I think it´s great. In some comments peaple seem to not understand of the idea. We learned similar way in wing tsun. good demonstation (y) It sad, that people don´t understand that just one full power hit without gloves could be end .(
Awesome video, really shows the skills and how to apply them. I take it the guy working with Val in the demo was systema trained wanting to build up the flow of movement but as rightly stated 3 second fight, just hit the guy and work the basic's of movement to end the fight quickly one maybe two hits and its all over, really good thanking for sharing
Thanks, I'm 48 getting a little old for jumping spinning inside crescent kicks, :-) especially when its useless when it comes down to it. looking for something that works, but is not flashy.
I do Krav not systema but same principle. Everything i have learned at krav started in slowmotion walkthrough to get the technique. Then you can add speed power as you become proficient. If these videos were at full speed you wouldn't learn a thing.
I wan't to learn systema, but i live in France, and in my city there no systema lessons, i've learned a little, but.. i feel like i don't have all the bases to really feel systema guides my strikes and my body.
IIt looks pretty deceptive. The Systema guys seem to have a very good understanding of footwork and balance in general. I have seen also loads of odd strikes that are hard to anticipate.
MMA is a fighting SPORT. everything you learn in it is not ''realistic'' because as a soldier on the battlefield, you just can't use that. systema is a military style of combat,it is designated to KILL someone rapidly. that's the difference. In MMA,you have gloves, rules, and the comfort of a cage,in combat, there is no rules, there is no gloves,no ref,and if you lose,it means you are dead.
Try Krav Maga, you'll like it & keep you in shape and if you get the right instructor will give you a set of tools to handle yourself in most situations. Make sure you find a class which is agressive and has handy students in it, otherwise if can be like boxersise .. I'm pushing 40 and have been training Krav Maga for 3 years, it works, its a bit mental physical though ... couple of the guys in my class are simular age to yourself
@@IGMComment Krav is not about Honor, it is about effective action that solves accute problems. Systema seems like a good system too. There is no need to shit on one or the other. I have trained Krav, I know G level guys, I have trained with Contractors who use it in the field, it works and is very useful as a no nonsense method of self defence against an untrained attacker
@@MrNiceHk I agree it's not about honor, and that is what bothers me, and therefore I cannot accept following such a system. Krav was developed and is to this day used primarily against like you said, "Untrained" so called attackers. - So it's a way to dominate the weak. Krav propagates abnormal, destructive, selfish mindsets,, and feeds your own aggression, ego which leads to over all destruction. Of course people can view this as self defense or your own preservation instinct. Systema on the other hand, also teaches human preservation but it extends further into the preservation of humanity. It heals body, mind and spirit, and is highly effective and useful. People, in the field, that have used this knowledge, do not return shell shocked so to speak, they have healthy psyches as compared to other field practitioners . Therefore it is simply my opinion, that Systema is the perfect answer to an unmindful attacker.
You will see this format if demonstration in all traditional martial arts clubs. The attacker moving super slow, or over telegraphing techniques making the instructor look better than he is. He won't go in a ring with someone who is trained to fight against non compliment opponents to test his techniques.
@@survivalpodcasting He was in a couple of TV shows in the UK. Under ground fighting? If the guys who take part in these fights were any good they'd be getting pro fights and earning big bucks. Assuming he was even involved. Anyone can claim they took part in anything if it's not recorded anywhere.

That you will see demonstrations in all martial art clubs, in slow motion with non resisting opponents? @@credibility63 yea and you'd be full of shit and just a Monday morning QB in all those other situations too. Go learn or you are only talking shit. If you want to talk shit, fine just be honest as to it being what you are doing.
Why can't he just show us fast in real speed? And why does the attacker have to fall like a doll all floppy and gives himself to the teacher and moves like a snail then as soon s he is touched he sways back or to the side quickly, bullshit, Russian people I have seen fight its not like this, its business I think go to US and make money maybe. Show us real speed and against a non compliant person who will move fast, the ballistic strike are a nice idea though.
Sorry, I mean no disrespect, Is this for real? I mean the moves look simplistic & not labor intensive, but effective, it seems to get the job done without much energy, I am a student of Kung-Fu, Ninjutsu, & Jiu-Jitsu.
he doesn't even know how to throw a basic punch why would anyone follow his system .....If you have any training at all you can easily see had flawed it is
Haha this guy... you just move real slow and ill just punch you in the face... Lol why are all of you so obsessed haven't you heard of Bruce lee? Jeet kune do ? The way of the intercepting fist? All of you acting like experts putting other people and styles down. .. It's about the fighter not the art
Well, same thing is use in wing tsun. we learn same moves...of course..little bit different aproaching. but this is same idea. NOT block! bus move aside.
How come nobody uses this in MMA?? Hmm..MMA is as realistic to a fight as you can get. besides eye poking and kicking in the groin. know why they don't use this stuff in the video??...cause it's GARBAGE ..LOL it doesn't work against any half way decent fighter. LOL
I'm sry man, but mma and all other ring sport aren't realistic at all. One thing is what u mean by a term „fight“ In most cases the one is just being picked to fight because he looks weaker and often he rly is weaker also it is in the situation when the attack is not being expected so your opponent is in completely different state of psychic readiness. It is also called „selfdefence“ and all the point of it is not to be harmed at all cost. There is huge difference in using nonverbal communication that u look like u are not going to fight or defend to the last moment which would be nonsence in case of ring fight. There are also social norms that bind and make u act differently. What u imagine by a „fight“ is probably some kind of „Tekken“ fight where to somehow equal opponents stand against each other. God knows when u would try such a thing against me I would pull up a knife and never mind how genuine puncher u are, u would not have courage to attack me. Just realize what is possible to loose in ring and what can be lost on the street...
Maester Nicitel So basically what you are saying is..you need a knife to win a fight against a decent fighter..LOL!!! thank you for proving my point. Also in my comment above I said this stuff is garbage in "A Fight" you sneaking up to somebody with your knife and stabbing them is not a fight, that's an attack. LOL knives are for cowards like yourself who can't win a fight with their hands. try killing somebody hand to hand with Systema moves since it's so effective..LOL!!!!
Hey man i trained in systema under Alex Kostic, and i now train mma and boxing. And the thing with systema is these are all drills, nobody expects you to fight like this, its like asking a boxer why he does pushups, cos that aint gona help him punch somebody... Systema has great potential, but in the most gyms its trained wrong. This is softwork, and of course there is hard work, like full contact sparing or fight...
this is the best systema teacher hands down
He is speaking about keeping free flowing and relaxed and realise we will not always have the luxery to be in a comfortable stance

I think you should start adding subtitles or captions for a better understanding, other than that, good job keep it up! Really helps. God bless.
