    I made your carrot cake oatmeal in bulk and froze it in individual portions before I had my second son. It was a healthy, fast, and easy breakfast after having the baby and oats support breastfeeding so that was an added bonus! Love Eat Smart!

    I always just put lentils and carrots in the tomato sauce for the lasagna, tastes amazing! And when I make the bechamel sauce vegan I just use vegan butter, flour and last time I made it I used oat milk and it turned out fine! You just need some patience while waiting for it to thicken, but other than that it's fine

    I make my vegan lasagne (or Bolognese) with brown lentils and lots of vegetables (celery root, carrots and peppers). I do eat meat occasionally and I still prefer this to the meat version :D

    Béchamel is butter, flour and milk. No cheese. So I think you can make a vegan version of it with oil and no dairy milk.

      I make my own all the time. I use like a margarine instead of butter and non dairy milk

      I make it sometimes with vege "milk" (almond/rice/etc) and oil. Works just fine :)

    I’ve been plant based almost a year and half and a year in I became low iron, anemic. i started taking liquid chlorophyll and after 3 month I’m no longer anemic!

    Just for you to be aware the Vitamin D spray you have is not vegan, also you should keep it in the fridge rather then on room temperature . This is not criticizing, I thought you would just want to know :) I love your channel, keep up the good work!!

    @niomismart there’s an incredible vegan parmesan cheese by a brand called Vegusto called ‘No Moo Piquant’ 🙌 the ingredients are very natural, soy free and mostly made of nuts so no nasties :) They sell in Wholefoods and Planet Organic 🙊

    I take vitamin D drops cause I'm always low in my blood work, I know some people say it doesn't work, but with the drops at least I've taken them and redone my blood work and then my Vitamin D has gone back up. I think I just have an absorption issue because I am in the sun for about 2-3 hours per day with my dog.

    Oh and you can make vegan parmesan to top a lasagne by putting sesame seeds, salt and nutritional yeast in the nutribullet and whizzing until blended! It's soooo good!

    Totally with you on the liquorice tea, it's delicious! But I did want to give you a little warning: the liquorice can raise your bloodpressure, even if it's not actually liquorice but tea with liquorice taste! Since you were so enthousiastic about it, I thought I'd give you a heads-up about it!

    For the Vitamin D supplement, the most important time of the year to take it is the spring! Because the sun is not yet strong enough (especially in the UK waaah) to give a decent amount of Vitamin D, and your body stores are really really low in the spring!!

      @@wonderwoman5528 yeah winter is very important too! The vitamin D stores in your body last about 2 months, so anytime after probably about December is the time to be taking it!

      Wonder Woman I find that taking a vitamin D supplement really helps my mood. I take up to 5,000 iu every day (I live in Canada where there’s little daylight in Winter) and I certainly feel it when I don’t. Best of luck!

    Do you and Joe mostly eat the same foods (vegan) or does he make his own meals? Im curious to know how couples who don’t eat the same diet plan meals as I’m vegetarian myself and find it tricky with someone who isn’t.

      Penny Tan I'm vegetarian and my partner eats meat, when we eat meals together, I usually make meat for him, a meat alternative for me and load the plate up of veges. I find that's the easiest way to get veges into him and it's easier than cooking 2 separate meals which I don't like doing.

      I’m vegetarian and my partner isn’t, however about 90% of the time he eats whatever veggie dish I make for dinner. Other times we separately cook some meat to go with his food, but the main part is always something veggie. That works for us😊

      Penny tan. I eat vegan my bf eats everything. I cook vegan and he eats it and is fine with it. Outside of our house he eats meat. And for lunch cheese and such.

    The Violife parmesan is pretty awesome. Not a big fan of vegan cheeses either, but that one is pretty good - doesn't melt in the oven, tastes great though!

    Please tell me you trade marked vital vitamins! Such a great name. Lovely video! it was great to see you trying things you haven't tried before. I tend to mushrooms in place of mince in my dishes. I make like a mince curry wth peas and dice up mushrooms instead. I looked in to mince alternatives but the only one I liked the ingredients list off was the Ocado one aha. Will have to pick it up! I'm also really intrigued by the Follow Your heart alternative cheese range.
