This is brilliant, thank you so much. Average person who enjoys variation in training & have just found Stones, sand bag, log & farmers carry at 42yrs old. 5"7' & 84kg. 6 weeks ago lifted first 50kg stone ever. I'm now on 80kg & 3 reps to platform with 3 min break between lifts. Advice & help for the average gym bro that enjoys watching strongman. So very relatable, thank you
I am presently training to lift the Inverstone in Braemar in 2022. Thanks so much for this information I am so struggling to find info on this subject. Thanks again - And ALSO!.......CONGRATULATION on becoming Europe's Strongest Man, we are at the finals in Birmingham - we are wearing kilts to honor the Stoltmans!
ALOHA, wow that was awesome!!! kick Butt performance my man, I would like to see more videos like this moving forward, the straight forward explanation is super easy to follow, I especially like your closing, "Professional Luke signing off," LOL way cool.
I have limited experience, best is 105kg no tacky or chalk - I find it very hard to break the floor but easy once it passes my knees, including getting it to a high box. What exercises are best for gripping a stone? 120kg doesn't want to move despite being able to deadlift 240 conventional! Cheers
Phoenix AF well Tom is the one who smashes all the records and I hardly call 20.37 sec to 20.69 secs smoking someone. He scraped through. The WSM was Tom’s first finals and he did pretty well. Martins is a great guy though and I am glad he won, but Tom is king of the stones.

Stones are a lot harder then deadlift . what is your max row ?
Take a lighter stone and hold it in the bottom position for 15 sec. Really focus on squeezing and getting your fingers deep under the stone.
Strongmens says, it takes time for new peoples, to get results
Thanks all for tips. Can't wait for gyms to open so I can do some stone holds :).
Would love to be able to train stones with the stoltman brothers 💪🏼
Presentation superb. But physically that became Luke’s toughest session in months.
Luke needs to do voice acting for video games, he’d make a ton of money
I never tryed stones, i lifted a 112kg one first time and i was about 86kg and 16...id love to train more strongman id just need a plan
Could you please expand on what you mean by not being a fan of mobility work Luke?

Every day training?
Not one of the best stone lifters. IS THE best stone lifter.
Well, Martins smoked him at WSM 2019 and then in the 2019 Giants Live Wembley...
Phoenix AF so?
@@paullee3660 So it isn't clear who is the best only time will tell

Very knowledgeable about the Sport. Just like Eddie Hall, don't just lift. Study the technique involved and apply it.
