    Thx man! But I have a question - how do I fight someone taller and stronger than me? There's a guy two years older than me who bullies me and beats me up. So I wanna beat him up

    • @frequencyexpert
      @frequencyexpert  8 ปีที่แล้ว +86

      +Mango IOS Sucks to be bullied like that. I don't want to give you advice that will get you hurt. So all I can say is don't be afraid of the bully. By fighting your own fears you will become stronger on the inside. Bullies will pick on the weak, but they will avoid strong (you just need to show that you are not worth picking on). Also talk to someone that you trust about it, someone that you look up to. If there is a school counsellor or a family member that cares for you, you should share your problem with them and see what solutions they could offer you.

    Great demo on hand speed . I like when you started talking about keeping your hands lower and out of the other guy's vision because as you said if there angry they generally have tunnel vision and there focus is punching you in the mouth and knocking you out. So I have been working on a punch if I ever get into such a situation ( hopefully not) where I am relaxed very important with my hands at my side then before he has a change to react I've already punched him in the throat . I've always had good hand speed. there not as fast as when I was young but still pretty fast.

    about the 8:30 speech to hide punch in other movements
    you can see in slow motion scenes from Game of Death where
    Lee do a lot of movements, shoulders body and all and at a certain point
    the punch come out, that's good
    and at 8:50 speech to hit in the middle of the sentence is kinda referred to
    the broken rhythm Lee was talking about, you change the pace of the speech,
    youchange the pace of the action... so that the expectation is not realized as we thought it'd have ended... broken rhythm not only in the execution of technique, nice speech.

    Good video, but I think it's important to add that although a completely straight path is the fastest punch, a completely straight punch is a broken arm. (Bend the arm slightly but keep a firm wrist).

    just an added tip while hand first is fastest my fencing coach used to have us do all 3 foot than hand, foot and hand at same time and hand first than foot the reason being it's harder for the opponent to time your movement and block if it isn't always the same also by using foot first sometimes you can pull someone out of position it acts as a feint, especially if they're real jumpy or you've hit them a few times (hitting your foot on the ground before advancing can also do this)

      I always end up on my Heel or toes with my lead foot, at the end of a punch.
      Dont know why I do it, starts off flat. I use my footwork to move from my heel or toes from there. Dont know how to stop besides for repeating it over and over but still catching myself.
      Almost makes me feel like it uses my heel or toes to kinda richochet my momentum off the ground to my back foot then forward again to where I end up back onto my lead awkwardly again to continue the combo. Is this bad technique? Or is it good and I shouldnt nit pick at it?
      Slippery surfaces aint my friend Ill tell you that much.

    • @burnerjack01
      @burnerjack01 7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      As a kid, I was taught not to throw the first punch. Sounds good until you realize just how many fights are "one punch" fights.
      Better advice:"Once you realize that this is going to happen. hit 'em HARD.
      If you can't hit 'em hard, hit 'em fast. If you can, hit 'em hard AND fast!
      A strong victory, and to a lesser degree, a strong loss is nearly ALWAYS an investment in future peace and respect.
      Getting knocked out because you waited just makes you a chump and a target.
      BTW, there is NOTHING dirty about taking out you're aggressor quickly and decisively. This is not "sport". There are no rules. This is life. Get used to it.

      Use your dominant had as much as you can but if you need to, loosen your grip on your non dominant hand to swing fast and hard, it also makes your punches hurt less to you
