...lol
Me neither. It's my number one rule. If someone is acting aggressive toward me I tell them if them come closer I will defend myself and then I basically draw an imaginary line in front of and if they cross it, it's lights out.
Carlos Alfonso so true. same man. I will always tell them to keep a distance or I will keep mine especially at night.
'Watch his eyes'-Whack!
Woah, I wouldn't be cool with how he's doing that.
Its how you learn better and pay attention. If he gives him love taps what good is that gonna do when he's in front of someone ready to maul his ass.
Jonathan Camacho Not needed.
THAT's what I'm talkin' about. I gotta get some training. Cool video and cool channel. Stonewall Jackson said, "Always mystify and mislead your enemy." Surprise and shock clearly work well too. Excellent demonstration!
This a another level I'm not ready for yet be back in a month
originally developed for bouncers
starts showing some technique involving a knife
sure
well the tecnique is for knocking down, with knife is another variant meant to kill, you're directly stabbing in the neck lol
hes european, you find yourself in 'the wrong side of paris' at a certain type of 'club' and the bouncers will have at LEAST knives...and there will be no worries about the police..people go missing all day, every day.
+Exit 1Ø1 you have a weird idea of western Europe. even as tourists you can go quite safe trough the mayor cities.
maybe you're thinking about eastern Europe.
The Captain
yes, i ca see how it may appear that way, perhaos i should have emphasised more, 'the wrong side of paris' because, it is, as most western european cities very peaceful, but it also has very serious people, who have clubs, where serious business is done
i happen to live in ireland, born raised in belfast, so i know a wee bit about violence' in western europe!
=)
although sadly, dublin now is probably the murder capital of europe, because the connections developed, the weapons and expertise gathered during 'the troubles' are now being brought to bare in criminal, gangster, drug turf wars....
its the saddest thing you ever saw.
+Exit 1Ø1
I hate to hear that.
I have watched many of these videos, and I truly believe that I have learned nothing. I don't doubt the reality of the techniques, I just don't really think Mr. Mastro is a good instructor in my case.
Goose well, I don't think so, but I am not in situations like this since I grew older. I handled them quite well when I was in them. Thats why I am old. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Leo Ryan maybe you don't have the balls. it take a certain type of force for it.. every force teaches you these things.
ever see other military or police? man they are brutal and that shit works..
miguel miranda Maybe not Miguel, I see you have the balls to say that to someone whom you know nothing about. Your mother should be proud. I'd be willing to bet you that the author of the video thinks less of your comments than me for stating my true opinion. What a gutless simpleton you must be.
miguel miranda I have actually, my wife is a law enforcement tactical instructor and has been in law enforcement for 36 years. I can if I choose to take her, and she could take you.
This guy is like one of those fake kung fu masters.
SuperstarPecanbar nah this guy about bussiness. Aint nithing fake bout that dude
Mastro is seriously good. But he is also a dick.
Wow, that bloke didn't appear to hold back on his Demo - Sod been on the receiving end of that with 100% effort!
The other blokes even looked stunned 😯
Right to the point! Outstanding! Semper Fi
Guy with the beard ain't feeling too well after that. Bit overdone.
