That guy in the background, lol. We first spot him at 6:36, just walking and texting, no idea what is going on. We got to see the entire process. First, accidentally ended up behind Kai and Lok. Then, he laughed a bit about them vlogging. Next, he considered going around them. Suddenly, he realizes who they are. He drops back, frantically goes for his bag, and pulls his camera out. After presumably taking a candid shot of them that he will upload to Instagram with a caption like "look who I found", he pulls out his phone and has what appears to be a very fun conversation. We can only assume he was saying "dude, I swear to God, they're right in front of me...". Finally, at 7:55, he pulls a "now or never" and introduces himself to Kai and Lok.
I've seen early Sony mirrorless cameras with 18-55mm lenses without broken screens and with original Sony batteries for $100CAD ($75USD) and are great options. Same with Canon XS cameras with their kit lenses. This video is a great idea to show people can take good images with decent equipment without spending hundreds.
I prefer this version without silly looking cameras. The budget could be $100 - $200 and still be considered cheap or affordable for anyone on the planet. There are new cameras in this budget from nikon, canon, sony, olympus, pentax, fuji, panasonic, pentax. I hope to see this more on this channel. Maybe some used medium format - probably over the budget 😃
I used to watch both of you when I started photography, now I’m a fulltime fashion photographer and I couldnt be more happier seeing you two again! P.s. 300D is my first camera lol😆
Same, only I'm not a fashion photographer now, but still love snapping from time to time. Back in 2016 when my uncle gave me his old 10D, I would just binge DigitalRev for hours on end. Ahh, the sweet memories.
People underestimate how good the gear is from 10 years ago and feel like they need the best gear with the best sensor 😪 truth is all cameras are good it's all about who's taking the photos and their composition of the photos they take
I use an F4 and that's 30 years old, still works beautifully... Same with older dslrs, resolution and iso isn't that great but pretty much everything else will work pretty well.
every generation is 5% of a stop better than last yet everytime theres a new gen sony people are like "this has like... 2...3...5 Stops better ISO and DR " Bullshit. Check independent reviewers (dxomark, dpreview studio comparison, etc) and show me a A7III / A9 / D850 or any other full frame performing better at iso 6400 than a D600 at 3200 IN RAW stills.
@@cbflazaro DR yes. New sensors are much improved. 6400 is fairly low sensitivity for a good camera. Try shooting at 25k iso with that d600. Or shoot in 4k or 1080 120p. Try shooting video with 13 stops of dynamic range. I get the sentiment. You can take good photos with old gear. But a great photographer with newer gear will be better than that same photographer with old gear.
In my experience modern gear only really makes a huge difference in extreme situations. Lowlight situations come to my mind where crosstype sensors and a great ISO performance are of great help when you want to let's say shoot a band in a club. This is not to say that modern gear is not of advantage in a portrait situation with lots of light, but the difference is more marginal than one should think.
My first camera was a Canon 300D that was lost and never claimed at my brothers work. The year was around 2009/10, and while I was in high school, I learned a lot with it, I remember kids back in the day were getting better cameras from their parents money, but they never really got the passion to learn. Today I'm a professional photographer and I can say that the 300D was the best camera to learn with cause it puxed me to improve myself, it made me love photography and find my vocation. Nowadays I still have my old 300D on the shelf, while I use the 5D Mark III to work on what I love and enjoy doing. Remember kids, less is more, having a super camera from the beginning will probably just make you confuse on how to use all those features and make you demotivated about photography.
i started with a 350d, same lost and never claimed story. they're fantastic cameras. now I'm on a 5d mark II. kinda similar story, except I didn't become a professional :D
Between the two, I'd buy 6D II these days. I'm shooting on 7DII and while I love it, the features on 6DII are the same or better than the 7D. Perhaps if you are shooting in the rain and snow or have a large collection of EF-S glass you should prefer the 7D. Note: You can buy a 7DII second hand for around $700 USD on ebay with an 18-135 IS USM lens. It's a very versatile piece of glass with silent af and is a great combo for dependable auto focus video. Though if you were to go a different direction you can get a panasonic gx85 with two lenses for 497 on adorama. That's in body IS and 4K30. The only thing that's missing is a selfie screen, but that may not be important to a prospective 7D buyer.
@@Kuromankuro i have a 7Dii for sport but im looking at getting a 6Dii for studio, portrait and low light work and want to see if its actually worth it and im just curious in general to see a real world comparison and not by someone who makes me fall asleep after watching 30 seconds of the video. Really dont give a shit about the video side of things as i only shoot stills. I dont bother with ef-s glass really either so i can use any of my current lenses on either body

you two are a great team! the canon took some really artistic looking shots (light wise), except in black and white I found that to INCREASE the noise actually.
This is my favorite photography video of all time. I love the way they exploit how every minuscule investment into the camera can provide edge in making richer images
The NEX-F3 was my first camera. I learned photography from it (in 2013), and being a mirrorless helped a lot showing in real time the effects of aperture, shutter speed, and focal lenght. Had a lot of fun. The Brazilian manufactured ones, however, came with banding in 800+ iso (or whenever it felt like it). I still use it for my M42 lenses (since I own a Nikon).
@@dangernba I got a used RX100 IV at 450 this April. It fit my requirements of being premium, having controls, small enough to fit my pockets and a gimmick (slow motion)
My cat has no eyes! She lost them to infection. Don't think so! Not sure about the 300D but the Sony will have better dynamic range than a cheap smart phone, may be not top of the line smart phones with their smart HDR tricks. Also you can't learn all the controls of a camera to take the shot that you want
Happy to see Kay & Look together (very happy) ... I have already photographed with Asahi Pentax, Nikon, Minolta, Canon since 1972 and I can say that none is more faithful and durable than Canon. Film or digital ... Even with all its limitations, I know that with Canon I can rest easy ...
