Under the rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrew's you would be disqualified for improperly advancing a ball in play by picking it up and dropping in back in the fairway and then redoing the entire shot from the teeing ground. I don't even want to think what the United States Golf Association would think of such behavior on a golf course--miniature or not. Let's hope the U.S. Customs and Immigration Service doesn't find this footage or your entry in the the United States might get extra scrutiny.
I adore the ergonomics of the S1 personally but I don't have small hands. Hoping the V-Log update makes it a video monster. (or whatever the new release is going to be in a few days.)
@@tomariko Yes. The new 2.8 is sharper, focuses faster, focuses quietly so you can actually use it for video, the old lens you just couldn't, smaller, lighter, screen that shows depth of field on it, short cut key on the lens. It's just better in every way. Highly recommend it.
Jenny Gavin-Wear Thanks! I guess actual human intelligence still beats any artificial intelligence (for now)! Those AF system are not bad by themselves, it’s the ability to decide what’s important to focus on in a frame!

what?! man I live in Australia and took a holiday to England when I was 8. I think I've been to that mini golf course! it's AWESOME good to see it's still going all these years later!
Luke Fennell So great we bring back childhood memories for you. Though you didn’t say how old are you now, “it’s still going all these years later” you could be just 10 now🤔
I guess the update hasn't got to all around the world but with my Sony a7iii there is a timelapse mode now with firmware update 3.0. I was even able to assign it to a custom button.
The new Firmware update for tha a7 II is amazing, finally a timelapse option, but even better it now has allways eye af. No need to push a button or do anything just point the camera at a face annd boom it focuses on the eyes.
Akshay Anand Neither could the Z6. Don't see you commenting on that. That's because the video is mostly S1 video. Most pleasant image of the three BY FAR.
always great seeing you two have a good time, and reaffirming the Sony's superior autofocusing in the end, but.. did we really need a whole 10 -ish minutes of that looped hiphop instrumental?
'Phase or Face Detection'...tricky! So which one wins? It always seems that these cameras have strengths and weaknesses; one is better than the others at some things; AF, IBIS, design, menus etc so I find it frustrating to choose.
The previous generation of Sony cameras weren't all that fond of backlighting either, though I had a better hit-rate than what it seems the Panasonic is delivering here. Current gen crushes it with just about any type of lighted subject.
The thing is though, that Panasonic can't fix this without making a new camera with phase detect AF or something similar. When you only have contrast AF then you can't get reliable AF in situations with almost no contrasts like backlighting and lowlight. Can't be fixed with a firmware-update.
The super reliable autofocus was one of the main reasons that I went bought my A7III last year, and the 3.0 firmware update has made it even better. I know that camera geeks (myself included) love to obsess over noise, dynamic range, etc., but none of that matters if your photos/video are out of focus! My only real complaint is the low resolution screen and viewfinder...
"You do find it fun when you win." "Yeah?" Hahaha, gold. Amazingly entertaining video, this one. I prefer the do S1 over the Nikon in so many ways. The Nikon reminds me of what Nikon did in the D70/300D days. Agressive contrast, flat image, blueish hue. The grass looks like green concrete really, the pavement is almost pink. Especially when compared to the Panasonic at 5:37. I thought Nikon had figured that out but nope, this looks like good ol' Nikon to me. Surprised you like it that much! I guess it's also a matter of taste when it comes to colour philosophy, but I don't get how you can live with the blown out highlights the Nikon produces. Definitely prefer the Sony's contrast. Colour philosophy wise I'd gladly stick to Canon, Fuji or Panasonic though. I couldn't live with a Sony just because of the menus to be honest, it's horrible. Also the Sony definitely was looking better before that reset, haha. Now it's overly saturated and purple. What the heck. It's fun though how no brand really makes bad mirrorless camera's now. I ended up with a Fuji, but honestly I probably would have been happy with a Sony (except those menus...) or Panasonic too. Nikon is just not for me, weirdly. Must be the ex-Canon fanboy in me ;).
Nikons manual focus overide is better you dont have to flip a switch just turn the focus ring on the lens and it automatically switches theats one less step and crucial when have to get tour subject back in focus quickly
The next AF feature to come out after human/animal eye/face tracking is "active speaker" tracking that can focus on who ever is talking with multiple faces in frame.
I've used both the A7III and Z6 and I have to say that yeah the Sony might have the best autofocus in video and dual card slots but the Nikon has better ergonomics and button layout, a better EVF, better rear display, a top LCD, better video output options, better IBIS, a better menu system, a better lens mount for future lens designs and better color science for photos and video. I've also used face detect on the Z6 in photo and video mode and it works amazingly well. Plus Nikon doesn't have to worry about stealing video features from their higher video line since they don't have a higher video line. I think the Nikon is definitely the better investment as of right now for a compact mirrorless camera that's still relatively compact compared to the other 2.
I am interested in the Nikon Z7 and the new Eye AF for portraits. I tried one out a few months ago before the eye af firmware and body wise it is leagues better than the toy like Sony.
@@terrywbreedlove The metal body felt ok but yeah the buttons feel a little small and toy like. I haven't updated the firmware yet to get Eye AF cause you need an XQD reader in order to copy the file but combining full time AF with the face detect priority option and continuous focusing mode is like the cheating setting for street photography if you want to get peoples faces. I used it on the streets in Osaka Japan and you can literally just hold the camera up with one hand and compose the shot with the rear display and get lightning fast in focus shots of people walking by. I would never have been able to do that with my old D800 in live view.
That camera is the Z6 has IBIS Nikon's newly released firmware 2.0 update. It now has Eye AF and can now focus in a lowlight Candlelight environment. Plus Nikon has committed itself to future firmware updates with the next firmware2.x update features already announced which is likewise awesome.

The R is awesome. Ignore what the trolls say, even the specs are not that right. For example, apparently 350 shot per a battery, well, I get over 1200 on one charge 😁
The Canon R has a 1.7x crop factor for 4K video. That is like losing 50% of your video image compared to the Nikon Z6. Besides, Nikon has just released firmware 2.0 for the Nikon Z6 and Z7 with Eye AF and much improved AF in low light to focus in up to candlelight environment.
